I’m an executive at a financial services company focused on foreign currency exchange and international money transfers.

What challenges were you trying to address with Dev.Pro?

We wanted to give our brick-and-mortar agents additional tools to help them with their daily operations. They were using a web-based platform to conduct transactions, so our goal was to enable them to interact with their business operations through a mobile application. We did have an existing platform, but it only served one purpose and wasn't as efficient as we wanted. It was a matter of enhancing the application's current features and bringing in more functionalities to get our business to a new level.

We didn't have the internal resources to get this mobile app development done, so we decided to look for an outside partner that could tackle this challenge.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dev.Pro is helping us with mobile app development from scratch; they’re including and enhancing the features we had in our old platform and adding new ones based on a roadmap that keeps evolving toward improving the agent experience of our daily operators. 

Regarding the process, they’ve gone through a thorough research and discovery process, interviewing our upper management team to learn more about our ideas and the mock-ups and wireframes we had for this app. However, Dev.Pro has taken the lead on the platform’s design with back-and-forth communication with us for feedback. I’ll also mention that they adequately protect all the information we give them to avoid unauthorized access or other cybersecurity risks.

Their work has included setting up user acceptance testing (UAT) through Firebase so our internal users can take care of testing. In addition, they’ve also ensured that the app’s framework is deliverable for the different application stores, including security requirements, for instance. Moreover, Dev.Pro has been going outside the original scope to help us with our website’s UI/UX design and collaborate with a third-party team for our customer-facing app development.

We’re working with around 12 members of their team, including project and delivery managers, software engineers, and QA specialists.

How did you come to work with Dev.Pro?

One of our global managers knew someone from Dev.Pro’s team, so we decided to reach out to them. After initial conversations between them and our executive team and research on Clutch, Dev.Pro seemed like a good fit for us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Several departments within our organization will be using the app that Dev.Pro is building, so our organization will be connected through the platform. We’ve had a positive reception of their work from the pilot testing of the app, and we average four stars out of five in terms of feedback. Overall, this partnership has been an awesome experience.

How did Dev.Pro perform from a project management standpoint?

Dev.Pro nails project management by meeting deadlines, staying within budget, and communicating with us. They’re also receptive to our requests, flexible to make adjustments, and quickly incorporate our feedback into the project. In terms of tools, we use Jira and Confluence.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Dev.Pro’s best attributes are their overall knowledge, capabilities, and willingness to embrace everything we’re trying to do — everything about them has been tremendous. As a side note, I’m also impressed that they can deliver quality work while being based in Ukraine, given the Russian Invasion circumstances.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We have our meetings in English, but sometimes we have some barriers when it comes to me conveying my requests and them fulfilling those to the exact specifications of what we want. We’ve had to revisit some tickets because the work is incomplete. However, this is understandable because I know that part of this is on me too, and that doesn’t sway away the effort Dev.Pro’s team puts into solving everything immediately.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Having a thorough vetting process for choosing your team can be beneficial. Nonetheless, I guarantee you’ll be thrilled with whoever engages with you from Dev.Pro’s team.

I’m the VP of product and engineering for Ambition, a revenue performance platform. We focus on sales gamification, scorecard, performance management technology, coaching, and coaching orchestration for Fortune 500 companies. I oversee all product development efforts for Ambition.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dev.Pro?

We needed to augment and quickly expand our product development efforts to deliver on our roadmap. For context, when I joined Ambition, we were solely a sales gamification company. When I came in, we repositioned into a performance management platform. I immediately engaged Dev.Pro to help me quickly expand the company’s development capacity to achieve our vision.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We essentially use Dev.Pro as an extension of our team. We hire product managers, business analysts, product designers, and varying levels of engineers. Then, we mix them in with our staff. 

At present, the majority of Dev.Pro engineers are focused on our coaching orchestration solution. Meanwhile, the product team is focused on improving our existing offering and sales gamification. 

The engineers work in React, Django, PostgreSQL, and other supporting technologies. We run an agile scrum methodology and Dev.Pro resources are embedded into our teams. The product managers and designers report to me. 

What is the team composition?

Our entire QA team is composed of Dev.Pro resources. We also have four intermediate engineers that work on various projects across our pillars of sales gamification, scorecard technology, and coaching orchestration.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $1 million–$1.5 million so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the engagement in April 2021, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve grown our revenue in four years, and Dev.Pro has been integral to that growth. The Dev.Pro engineers are working on the most innovative products on our platform — we have Zoom and T-Mobile as customers, and Dev.Pro has participated in this work. 

How did Dev.Pro perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate mainly through Slack, but we also hold daily stand-ups. Dev.Pro delivers items on time and stays on budget.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Dev.Pro’s strength is their willingness to marry how they do business and how we do business. They’re highly flexible, strategic, empathetic, and understanding. The world is in turmoil, and many economies are uncertain. Given this, we treat each other as true partners. They’re a part of my team and strategic initiatives. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Dev.Pro takes care of their people; they have great career passing and skills training efforts. However, these don’t always match up with how mature we are as a startup. They may need to promote someone in their team for that person to be retained, and that doesn’t marry up to our processes. Having more alignment in this would be an opportunity for improvement. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Treat Dev.Pro as partners, and fully explain your strategy, vision, and goals to them instead of treating them as an outsourced team. I’ve had great results engaging them this way.

I’m the director of engineering at Popmenu. We build and host restaurant websites with sophisticated menu management integrations. Additionally, we create systems within those sites to allow restaurants to manage recurrent and VIP customers through a CMS with social media, email, and text engagement capabilities.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dev.Pro?

We mainly needed staff augmentation services due to the hiring challenges of 2020, 2021, and early 2022 caused by COVID-19.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially talked with Dev.Pro about the projects we were working on, the people we needed for those projects, and our expectations. The latter included filling out an entire development team and handling the project management entirely on their end.

From there, it took Dev.Pro around six months to fully staff the team. They first provided us with a single engineer who joined one of our existing teams, and they then brought in an engineering manager. In those early stages, I was in charge of coaching the new resources to get them going, but they took ownership of development projects as they kept adding new resources.

Throughout the staffing process, Dev.Pro constantly provided suggestions on how to tweak job descriptions and come up with different ways to look for the right engineers. Now, we have a full development team from Dev.Pro working for us.

Among the products that Dev.Pro’s resources have helped us build is a self-service payment management system. Using this system, users can go into their Popmenu account and change the credit card they’re using. Users can also have multiple subscriptions if they have multiple locations, a feature that Dev.Pro’s team has built as well. Another important feature they’ve implemented is a new billing system; they’ve helped us migrate our billing system from Stripe to Chargebee.

In addition to those feature implementations, Dev.Pro is continuously helping us synchronize data between Salesforce and Popmenu. This allows us to have features based on information on Salesforce. As for the technology stack, they use Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, Redux, and CircleCI.

What is the team composition?

Currently, Dev.Pro provides us with one project manager working part-time and eight engineers, two of which recently joined the team.

How did you come to work with Dev.Pro?

I was an engineer at a company where Dev.Pro had a full team embedded, and I was impressed with the way they provided full engineering teams to their clients instead of just individuals. When this project arose, we needed to start building software that helped our employees make onboarding quicker and allow customers to manage their own payments.

At that point, I realized we would need a full engineering team to join the project quickly, and I thought of Dev.Pro. I went to their site and entered my info, and someone from their team called me. I talked with their CEO during the first couple of calls, which was great.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $250,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2022, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Dev.Pro has been able to provide us with inexpensive resources of higher quality than full-time local engineers. We have really high standards for code quality internally, and their resources have met those standards, also meeting our expectations. Some of Dev.Pro’s resources have even highly outperformed members of our team in terms of delivery speed.

As for their staffing capabilities, Dev.Pro has helped us find the right resources throughout this process by providing excellent suggestions. For example, they suggested expanding our search to Latin America. Still, various of those resources come from Ukraine, so Dev.Pro has also done a great job of supporting those people during the Russian Invasion by getting them to a safe location.

How did Dev.Pro perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a rocky start regarding project management due to some miscommunication issues on my end; my expectations weren’t clear. Still, since I cleared my expectations, everything has run smoothly. Whenever we’ve brought issues to their attention, Dev.Pro’s leadership gets excited about overcoming them instead of getting frustrated.

We use Shortcut for project management and Slack for regular communication. Additionally, We have Zoom meetings whenever we need to discuss important topics.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The professionalism of the people that Dev.Pro hires is uncommonly high compared to the people with whom I’m used to working. Their demos are thoughtful, and they’re always deeply engaged in our phone calls.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Dev.Pro’s services could be more affordable; they’re better than their competitors, but they’re also more expensive. Other than that, I can’t think of anything that Dev.Pro could improve on. Something that I really like about them is that whenever I ask something from them, we just talk about it, and they make it happen.

For example, we had miscommunication issues regarding whose responsibility was to manage some of the resources they provides us with. Their delivery cycle time was very bad, and they had a lot of assets stuck in review. Thus, I reached out to my main point of contact and told him my expectations for these resources and the key metrics we were holding against them, and I told him that I needed to see some improvements.

After that, this person met with Dev.Pro’s internal team of coaches. Then, they brought in a new project manager who introduced very good practices, and they also assigned a QA engineer to their team. We've made incredible progress six weeks after implementing those changes; nothing gets stuck in review anymore.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Engage with them as if they were part of your team. They’re there for you, and they want to be known as the best, so you can help them by simply telling them what you want.

I’m an executive for a digital asset trading company; we have retail products such as mobile and web applications that enable customers to trade cryptocurrency coins on our platform. We facilitate about 800 different trading combinations.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Dev.Pro?

We launched our digital platform in 2014; we used a server-oriented architecture, and the software was monolithic and outdated. We engaged Dev.Pro to augment our technology team cost-effectively and help us refresh our platform and migrate it to the cloud.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our engagement with Dev.Pro has been twofold. Primarily, we engaged them to help us augment our technology staff, which they did. However, since working together, we’ve also leveraged their internal technology resources and developers to help us rebuild our software. 

The Dev.Pro technology team has joined our agile ceremonies, and we’ve fully integrated them into our workflow. We kicked off the project by moving everything to the cloud; the team helped us transition from monolithic servers to cloud-native microservices. They’ve helped us rebuild our platform from scratch using Python, Golang, and PostgreSQL for the backend and React Native for the frontend. They’ve also worked on our native web and mobile apps for iOS and Android. 

Our platform enables customers to trade and hold cryptocurrency assets within their accounts. Users can create accounts on our platform and fund them using Fiat currency or cryptocurrency coins. Once users fund their accounts, our platform enables them to start trading Fiat currency for cryptocurrency coins or trade coins with other assets such as Ethereum. We offer 40 different types of assets, so users can trade Ethereum for 39 other assets or convert their assets into Fiat currency. 

What is the team composition?

The Dev.Pro team has changed throughout our engagement. We started with a team of 9–10 back- and frontend engineers, full stack engineers, business analysts, and a project manager. At the project’s peak, we worked with around 13 team members, and now we’re down to working with five individuals. 

How did you come to work with Dev.Pro?

Our company partnered with Dev.Pro before I joined, but I believe we initially found them through a referral. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $2.25 million–$2.5 million CAD (approximately $1.6 million–$1.8 million USD) in the partnership with Dev.Pro. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our company has been working with Dev.Pro since June 2019. I joined the company in May 2021 and have been working with them ever since; the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since we’ve fully integrated Dev.Pro into our team, it’s difficult to pinpoint their individual success metrics. However, we’ve been pleased with the caliber of their developers; they’re technically skilled and deliver good-quality work. We’ve worked with local development partners before, and Dev.Pro has provided significantly more valuable resources for a fraction of the price.

How did Dev.Pro perform from a project management standpoint?

Dev.Pro has consistently submitted deliverables on time and on budget. When we’ve faced delays, they’ve resulted from scope creep and unforeseen challenges on our end, not theirs. In those instances, the team has remained flexible when it comes to adding functionality and changing the requirements for a reasonable rate. 

They’ve become an extension of our team, attending daily stand-ups, scrum ceremonies, and requirements ceremonies. Regarding project management tools, we use Jira for stories, releases, and tracking progress. Recently, we switched from Trello to Monday; we also use GitHub. We typically communicate via Slack and Google Meet; our difference in time zones can present challenges, but that’s no fault of theirs. 

Dev.Pro has been a very collaborative, accommodating partner throughout our engagement. As we’ve changed our technology stack, they’ve swapped out certain resources with others with more substantial expertise in our desired technologies. They’ve also quickly scaled and shrunk the team according to our changing needs. For example, when we went through a cryptocurrency winter that affected our revenue and decisions, we asked to decrease the team size, and they were more than happy to oblige.

Whenever we’ve shared feedback, they’ve implemented it—for example, Dev. Pro was consistently testing scenarios that led to a happy path, but they weren’t testing the scenarios that could lead to an unhappy path. Once we provided test cases that covered the full spectrum of our platform's functionality, Dev.Pro implemented our feedback. Since facing this issue, we’ve added a QA team, which has elevated the quality of their output. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve led technology teams and built trading systems for years, and Dev.Pro’s ability to collaborate and act as a true partner has stood out to me. Although they’ve provided us with talented engineering resources, so have many other firms. The difference between Dev.Pro and their competitors is their dedication to facilitating a two-way relationship. They’ve consistently worked with us to identify creative solutions that work for both parties.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Optimizations always have room for improvement, but I have nothing Dev.Pro could improve materially. As we’ve pointed out learning opportunities, Dev.Pro has willingly made changes and adapted to our asks. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise you to work closely with Dev.Pro; make them as much a part of your team as you would your own internal resources. They’re great at meeting deadlines, so set clear requirements and timelines, communicate them, and follow up; hold each other accountable. If you make an effort to make them feel like part of your team, they’ll appreciate it and deliver great work. I also suggest tightening up your testing practices and providing a range of test cases to optimize their performance.

I’m the CEO of a real-time analytics software and services company for the airline industry.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Dev.Pro?

They provided custom software development. We had a situation where we needed to start developing an application that would provide a front end for our services. We were staffing up our organization and didn’t want to wait for everyone to get onboard. We also had to make some technology decisions. We knew we wanted an application that would be compatible with Windows and iOS.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first real service that Dev.Pro helped us with what thinking through what technology to use. They completely understood what we were trying to do and they walked us through the pros and cons of each option, as well as a wider set of variables than I’d been thinking of: what technologies would enable dual-platform deployment, and what technology base would be more relevant to the people we would eventually hire in the Seattle market.

This part of the engagement went very quickly. We had to make a call and get going, and within two weeks, we’d thought through these issues. They used their experience going through this process previously to help us get started fast.

We ended up building the application in Xamarin, a C-based technology that allowed us to compile it for iOS and Windows. After making our decision, Microsoft ended up buying Xamarin, which confirmed that it would be a well—supported technology, and especially in the Seattle area.

Our application is used in the cockpit by pilots to receive information from outside the airplane. It’s very expensive to transmit data this way, so we did a lot of joint thinking with Dev.Pro about how to be efficient in sending the data from the ground to the air and vice versa.

There was a set of third-party algorithms that we were going to feed into the application output. We pull a large amount of real-time data streams from actual airlines and the aircrafts themselves, but we also pull from airlines’ back offices and independent data like the FAA (weather, etc.). All the data needs were taken care of in writing the specification.

The other services they provided through the process were UI design. We had twice weekly meetings, with one of those being focused on the new UI and UX design and the other meeting was focused on development and DevOps implementation.

We signed on with Dev.Pro to develop version one of our application and decided to take it from there; the hand off process was seamless, and they stayed around for consulting until we had our feet underneath us. They were also involved in cybersecurity to the degree that we had to agree on communication protocols and code quality. For each code review, we had to ensure that they were following best practices.

What is the team composition?

The project kicked off with their CTO, who helped us think through the technology selection and deep architectural items. Once we were clear of that stage we worked with a program manager and a UI designer. We don’t use 100% of the designers time, but every time we needed something he was there. There was also 2–3 DevOps resources and an account manager.

How did you come to work with Dev.Pro?

I’m long-time associates with the owner, and when we needed help, we looked to him and a number of other firms. At the end of the day, we liked Dev.Pro’s flexibility and tempo. They asked good technical questions as well, showing us that they thought deeply about what our goals were.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $1–$2 million with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June 2019–March 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

According to paying airline customers doing trials, the usability of the app is very high. They’re delighted with the functionality as well. Another highlight is the modern design and aesthetic of the UI.

They met expectations from a development point of view and exceeded them regarding the design and ease of collaboration. We’re very happy with what we received.

How did Dev.Pro perform from a project management standpoint?

We used a couple of different portals, including Microsoft Teams as a shared workspace.

We didn’t have any surprises on the budget; where we ran into some hiccups was on the design and functionality, but those were inevitable and as much on us as anything. There were missing parts of the specifications that we assumed we didn’t have to identify or articulate at the outset. We clarified those points thanks to really good teamwork and got rolling again with 10% of the original schedule.

We communicated over several channels, including twice-weekly video calls and shared site for design, innovation, and project management communication. All this was augmented between email between the key players. We encouraged their folks to go directly to the key resources on our team. Looking back, Slack would have been a useful tool, and we didn’t align our Jira instances as we should have. We weren’t quite sure how to fully integrate with them, and there was a bit of caution on our side, but they were very flexible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re ability to, relatively quickly, understand what you’re trying to get done and then help you think through the best way to do that before you start coding. We really benefited from this process. Their genuine understanding of what we were trying to do first led us to think about things we’d previously thought didn’t need to be clarified. This meant that, when we started coding, everything was on the right track. Their perspective is very helping in getting things going on the right foot.

Are there any areas they could improve?

During turnover on the project management side, they did a good job of bringing people in and training them, but there was a fair bit of it. The environment in Ukraine is very challenging here, and we had a good system of handoffs, but we wanted to make sure nothing got in the way of the program being successful. Their senior folks don’t change, though; the CTO we started with was there throughout the whole project. There are some roles, however, that you don’t want to see turnover in, like the program manager or the lead developer.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Understand that going slow through the first month or two and exploring the product will be beneficial. Rushing through this first portion will cause you to miss the benefit of working with Dev.Pro. They’re the ones who will be doing and testing the work, so having them understand what is supposed to be done is just smart thinking.

I am one of the directors of engineering at SalesLoft, a SaaS company that sells sales software.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dev.Pro?

We wanted to augment our internal team with a group that would complete custom software development for us in Outlook 365. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dev.Pro provides us with business analysis, design, testing, and development services. Initially, we only had Dev.Pro working on a one-off project to add a plug-in for Outlook Connect in Outlook 365. 

Since then, we’ve expanded their scope and they’re now working on the rest of our application — they’ve become an extension of our internal engineering team. Dev.Pro now does product development and some application maintenance; they build software for us and deliver new features for our system. 

This past winter, the Dev.Pro team built a framework system for Cadence, one of our main product features, so salespeople can come in and start from a previously successful Cadence template and then customize it as needed. Salespeople use it to have a structured contact system for their potential customers — it’s very helpful for them to have a template to start with. 

Additionally, they’ve assisted with design work. We created our logo in-house, but they design layouts, colors, and user flows for the system. Per our contract, they also offer us project management services.

What is the team composition?

In 2017, we started with a team of five that has since grown to 32, but my main point of contact is Pavel (Project Manager).

How did you come to work with Dev.Pro?

Dev.Pro was recommended to us by someone we had worked with before. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested under $10 million in the last five years. 

What is the status of this engagement?

I have been working directly with the Dev.Pro contracting team since March 2017 and the relationship is ongoing.

We produce three features a quarter that are very big, and we have 20 different teams across the U.S., Mexico, and Ukraine that work together on them. We’ve been able to count on the team at Dev.Pro to exceed and outperform our other teams and deliver for us. 

How did Dev.Pro perform from a project management standpoint?

Dev.Pro has excellent project management. They raise blockers and risks very early and always work closely with us to execute creative solutions. Additionally, we use email, Slack, and Zoom to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The best part of working with Dev.Pro is how much they care about the work that they’re doing. When we hired them, they very quickly proved that they’re not a stereotypical outsourcing team — they care about the work and they understand the reasons why we’re doing what we are doing. 

They make good judgment calls on their own without having to depend on us. Dev.Pro continues to show great ownership of everything that they've worked on. We don't look at them as outsourcing partners, we look at them as our team based in Ukraine.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are always a couple of issues related to individual performance, but Dev.Pro’s management team handles it quickly by either replacing the individual or helping them improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would advise customers to really trust them — the more that customers trust Dev.Pro, the more they will rise to the occasion.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CTO of Inveniam, and we’re in the business of verifying the documentation of private and non-traditional investment assets, as well as building trustworthy pricing. We also do complex calculations to understand the investors’ responsibilities and benefits from owning these instruments.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Dev.Pro?

The company was looking to fill the technological and development gap our previous CTO left behind, so we engaged with Dev.Pro for their software development services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

To maintain control and ownership of the technology stack that was left behind, Dev.Pro was able to work from the source code, so we can continue benefiting from all the work that we previously put into designing it. Since the success of the initial project, we’ve retained their team to become our primary development shop, building and managing our core products with our software architects. 

We use Node.js to operate on the AWS platform — so it’s essentially a microservice architecture using SNS and SQS enterprise service bus for communication. Other than that, we use Amazon’s RDS for PostgresSQL as our database in the backend, and we make heavy use of blockchain technologies.

What is the team composition?

As of now, we’re engaged with up to 63 Dev.Pro engineers to make up our development arm.

How much have you invested with them?

The ballpark figure of our investment so far is around $10 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in January 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Right now, our completion rate is above 95%, which is awfully good for software engineering. The productivity for each person has moved to 14 stories accomplished per month, and it’s been steadily increasing as more people get familiar with the project.

Other than that, the volume and predictability of their work have been outstanding. The turnover rate is consistently below 20%, so we’re retaining people and doing twice as good a job compared to the average in Ukraine.

How did Dev.Pro perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve established procedures for production support. We have a DevOps team that monitors our system and can respond to certain levels of needs 24/7. If we have to get developers involved, we try to keep our request within Ukraine’s working hours — but if there’s a serious production issue, we can escalate out of the DevOps process right into the developers.

I have a delivery manager in Ukraine, and I usually communicate with her through Skype, Telegram, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their engineering capabilities, and compliance with the process and documentation. Despite the challenge of not having access to the developers who wrote the code, they were able to successfully deliver the initial product. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

All their senior developers communicate clearly, but as you get down to the more junior developers, sometimes the language barrier can be an issue. I would suggest investing in communication development, but other than that I have no complaints.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would suggest being respectful of the team. They are excellent engineers and developers, so allow them to be as smart as they are to help you with important work — you’ll be surprised at what a great job they could do for you.
