Devika worked on the full end to end development and infrastructure of my nutrition and fat loss app, Noura.The scope of work covered everything from the initial app architecture and UX planning through to development, integrations, testing, iteration, and launch preparation across both iOS and Android. 

The project involved building a fully custom all in one platform designed to simplify nutrition, tracking, coaching, meal planning, and accountability into one seamless experience. Key deliverables included the food tracking system with barcode scanning and macro tracking, personalised nutrition targets, recipe integration, guided workout infrastructure, education library setup, onboarding flows, progress tracking, live coaching integration, community features, and weekly check in systems. 

A major focus throughout the project was simplicity and user experience. Devika helped translate a very detailed vision into a clean, intuitive app experience that feels easy to use for everyday people, particularly women looking to lose weight in a realistic and sustainable way. This included ongoing collaboration around UX decisions, onboarding logic, user flows, feature prioritisation, and performance optimisation.

The team also supported the wider technical ecosystem surrounding the app, including integrations with payment systems, landing pages, analytics, app store preparation, testing environments, bug fixing, and scalability planning ahead of launch. Throughout the process, they were highly responsive, adaptable to feedback, and able to implement changes quickly as the product evolved. 

Overall, the project was a large scale custom app build with a strong emphasis on usability, functionality, speed, and long term scalability, and Devika played a key role in bringing the entire vision to life. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Although the project is still in development and has not officially launched yet, there has already been significant progress across both the technical build and business infrastructure sides of the app. 

One of the biggest outcomes so far has been successfully turning a large scale vision into a fully functioning platform that combines nutrition tracking, meal planning, workouts, education, accountability, and coaching into one streamlined user experience. The project has involved building a highly customised app ecosystem designed specifically around simplicity, usability, and long term scalability.

From a business perspective, the app has been built to support and scale an audience of over 4.5 million followers across social media platforms. Even prior to launch, the project has already generated strong early interest through landing pages, waitlists, email campaigns, and social media marketing campaigns. Key measurable progress and milestones so far include: 

• Successful development of the core onboarding system capable of generating personalised nutrition targets and user pathways

• Integration of fast and simplified food tracking workflows including barcode scanning and macro tracking functionality

• Development of a scalable recipe and meal planning infrastructure designed to support a large user base

• Creation of guided workout systems with exercise filtering, video integration, and workout delivery functionality •

Completion of key backend systems including subscriptions, user management, analytics, and coaching support infrastructure

• Multiple rounds of UX improvements and interface refinements to improve simplicity and ease of use

• Ongoing testing, optimisation, bug fixing, and App Store preparation ahead of launch

Another major success throughout the project has been the responsiveness and adaptability of the development process itself. As the product vision evolved over time, Devika consistently implemented changes quickly, communicated well throughout the process, and helped improve both the functionality and overall user experience of the platform.

Overall, while the app is still approaching its official launch phase, the project has already achieved substantial technical and operational progress and has created a strong foundation for long term growth and scalability.

Devika’s project management throughout the app build has been very strong. Communication has been clear, organised, and responsive from start to finish, and they’ve been highly adaptable as the project evolved over time.

Items were delivered on schedule, and when changes or new requirements came up, they responded quickly and implemented updates efficiently. They’ve also been proactive with problem solving, testing, and improving the overall user experience throughout development.

Overall, they’ve been reliable, easy to work with, and genuinely invested in helping bring the vision of the app to life.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed me most was their ability to take a very detailed and evolving vision and turn it into something practical, functional, and easy to use from both a technical and user experience perspective.

A lot of development companies can build features, but Devika really understood the importance of simplicity, usability, and creating an app that feels intuitive for real everyday users, not just technically impressive. They were also extremely adaptable throughout the process and handled ongoing changes, feedback, and refinements very well without losing momentum.

One thing I especially appreciated was how much they genuinely cared about doing things properly and to a high standard. On calls, they consistently went the extra mile to make sure nothing was missed, asked thoughtful questions, and paid close attention to detail throughout the process. It felt very collaborative rather than transactional, and they were always looking for ways to improve the product overall, not just complete tasks. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Devika Creations could have done differently?

As with any large and evolving custom app project, there were naturally moments where timelines shifted slightly as new features, refinements, and changes were introduced throughout development. However, communication around this was always clear and transparent, and the team remained responsive and solution focused throughout.

Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I genuinely appreciate how adaptable and collaborative they are during such a detailed and continuously evolving project.

We needed Devika Creations to build our platform and help me ensure that we were compliant with all standards that needed to be met.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Devika Creations has handled everything from proof of concept to development and assisting us with UAT for continuous improvement. The team has also helped with UI design and has gotten feedback from us so we can give them feedback from a non-technical user's point of view.

I met Ken (CEO) through a network we were part of and immediately kicked off the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Devika Creations has taken an idea and vision from someone who isn't deeply involved with the tech industry and translated it into something in motion. The team has been very patient with me during the proof of concept and has given me plenty of time to lean out the MVP. This has helped ensure that when we started development, there was minimal scope creep.Moreover, we've seen how the functions work and how to better the UI. We've also gotten positive internal user feedback.

Devika Creations' project management is on track. We communicate via in-person and virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm impressed by how Devika Creations is able to communicate technology to a team of people who aren't programmers or developers. I'm also impressed by how they're able to translate our creative vision into applied technology.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Having closer sprints would be good, especially to keep momentum. However, I think that also depends on the individuals they're working with.

Outcomes included a fully developed app and portal to take to market within timeline and budget.

They are set up using sprints, which allowed for us to touch base every fortnight and check in on works. This worked really well for all deliverables and stay in line with manageing the progressions.
