What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our new logo/colour scheme has been adopted and publicly unveiled. Internally, we agree the conceptual elements and brand strategy are consistent with our values. Additionally, our website has been updated and is now live.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The deliverables for the branding exercise were completed in a timely manner. Our liaison was easily reached through different platforms (email, WhatsApp) and feedback was generally acted upon within an appropriate time frame. Some tasks were completed ahead of schedule while others required more time than expected.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They appear to have a lean internal structure, which, together with their communication flexibility, makes them potentially very responsive to operational changes. Having the company's founder as a primary liaison also ensures efficiency and decisiveness on their end.

Are there any areas for improvement or something DotDesign could have done differently?

From a design perspective, they did exactly as we expected—our complete adoption of their work after the rebranding exercise indicates we are satisfied with what they produced. The data migration that they carried out was a smooth process, although certain recurring glitches were constant. Web development in general was a more drawn-out process than expected, although it worked out in the end.

What challenges were you trying to address with DotDesign?

We needed help with the interface design of our site's search functionality because we received lots of feedback from users saying it wasn’t easy to use.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

DotDesign helped us with the UI/UX design of the search feature of our website. Regarding the process, they started by doing an audit of our platform to come up with user personas. After that, they presented us with an initial proposal of the design in Figma, which we approved. Consequently, they started with the development and finished everything within two weeks, which included three workshops.

We were only working directly with Irvan (Founder).

A friend referred DotDesign to us.

We spent $25,000 with them for this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together throughout March 2023.

I was delighted with DotDesign’s simple but effective work. In addition, our internal team and owners gave positive feedback saying that this was an upgrade to what we had.

How did DotDesign perform from a project management standpoint?

DotDesign delivered earlier than expected, and they were responsive. They kept me updated on the project’s progress via email and WhatsApp — their team was very communicative and attentive to our feedback.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We couldn’t have done this without their help, and I was very glad I hired a professional for this task. In addition, I didn’t expect them to deliver a top-quality product this fast — they deserved the praise.

I’m the senior communications officer at a nonprofit organization. We work in the agriculture sector, and we support students, lecturers, and researchers in education and innovation.

We needed help in branding and design.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, DotDesign asked for our information so they could understand what we were doing. We provided our requirements, and they gave us design ideas and options. Our team then chose the best from what they offered.

After that, DotDesign created our logo and other design assets. They also helped us develop a more objective look at our overall branding. We worked on our colors, fonts, and icons. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with two people, and their designer was my point of contact.

How did you come to work with DotDesign?

I saw their designs on their website while searching for a vendor. I became interested in what they were doing, particularly with branding and web development. I contacted DotDesign, and they were very interested in working with us, so we chose them.

We spent around $8,000.

What is the status of the engagement?

We worked together from September 2021–March 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our center director and management team appreciated DotDesign’s branding work. The logo looked modern and represented our core values. While we haven’t yet launched their work, I think the public will like it.

How did DotDesign perform from a project management standpoint?

DotDesign’s project management was effective, and they were accommodating. They never missed a deadline; they followed up with us, and we tried to get it done and meet with each other.

Although they exceeded our budget, it was still within an acceptable range. We communicated through emails and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

DotDesign was an expert in bringing branding into the spotlight — they could see our company’s values. They understood our work and tried to make logos representing agriculture and innovation. Additionally, they were very professional in their work. They even accommodate requests that were beyond the project scope. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We needed some support with the project’s paperwork because we had to process many financial documents. We would have appreciated their help on this matter.

Their design work is very professional, so make sure you relay to them everything that you need. Be open in communicating with them, and your project will move smoothly.

We needed someone to redesign the website for our family business, so we hired DotDesign.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I began by telling DotDesign the objectives of my website and what I wanted in terms of the design. They understood this and helped me through the redesign process using Webflow. Their team even assisted me in coming up with a domain name, which was beyond what I hired them for.

I liked that they were professional, had done good designs for other businesses, and had a good quotation, so I got in touch with them.

I’m really happy with the design because it suited what I was looking for. The website is very accessible, and a person of any age would find it easy to browse through. As for the impact, I feel like the design has made it easier for potential customers to book their stay. Everything is clearer and looks more attractive compared to the previous design.

How did DotDesign perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team is very efficient. We usually met through video conference calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their price point really matched the quality of their work. Several other web designers’ quotations were pretty high, but I would totally recommend DotDesign in terms of their service and cost.

No. I’m pretty happy with everything.

I’m the CTO at Just Works, a software company with clients all over the world.

What challenge were you trying to address with DotDesign?

DotDesign helped me with UX and marketing design projects.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our biggest project was a gaming and trivia app built for iOS and Android. The team did all of the UX designs for this, including illustrations, login page, and more. The app is accessible in Khmer and English.

On the marketing side, they designed images and videos for social media with our marketing team. We had social media campaigns on Instagram and Facebook for our gaming application. They designed background images and other design elements for posts.

They also worked with us on a project for a beer company.

Irvan (Owner) was my main point of contact.

We met in Cambodia. We just started working together on little projects.

We’ve invested around $20,000 for the gaming project.

We worked together on this app project from February 2019–March 2020.

Their team is happy to fix anything that comes up. Clients like the app a lot.

How did DotDesign perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a management tool that’s similar to Asana and Trello. We put tickets there with a deadline. We also use Slack for a few projects. Sometimes, we have Irvan speak at meetings with our clients.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with their English-speaking skills.

Sometimes when working with designers, they think they know everything. DotDesign is able to adapt while aligning with their old practices.

No, I don’t have any complaints.

I couldn’t recommend more this team. They are professional, patient and supportive throughout the entire process.

They anticipate to my needs, listen to my requests, give me advice, suggestions and find me solutions at the same time they tell me when they think something is a good idea. Overall, working with them has been a pleasure as they are extremely helpful and organised. I will keep working with them for future projects and I strongly recommend them.
