In weekly video calls the progress and feedback and questions were talked about. Seeing the product grow and delivering the set Milestones following the planning agreed on at the start:

They work very fast and were on time with the milestones. Communication is very direct, Skype, Whatsapp, Zoom meets, emails with progress. Entering the final phase some output for sales was needed. They are very understanding that they built for business. So they quickly deliverd the product so I could use a version at a conference and also delivering screenshots etc.

With two step authentification some steps are importent to synch like website transfering. Timelines are not that ideal, but when something came up the senior developer even called in for a few minutes in a Zoom meeting while parked at the side of the road. Designoweb Technologies goes above and beyond to meet your needs. Thank you again!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I have been warned that some companies provide EXACTLY what you ask. And since I am a businessman and not an IT professional, at least I dont write code, the FD was what I thought I needed. But building something gives you situations that you have not thought through yet.

Designoweb overcame that hill very good. In the first few weeks it took some extra communication, but you know when you have a great IT company when the suprise you with changes and optimalisations that you have not even thought about.My projecetmanager Kalash really understands our businesscase and that really helps getting the best product. We are even sparring about next versions and upgrades to broaden our businesscase revenue stream. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Designoweb Technologies could have done differently?

If I could give a tip I would like to see better planning and information about upcoming work for me as a customer. Because I am not an IT person, sometimes I have to really think about choices I have to make in te proces for the built, but that also effects my business strategy. If it would be possible to chart that somehow so the customer has more time to prepare, that could be helpful.

We asked Designoweb to convert the old HTC Vive files into an Android Package Kit (APK) for the Oculus Quest 2. The latest version of Unity would be used, with minor tweaks made to improve the user experience. After configuration, the application could be offered directly in the Meta Store and would meet all requirements of Meta.

The project is now running on the Oculus Quest The project is not completely finished yet because it is not working flawlessly at the moment on the Oculus Quest2

Designoweb had accepted the assignment to convert an application to the Oculus Quest2. They had agreed on a fixed amount for the assignment. In retrospect, it turned out that the amount of work was much greater than they had estimated. They misjudged the complexity of the code and the various technical challenges they encountered. 

Designoweb has not yet fully completed the assignment. I think they put in more time than expected, but they had to put in a lot more work than they expected. This is a learning point for Designoweb. In the future, they will have to study the code better before accepting an assignment. This allows them to better estimate how much work is needed to complete an assignment. 

Here are some tips for Designoweb: Study the code carefully before accepting an assignment. This will help you to better understand the complexity of the job and the different technical challenges you may encounter. Be realistic in your expectations. It is not always possible to complete an assignment within budget and schedule. Be prepared to compromise or adjust the scope of the assignment. Regards, Michael
