Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Deviate Labs serves as our full go-to-market partner for CoDeveloper, IFT's first SaaS product. The scope began with market research and brand development and progressed through launch campaign planning and ongoing execution.
Key deliverables include: the CoDeveloper brand identity and launch at our IFT FIRST annual event (booth content, videos, and event promotion); LinkedIn paid ad campaigns with systematic A/B testing across messaging angles; email nurture sequences tied to whitepaper downloads; organic social strategy for LinkedIn and YouTube; long-form content including a whitepaper and bylined op-ed placement; and sales enablement materials like one-pagers, feature page copy, and a closed-lost deal analysis.
They also developed our messaging standards documentation to keep all marketing scientifically credible and brand-compliant.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Deviate Labs successfully scaled our LinkedIn ad campaigns, generating exactly 400 total leads at a highly efficient blended cost per lead of $142.28.
Through their optimized lead generation forms and whitepaper campaigns (such as our PepsiCo interview asset), they consistently drove high-quality MQLs.
We also tracked 31 directly scheduled intro calls via our GA4 integration at a cost of $686.00 per scheduled call, effectively building our sales pipeline.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Deviate Labs utilized tools like Basecamp and Asana for highly structured project management, keeping us totally aligned with weekly performance reporting and standing virtual meetings.
They were extremely responsive to feedback. For example, they quickly pivoted our messaging to A/B test "Trust vs. Value" angles and creatively adapted our "Sous" AI mascot based on real-time campaign data.
They consistently delivered assets on time, even when faced with rapid turnarounds surrounding the IFT FIRST conference.
What was your primary form of communication with Deviate Labs, LLC?
Virtual Meeting
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What sets Deviate Labs, LLC apart is their ability to grasp the deep technical nuances of food science and translate them into high-performing B2B LinkedIn campaigns.
Unlike most agencies, they realized the importance of grounding our platform in peer-reviewed research, successfully positioning it as an "AI co-scientist" rather than a basic assistant.
Their strategic agility was also highly impressive; they rapidly A/B tested different messaging angles, such as leaning into IFT's brand authority versus platform value, to consistently drive down our cost per scheduled intro call while maintaining high lead quality.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Deviate Labs, LLC could have done differently?
There were occasional technical bottlenecks regarding CRM routing and HubSpot to LinkedIn integrations that required troubleshooting to fully attribute scheduled calls. However, this was largely due to the complexity of our internal systems, and Deviate Labs was proactive in collaborating with our internal team to resolve the tracking hurdles.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Deviate Labs was hired to design and execute a highly creative, multi-phase "Trojan Horse Funnel" aimed at generating 40,000 top-of-funnel engaged interactions, driving 6,000 virtual attendees to our conference, and achieving a 10% upsell conversion into our $279 digital learning modules. Key deliverables included full campaign orchestration across Meta and LinkedIn, the development of gamified, unbranded acquisition assets (such as an interactive "Veritas Simulation" reverse Turing test), robust cross-domain tracking integration utilizing Google Tag Manager and GA4, detailed email nurture sequences via Mailchimp, and end-to-end influencer partnership management.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Deviate Labs was hired to design and build a multi-phase growth marketing pilot for us. The strategic objective was to architect a funnel capable of hitting our North Star KPIs: 40,000 top-of-funnel interactions, 6,000 virtual conference attendees, and a 10% cross-sell into our digital learning modules. Key deliverables included full campaign orchestration across Meta and LinkedIn, the conceptualization and development of gamified acquisition assets (such as an interactive reverse Turing test), robust cross-domain tracking integration utilizing Google Tag Manager and GA4, detailed email nurture sequences via Mailchimp, and end-to-end influencer partnership management.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Their project management was incredibly agile. The team utilized rapid prototyping, delivering ad creatives, landing pages, and email sequences in days rather than weeks. They managed all moving parts flawlessly through Asana and Slack, and they were exceptionally responsive when we needed to pivot messaging or implement our rebrand mid-campaign.
What was your primary form of communication with Deviate Labs, LLC?
Virtual Meeting
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their technical fluency and true AI-first operating model. They are not a traditional marketing agency that just runs ads; their engineering team built custom, gamified web applications from scratch, developed proprietary workflows, and navigated complex backend API and domain integrations. They perfectly bridged the gap between highly creative, boundary-pushing viral concepts and the operational rigor required by a major academic institution.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Deviate Labs, LLC could have done differently?
Navigating our internal cross-school domain structures and rigid third-party registration systems (like Cvent) introduced technical complexities. While Deviate Labs expertly provided JavaScript workarounds and dynamic tracking solutions, factoring in slightly more lead time for institutional IT approvals on these custom integrations would be the only minor consideration for future projects.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Deviate Labs is an invaluable partner to us at Room Key Studios across SEO, paid media, website conversion, and organic social strategy. Instead of a typical vendor relationship, it’s been a genuine, high-level collaborative experience, with Deviate Labs shouldering and delivering every step of the way with an immense amount of technical expertise and impeccable groundwork. We cannot overstate how much we relied on Deviate Labs to help us both navigate and build the necessary technical architecture, which in turn allowed us to focus entirely on executing our creative vision.
For our website and conversion paths, Deviate Labs excelled with an approach akin to experiential engineers. We had a clear artistic vision and were able to realize it as an aesthetic digital space on our own, but on the backend, it lacked not only basic skeletal structures but blood flow and substance. Deviate Labs not only wired our entire infrastructure but improved upon it on multiple strategic fronts. This includes streamlining the “Book Now” conversion flow, optimizing landing pages, and strategically injecting necessary artist social proof so our artistic presentation can actually be leveraged to drive direct booking inquiries.
On the SEO and content front, they took care of all the technical heavy lifting, keyword research, and local search strategy. They knew exactly how to optimize for the search engine's backend algorithms to build authority, while giving us the room to edit the content for true brand authenticity.
For organic social, they were incredibly receptive to feedback. They paired us with a sharp project manager who totally locked into our vibe, delivering Instagram frameworks and content calendars that showcase our studio’s real personality without losing sight of our commercial goals.
Their Meta ads guidance and remarketing support was truly a total lifesaver. Navigating that ecosystem in-house would have been a perpetual nightmare, but they delivered a crystal-clear, incredibly user-friendly blueprint for our campaign setup and ad concepts. For our regularly scheduled reporting, they never overwhelmed us with raw technical data or bombarded us with metrics. Instead, the Deviate Labs team consistently communicated in easily digestible narratives. They excel at translating complex metrics into clear, actionable plans that even our team members who are less experienced with the technical space can easily contribute and chime in on.
Ultimately, they delivered SEO articles, conversion optimization, social frameworks, and paid ad strategies. They are a hyper-responsive team that has felt like family since we started working together. We are incredibly grateful that Deviate Labs' expertise afforded us the freedom to focus entirely on our creative work, knowing we have true allies who actually have our backs.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Since working with Deviate Labs, we saw clear progress in organic search visibility. From December 2025 to April 2026, our Google Search Console impressions increased by approximately 250+%, and organic clicks increased by approximately 300+%. This gave Room Key Studios a much stronger foundation for being discovered by people searching for recording studios in Los Angeles.
On the paid media and social side, Deviate Labs’ campaign architecture for our new Instagram presence delivered exceptional acquisition velocity. In a compressed 10-day launch window, targeted paid boosting generated 160K+ plays and reached 95K+ users, averaging over 16K+ plays a day. Rather than delivering passive impressions, the creative framework maintained a 4.66% engagement rate by reach, securing ~4.4K total interactions. This included high-value algorithmic ranking signals like 450+ saves and 300+ shares, while scaling our presence at a daily run-rate of over 150 high-intent new followers, bringing our total audience to 1.5K+ followers in our first week and a half.
Beyond these growth metrics, Deviate Labs helped us launch a more structured marketing system across our website, social media, and paid ads. They helped us improve our booking flow, strengthen our long-term social media strategy, and prepare an ongoing Meta remarketing pipeline.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Deviate Labs’ project management is structured, proactive, and strategy-driven, balancing operational rigor with the cultural intuition required for our creative space. Their team paired an energetic, highly collaborative project manager with the hands-on participation and supervision of a co-founder. This combination brought an impressive level of executive care and sharp insight to our strategy meetings, swapping clinical corporate tracking for an engaging, warm dynamic that kept our team locked in on our goals of increasing visibility, building authority, and driving direct bookings.
After major strategy discussions, they provided clear, highly digestible recaps outlining next steps, priorities, and ownership, ensuring everyone knew exactly what needed to happen next. This streamlined framework filtered out the noise and kept our executive focus laser-sharp rather than scattered. They were also exceptionally responsive as our needs evolved, frequently resolving unexpected platform glitches or technical adjustments within just a few hours.
Operating a lean, agile team means individual bandwidth is our most valuable resource. Deviate Labs managed this well by establishing clear lanes of ownership from day one to protect our time. They took full accountability for the technical heavy lifting, managing our SEO architecture, website refinements, and paid ad setup. Rather than just handing off the rest, they provided a structured blueprint for the elements that made the most sense for us to scale internally, such as daily content generation and community engagement. This practical division of labor kept both teams highly efficient without overextending our internal resources.
They consistently executed key deliverables on time, including landing page recommendations, SEO content, and Meta Ads setup documentation. Furthermore, they drew on their vast experience with online retail and tech brands to streamline our booking path. They caught potential friction points, such as recommending a stronger “Book Now” layout, before we launched campaigns and spent money on ads. Ultimately, their structured guidance and tempo provided a level of operational momentum we could not have achieved on our own.
What was your primary form of communication with Deviate Labs, LLC?

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What stood out most about Deviate Labs was how strategic, transparent, and intuitive they were from day one. They clocked the distinct identity of our studio and culture immediately, recognizing that we are not just selling studio time, but curating a premium, artist-focused creative experience. Instead of simply dictating actions, they explained the strategic thinking behind each recommendation and helped us evaluate the trade-offs between different marketing decisions, expertly balancing long-term brand authority with practical execution.
While their team grasped our core philosophy right away, fine-tuning the exact tone for our copywriting and content strategy required some collaborative alignment. Many agencies get defensive or even outright dismissive when clients challenge their direction, but Deviate Labs was genuinely receptive and attentive to our direct input. Our teams reviewed drafts together, exchanged candid feedback, and locked in our desired, authentic tone of voice within just a few rounds of back-and-forth. They treated our brand identity with genuine care and respected our direction from the start.
Their technical approach is equally impressive and deeply integrated. One of their co-founders succinctly demonstrated how our SEO, paid ads, and social media operate as connected components of the same system rather than isolated channels. Seeing how organic search metrics, paid audience data, and website conversion funnels dynamically reinforce one another made the entire strategy feel intentional, cohesive, and growth-oriented.
Ultimately, Deviate Labs operates less like a traditional vendor and more like family. Even during moments of creative contention where we pushed back on specific ideas, they prioritized our long-term vision over a rigid agency playbook to find a genuine middle ground. They brought structure, clarity, and immense marketing expertise to the table without ever overwhelming our team or diluting the creative energy that makes our studio unique.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
On an ongoing basis we had a weekly standing call with a Partner and a Project Manager. Occasional other individuals would join when there were topics pertaining to technical aspects around analytics and funnel optimization.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The high-level goal Thomas had when retaining Deviate Labs was to accelerate the growth of Tapfiliate as Thomas had bootstrapped the business and was starting to evaluate acquisition options. Part of the acceleration was premised on profitably scaling ad spend by 2x which helped drive growth and ultimately a higher acquisition multiple. After about two years of working together, Tapfiliate was acquired by Admitad. Deviate Labs helped assist Tapfiliate through the acquisition and assimilation into Admitad.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The reason we worked for Deviate Labs for two and a half years is that they were reliable and we had good communication and rapport. The workflow evolved organically as we grew the business and the overall experience was very positive.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Deviate Labs was able to consistently deliver a top-quality service. Many organizations may start strong, but progress slows over time. Deviate Labs was able to continue to drive growth for Tapfiliate from the moment we started working together and we treated them as a close partner in our success.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Hard to say, we were always happy with the service.

Online Review
Deviate Labs, LLC worked on a data company's frontend platform on CSS and HTML. They also helped the client with their paid launch marketing. The team executed a multi-pronged weeks-long campaign.
Deviate Labs, LLC exceeded the client's expectations with a 5,000- person beta sign-up goal. They showed investors that the vendor was capable of building creative solutions. They communicated via Slack and managed the project in Figma and Basecamp.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Product Marketing Manager at Caden, a next-gen data company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Deviate Labs, LLC?
Caden retained Deviate Labs to help with Go-to-Market strategy and execution. The biggest near-term challenge to address was generating 5,000+ beta sign-ups pre-launch, just after coming out of stealth.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Our Founder and CEO, John, has experience working with marketing agencies as he has founded several companies in the past (one of which he sold to Salesforce). John ran point on the decision-making process and was keen to find an agency counterpart that could think strategically, and, more importantly, roll up their sleeves to get things done quickly. Deviate Labs prepared a video proposal that outlined specific go-to-market campaigns and tactics. The tailored proposal gave Caden the comfort and confidence to proceed with an engagement.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Given that Deviate Labs was retained several months in advance of Caden’s Beta launch, we did not yet have a product to share publicly. As such, Deviate Labs ran an ideation phase to develop ideas for achieving the 5,000+ beta sign-up goal. The Caden team resonated with a micro-app that would unveil the (kind of creepy) data that data brokers have on users. The next phase was for Deviate Labs to mock-up creative concepts for the user interface. While we initially gravitated towards a Magic 8 Ball interface, a change of events led us to a more “creepy” Chernobyl-esque 80’s terminal experience.
The subsequent phase was for Deviate Labs to work on the front-end html / CSS while the Caden teamed worked on the back-end API pulls. Once the app was QA’d, Deviate Labs worked with us on the launch marketing. The marketing ranged from a Product Hunt launch to paid advertising to influencer marketing and more. Deviate Labs was able to execute a multi-pronged campaign to deliver the results a few weeks after launch. With the pre-launch Beta sign-up goal achieved (and exceeded), Deviate Labs is collaborating with us on the consumer-facing Beta launch plan and the enterprise client acquisition strategy.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with a Lead Partner and a Project Manager on a twice-weekly standing call basis. Occasionally, other individuals from the Deviate Labs team would join, for example, one of their developers helped address some items with our developers. Additionally, there are some other individuals that work behind-the-scenes on design, copywriting, programmatic ad management, influencer marketing, etc.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Caden exceeded the 5,000 person beta sign-up goal within 3 months of engaging (we ended up doubling it). What we appreciated about Deviate Labs was their ability to bring creative ideas to the table and work with us to pivot and iterate as needed.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We do a weekly standing call with a large group, and a weekly call with a smaller group. Additionally, we communicate synchronously through Slack and asynchronously through a variety of other tools ranging from Google Apps to Figma to Basecamp.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Deviate Labs delivered us the result we were looking for. They also delivered us a growth story that we can convey to investors that demonstrates we are capable of building creative solutions to complex go-to-market challenges.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
It took us a bit to determine how to best work together on the development side in terms of where the front-end Deviate Labs work ends and where our back-end work should begin. However, we were able to sort things out and launch a successful pre-launch marketing stunt.
