I’m the founder and director of GuitarBro, an art, music, and dance school.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Desi Marketing Program?

We needed someone to handle our Amazon account, run ad campaigns, and improve our product listings.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Desi Marketing Program handled all of our Amazon advertising. They took care of all of the listings on Amazon based on the complete product demo we gave them and the conversation they had with some of our customers. Consequently, we created a strategy to best portray our pain points in the solution and the Amazon A+ listings. They were also responsible for getting our A+ listing activated.

We were working in the same coworking space.

We spent $12,000 with them.

We worked together from January–December 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we started, our ROI was 50%, which was high; after working with them, it came down to almost 35%. Overall, this was a great investment; they had great work ethics and hustle and were up for anything outside the project's scope. Additionally, they gave useful suggestions like increasing my SKUs to have a larger number of listings on Amazon.

How did The Desi Marketing Program perform from a project management standpoint?

They were proactive, delivered on time, and communicated through scheduled meetings. Moreover, I didn't have to follow up, which was the best part. In terms of tools and communication, we used WhatsApp, in-person meetings, email, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were efficient, had good work ethics, and had good discipline.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn't think there was anything they could improve on; we had a good experience with them, and they were experts on Amazon.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you have a B2C product, I recommend going for it and working with them.

I'm the founder of TopBeat, a global online music school. We teach kids worldwide musical instruments like guitar and keyboard through a one-on-one live learning model.

We engaged them for Amazon marketing services. We have been selling one of our products on Amazon and were looking for someone to manage the entire Amazon marketing campaign.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Desi Marketing Program was responsible for product listing, optimizing it by including the proper words, keyword research on title and description, and ensuring that we had good quality photographs on the listing.

They were also responsible for running ads and removing negative keywords from the Amazon ad campaigns.

I worked with three people from their team; a lead marketer, a designer, and an account manager.

I met them at an offline event in a co-working space.

We spent around $20,000 with them.

We worked together from January 2020–March 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The main metric was to increase sales and optimize the rate of return on advertisement spending. When I started with them, my ad spending was 80% of its return, and they could bring it to almost 35% in six months. Also, my sales increased from $5,000 to $25,000 a month.

How did The Desi Marketing Program perform from a project management standpoint?

They were good with project management; they met deadlines and could stick to budgets. Additionally, they were responsive and communicated with us through phone calls and WhatsApp.

For project management, we used Google Workspace.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The Desi Marketing Program was good with the Amazon environment; they understand how its SEO works and specialize specifically in brands that are direct to consumers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They had a structure where they could speed up the experimentation of campaigns and improve on speed testing.

Any advice for potential customers?

If you're working with Amazon, have patience because it might be at least six months before you start to see the results.
