I'm the founder and CEO of Xtatio, a company that provides sales individuals with personalized feedback to boost their sales performance and increase customer satisfaction/experience.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Dharmani Apps?

We’d built a prototype of our app, but we needed a partner to build the minimum viable product (MVP).

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dharmani Apps built a native iOS and Android app, following the instructions and outline of our prototype. We also provided a few screens for what we wanted the UX to look like, and then they asked a few questions to clarify what we wanted in regard to features, interactions, and scheduling.

From there, we began the first of three milestones, which were to make an upfront payment, built the front-facing part of the app, and finish the API configurations and testing. Most of their work was on the frontend portion of our app, and we just recently finished the final product. They also did UI and some design work. We have plans to build a web version of the product soon.

What is the team composition?

They provide a project manager, iOS developer, Android developer, UI expert, and API specialist.

How did you come to work with Dharmani Apps?

A friend referred them. They were communicative, had great past work, and offered a good price, so we hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in February 2019, and the partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We recently did a demo of the app with a large automobile retailer, and they had positive feedback. The app is simple, effective, and easy to use, which is exactly what our users wanted. We’re happy with their work and even extended the partnership until the end of 2019.

How did Dharmani Apps perform from a project management standpoint?

We hold daily calls to review the project and resolve any problems that may have occurred. They’re incredibly responsive, and I can talk directly to the developers if I want. We don’t have much documentation, but they’re able to make their code available to review within 30 minutes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re willing to work out of scope if it means having a more successful project. They’ve worked on the weekends to get finished on time and are committed to delivering high-quality results. Unlike many other firms, they offer a reasonable price and meet expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could provide more documentation to outline the next steps, but that’s not completely necessary.

I work for an organization called Hypnofy.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dharmani Apps?

We wanted to make an app, but we didn't have any developer in-house. Once we discovered Dharmani Apps, we hired them to create it for us. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dharmani Apps developer our entire native Android app from scratch. Functionally, the product includes two parts. The first, a hypnosis section, can convert several variables into a script which a voice reads out to users. The team designed the whole interface. They also developed the backend, which generates audio files based on the inputs that users put into the app. 

What is the team composition? 

About 6–7 people from Dharmani Apps worked on our project. The team included UX/UI designers, developers, and the CEO.

How did you come to work with Dharmani Apps?

We found Dharmani Apps through a recommendation. After a few conversations, we felt they were the best fit of all the teams we considered. 

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent about €25,000 (approximately $28,600 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working together since March 2017. 
 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There were no flaws or issues with anything Dharmani Apps delivered. The only constructive feedback we received while testing our app with customers related to changes our company needed to make. Internally, we're still figuring a few things out and making changes. 

It's hard to find a supplier as genuinely concerned with our success as Dharmani Apps was. They seemed genuinely committed to our project.

How did Dharmani Apps perform from a project management standpoint?

Dharmani Apps took the lead to guide us through the project. They're always extremely responsive. We didn't write up a detailed requirements document because they naturally had a sense of the look and feel we wanted. I enjoyed working collaboratively to design wireframes and prototypes together. We felt like one team, rather than two separate companies. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Dharmani Apps’ commitment to our project left the biggest impression on me. They seemed to really believe in our business. To overcome the time zone difference between us, they even worked on the weekends or evenings whenever necessary. Dharmani Apps always went the extra mile to find a way to help us out. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not to my knowledge, but we're still at an early stage. Although we had to figure a few things out together, the team did very well. I wouldn't say they have anything to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would encourage future clients to get Dharmani Apps on board from the very beginning. Make use of their UX/UI expertise and experience. I recommended the team to a friend of mine, and they're currently working together.
