Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Co-founder and CTO of Cinelytic, an AI Powered Business Intelligence platform for the entertainment industry.

For what projects/services did your company hire Dtail Studio?

We first engaged Dtail Studio to help us redesign our company logo, branding materials, and UI/UX for our SaaS platform. After that project was completed, we have continued to use Dtail to help us with designing ads, marketing materials, pitch decks, etc., and are now using them to help us create a number of public facing marketing webpages.

What were your goals for this project?

To redesign our branding materials, the UX/UI of our platform, and for ongoing design support for our company.

How did you select this vendor?

I found them by doing a web search and saw their portfolio on Dribble. I contacted them via email, spoke to them, got a proposal and compared it with the other proposals we had in from New York City based design firms.

Describe the project in detail.

Dtail has done too much work for us to describe in detail. Besides designing our logo and branding materials, they have designed many iterations of pitch decks, print and online ads, and other marketing materials. They created a very large number of internal pages for our platform, totally redesigning the look, feel and UX of the site. They are currently designing public facing webpages for us.

What was the team composition?

The team has changed over the year and a half we have worked with Dtail, and has included a project manager, graphic artists, web designers, etc.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The best demonstration of success is that we have kept Dtail engaged since Feb. 2018 (20 months) with continuous work. We have high trust in their ability to deliver quality design work within reasonable timeframes and cost.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow is good. We are sometimes a bottleneck because of juggling multiple priorities, but Dtail is responsive and we have a good process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive thing about Dtail is their ability to create really great design within short timeframes. Another great strength is that they are able to do many things well: branding, developing marketing materials, website design, UX design, etc. We find their work to be of the highest quality.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not really. These guys are pretty amazing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dtail Studio provided wireframes for a website. After some back and forth, we approved the UX and started collaborating with them on the UI design. They also provided some graphic design work for different landing pages as needed.

I mainly worked with two to three people on their team, communicating with them daily throughout the process.

I found them on Behance years before I had a need to reach out to them.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested over $50,000 on this particular project, but I've also worked with them on other projects for other companies. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from around April–December 2014.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Dtail Studio has the best designers I've ever worked with. Their UI/UX designs were well received by users and easy to implement.

How did Dtail Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They always go above and beyond. They were very timely and delivered ahead of schedule most of the time. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their creativity sets them apart. There's a difference between learning art and being an artist, and the work they create is clearly on a different level than the average product design team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

After working with Dtail Studio, we saw a noticeable drop in support tickets related to usability, a smoother patient booking process, and more engagement on our website, which all translated into a more efficient and user-friendly experience for both staff and patients. In fact, we noticed a 20% increase in patient interactions, particularly with the online booking system, which improved overall patient flow and satisfaction. We also saw a 30% decrease in support tickets related to usability within the first few months.

How did Dtail Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Dtail Studio's project management was on point. They were organized, communicative, and set clear expectations from the start. They delivered the project on time, sticking to deadlines while also making sure everything was thoroughly tested before launch. We mainly communicated via email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Dtail Studio impressed me with their focus on user behavior, not just design, which made the product more intuitive and saved us from a lot of rework. They thought like product people, not just designers. Every screen and interaction had a reason behind it. We had worked with designers before who made things look good but didn’t really understand flows or user behavior. Dtail Studio was different — they asked the right questions early on, mapped things properly, and avoided a lot of rework down the line.

Honestly, they did a great job overall.

Dtail Studio has essentially become our go-to creative team. They understand our brand well enough now that we don't have to re-explain things every time. Whether it's marketing assets, product updates, or new campaigns, they plug in seamlessly. It feels less like working with an external agency and more like having an in-house team that just gets it.In terms of deliverables, 
Dtail Studio has provided us with branded visuals and social media creatives. They've also improved our UX/UI designs and made feature enhancements. Additionally, they've created ad creatives, launch campaigns, and promotional content.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Perfect logo and device design. At the same time, all items were delivered on time and communication was at a very high level.

DTail studio delivered all deliverables on time and project management was transparent. We had a clear number of edits in the project scope from the beginning. All of these edits went smoothly and DTail was willing to incorporate any of our findings and comments. I am very happy with the output and their approach.

What were your goals for this project?

To completely re-design the app.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I found them on Dribbble

Describe the project in detail.

The scope was to re-design everything. The app already existed, so we had to discuss how to change every screen. They definitely helped with UX. Currently we are on Android and beginning iOS soon. It's a native app using Xamarin + Mvvmcross.

What was the team composition?

1 person for screen design 1 person for illustration graphics like empty states and user badges.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This is still ongoing, but so far we are very happy with the results.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication is very easy and smooth. We use Sketch.cloud to review screens, and Zoom for calls. Despite being offshore, we have no problems.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are good at listening and thinking outside the box. They don't complain that we want to tweak things multiple times.
