DreamX was hired by a digital marketing company to develop a web-based SaaS platform for a healthcare business. The goal was to design and build a technical product leveraging productive collaboration.
Although the initial experience with DreamX was positive, the communication with DreamX became increasingly limited, project momentum was lost, and the engagement ultimately stalled before the intended goals could be achieved. The client was disappointed and ended the engagement. This review is an update by the client company. The original review is located below the new content.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and your position there.:
I am the Marketing Manager of LuxSite Digital Agency, a full-service digital marketing company helping businesses grow through SEO, content marketing and performance-driven digital strategies.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with the vendor?
We were looking for a reliable technology partner to support the planning, design and development of a healthcare-focused SaaS platform and establish a productive long-term collaboration.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of the vendor's involvement?
The scope included discovery, UX/UI design, product planning, prototyping and development activities related to the SaaS platform.
What was the team composition?
We worked with a multidisciplinary team that included project management, design, development and business representatives.
How did you come to work with this vendor?
We found the company through online research and selected them based on their portfolio, positive reviews and initial communication.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement is no longer active. While the collaboration started positively, the project did not progress to completion due to a prolonged lack of communication and follow-through.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
At the time of our original review, we were satisfied with the progress made and optimistic about the project's future. However, after the review was published, communication declined significantly, project momentum was lost and the planned objectives were ultimately not achieved.
How did their team perform from a project management standpoint?
The engagement's early stages were organized and responsive. However, communication became inconsistent over time, updates became infrequent, and it became increasingly difficult to coordinate next steps. This ultimately prevented the project from moving forward as expected.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The team initially demonstrated a strong understanding of our goals and communicated a clear vision for the project. Their early engagement and professionalism created confidence in the potential success of the collaboration.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Maintaining consistent communication throughout the entire engagement would be the most important area for improvement. Regular updates, proactive follow-up, and greater accountability would help ensure that projects maintain momentum and reach successful completion.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The initial experience may be very positive, but for long-term engagements it is important to establish clear communication expectations, project milestones, and escalation procedures from the beginning

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
The project spanned approximately 4 months and covered the end-to-end design and development of our SaaS platform.
Key deliverables included:
- Discovery & research — competitive analysis, user journey mapping, and stakeholder interviews
- UX architecture — sitemap, user flows, and low-fidelity wireframes for the full platform
- UI design system — a scalable component library with a consistent visual language tailored to the healthcare context (accessible color palette, typography, iconography)
- High-fidelity mockups — pixel-perfect screens for all major modules, including dashboards, patient data views, scheduling and reporting
- Interactive prototype — clickable Figma prototype used for stakeholder sign-off and user testing
- Frontend development — responsive, performant implementation matching the approved designs
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
DreamX ran a tight, well-organized process throughout. They used a sprint-based workflow with weekly syncs, shared progress updates in real time via Figma and a dedicated communication channel, and were highly responsive to feedback often turning around revisions within 24–48 hours. Deadlines were consistently met, and on the one occasion where scope expanded mid-project, they proactively flagged the timeline impact and proposed a practical solution rather than simply slipping the date silently. That level of transparency was genuinely refreshing.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
For a project of this complexity — multiple integrations, strict compliance requirements, a large and opinionated internal user base — their project management was notably mature. They assigned a senior PM and a dedicated solutions architect who stayed on the project from kickoff to hypercare. Status reporting was structured and consistent: weekly written updates, a live dashboard in Notion, and monthly steering committee presentations that I could take directly to our COO without reformatting anything. Deadlines were met on every major milestone. One design review cycle ran four days long due to internal stakeholder availability on our end — DreamX adjusted the sprint without drama and flagged the downstream risk clearly so we could manage it.
What was your primary form of communication with DreamX?
- Virtual Meeting
- Email or Messaging App
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They challenged our assumptions in the best possible way. During the wireframing phase, they proposed a dashboard structure we hadn't considered that dramatically reduced cognitive load for clinicians. Their ability to deeply understand a complex, regulated industry and then produce visually stunning, user-friendly interfaces set them apart from other agencies we evaluated. The design system they delivered is something our internal team continues to build upon with confidence.
Are there any areas for improvement or something DreamX could have done differently?
If I had to identify anything, it would be that the initial discovery phase could have included more hands-on user testing sessions with actual end users. We supplemented this ourselves later in the process. That said, this was a minor gap in an otherwise excellent engagement, and DreamX was fully receptive when we raised it. It didn't meaningfully affect the outcome of the project.
