This was the start of a long relationship design relationship with multiple projects developed for Defender Safety. DMC were tasked to research, design and produce a Type 2 Safety Helmet that passed ANSI standards. Tasks performed: 1. Research ANSI testing and design accordingly. 2. Digital and hand sketching of styles that fit with Defender Safety brand. 3. Prototyping fitment, style and safety 4. Design for manufacture and work with production engineers 5. Renders and animations for marketing. The H2 Safety Helmet has been in the market for year (as of this writing) and sold a few containers worth of product so far. Customers are happy with the usability and the safety standards were exceeded in testing. ### Aluminium Canopy Designs Prodominenlty a 3D modeling and draftsmen role. Dylan worked with FFF to design and produce 11 individual and customized canopies. 1. Sheetmetal design and engineering was at the top of our list 2. Understanding assembly was critical 3. Designing for good usability was critical 4. Robust design was required in all parts to withstand rugged 4x4ing FFF eventually took their design work in house as it made more sense. ### F1 Car Inspired Watch Stand The goal was a simple one: "Design an F1-inspired watch stand" Easy from the outside, but a good design-for-manufacture challenge. By simplifying some of the geometry, and using straightforward aesthetics we were able to design a product that looks great and can be manufactured efficiently. 1. The product is designed for injection moulding  2. The costs of the car yield a good profit for the business 3. Some of the parts are easily customizable for future brand collaborations 4. We went through more than 6 prototypes refining the parts and getting manufacturing and assembly perfect. The F1 Maverick Watch stand has gone through it's first mass production run and is currently on sale!    ### Design of Solar Inverter Products With more than 20 products produced together. Dylan and MLT inverters had a long relationship. Spanning over 6 years until MLT Inverters got acquired by Rubicon. We helped develop a range of products: 1. Solar inverters (4, 6 and 10 kVa) 2. MPPT (Battery management) 3. IoT Device for Solar management 4. Networking enclosure 5. Lithium battery (10kVa) 6. Solar panel mouning solution for rural developments. With an intertwined integration between design and engineering. We successfully manufactured and produced many of the products you see on the shelves today from MLT inverters (APEX as they are called today).   ### Hearing Protection Range Research, design, and prototype a range of hearing protection. Research - look into the market, analyse what's around, decide on the best certifications to design for Design - Starting in sketches, moving into multiple CAD models, then prototyping and preparing for production   ### Conceptual design of a Neck Massager Building on the cleints success with theire first neck massager. We helped design a few new concepts for v2 of their Neck Massager. Project did not make it past conceptual stage ### Design a IoT Sensor enclosure Using a blend of design and design for manufacture practices. We created a solution that balanced aestehtics and DFM well. 1. The product was unique and functioned for the user 2. All electronics fitted with minimal assembly required 3.
