What challenge were you trying to address with Devire?

We hired them to find and provide us with experienced candidates in the financial industry. We specifically needed candidates with previous experience in preparing financial statements and who are fluent in English.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, Devire verifies each candidate. If we don’t see any red flags, then we move on to the interview process. Their team also sends us other details and materials, such as the candidate’s resume.

What is the team composition?

We work with three people from their company: a consultant, a senior team leader, and a senior recruitment consultant.

My supervisor recommended Devire to us because she has been working with them as well.

We started working with them in July 2022, and our engagement is still ongoing.

So far, our cooperation with Devire has been going very well. They provide us with good candidates, and we’ve successfully hired two people.

How did Devire perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very communicative and easy to work with. We communicate with them mostly through phone calls and Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been impressed with the communication and their willingness to support us with our recruitment efforts.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We would be really grateful if they could provide us with more candidates in the financial field, but we know it might be pretty hard since the demand is high.

I’m the head of talent acquisition for Logicworks. We’re an AWS and Azure-managed cloud service provider. We work with customers to help them migrate to the cloud.

We hired them for their IT staff augmentation services. We were looking to expand our geographical footprint, so we needed to hire skilled engineers specializing in various technologies, such as AWS, Azure, Linux, and JavaScript.

Devire handles our IT staffing needs. They’ve put together a recruitment team to help us search for candidates for certain roles. Once they have a list of candidates, they screen them and send us the ones who meet our budget and are most qualified for the position. From there, we interview the candidates and hire them. Their team also provides payroll services.

We work with different people from their company, but our main point of contact is their recruitment manager.

It was through a recommendation from another company.

So far, we’ve spent about $25,000–$50,000.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to Devire’s efforts, we’ve hired four resources who are performing quite well for us and have seamlessly integrated themselves into our in-house team. We expect  Devire to continue finding the right candidates for our company.

How did Devire perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve managed the project really; we have no complaints. For tracking applicants, we use Greenhouse. For communication, we usually use email and have bi-weekly calls with their team.

We’re impressed with their responsiveness and ability to find qualified candidates who meet our high expectations.

I don’t have any negative to say — they’ve done everything we asked from them.

I’m the talent acquisition manager at IQVIA, a company working with clinical research and its technological aspects. We create products that support healthcare and optimize clinical research to get drugs on the market more efficiently. Our company also has a broad offering of commercial healthcare solutions related to AI and machine learning (ML). In my role, I specialize in AI and ML roles for Poland; we have a few teams developing aggressively, and I’m the primary contact who runs recruitment for them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Devire?

There’s a very demanding market here, and we were searching for very on-demand talent. We hired Devire to help us find big data, AI, and ML specialists.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Devire acts as our recruitment agency. They send me contractor candidates. We provide them with the job and team descriptions, and they approach candidates. The team also pre-screens the candidates and then sends us all their details. Sometimes we need to contact candidates throughout the process, and they handle that aspect. Regarding minor changes during the interview process, Devire is our prospects' key point of contact before we present an offer. 

After we choose a contractor, Devire is their direct employer, so they handle their payroll and other administrative activities. Currently, we have about 12 workers from Devire on our payroll, and we've contracted up to 100 people with them throughout our engagement. Some of the contractors we've hired have been our candidates, and Devire also provides payroll services for them.

When I need data from previous recruitment processes, they provide it for me ad hoc. Devire also writes articles about the contractor market and provides additional data about it when I need it.

A key account manager is our main point of contact, and we also work with around three recruiters.

They were already our provider when I joined the company.

We started working together in April 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We work with high-demand and extremely rare profiles, so our metrics don’t involve a volume of recruitment. Even though we’re not always able to find the right candidates for our projects due to their difficulty level, Devire definitely understands what they’re doing. The profiles they send us after briefing usually match our needs. We rarely give them complete projects as we search for candidates simultaneously; since we’re looking for rare talents, we need to use all the strengths we have. However, I share at least 40% of my work with Devire to lighten the load. 

When I joined the company, we had two vendors for payroll, and Devire had more continuous communication, while the other provider was less responsive. Moreover, our contractors reported better responsiveness from Devire, meaning they were happier with them. 

How did Devire perform from a project management standpoint?

When we have a high-profile project open, we constantly communicate with weekly catch-up meetings, so I’m always informed. We mostly use emails and phone calls as tools for communication. 

As for meeting deadlines, we’re all working very hard-to-find profiles, so it’s hard to measure Devire’s success in meeting deadlines given the challenge. However, even if they don’t deliver, they tell us everything; how many people they approach, how much effort goes into the search, and how they see the market situation without sugar-coating. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Devire’s strongest point is communication. They keep candidates engaged, and they’re also very responsive to our queries. I can call them whenever I need them, and they always pick up the phone. The team delivers answers or solutions for every request. Moreover, our communication is always pleasant, so we enjoy this collaboration. Overall, they’re very responsive, and their client care is at a very high level. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They have the same challenges we have: a shortage of people. Devire could use more recruiters. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Although Devire is very easy to work with, you need to be responsive. When you have a client-supplier relationship, you should nurture it.
