I’m a co-founder and CEO of the firm. We’re a blockchain-based health and wellness institution for corporate employees.

What challenge were you trying to address with Denovers?

We just had a concept when we started working with them. The team helped us create a complete roadmap for how this proposition could be developed.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Denovers worked with us on wireframing, mindmaps, and customer journeys. The team helped us understand what the key criteria for us would be. They took our concept and put it into a format that could be developed.

They worked with our team on developing a prototype of the application, from scoping to choosing our technology infrastructure.

What is the team composition?

We initially worked with their CEO, and he assigned 4–5 people to the project.

How did you come to work with Denovers?

They had a good level of understanding of what we wanted to do and how we wanted to do it. Denovers also had a good price compared to other companies that we looked at, and they were in the same time zone as us.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost was below $5,000. We worked with them on a fixed-price basis.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Denovers around November 2018, and the project was completed in February or March 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Denovers performed well. We evaluated them based on the outcome of the wireframes and mindmap, and based on their adherence to the timeframe.

How did Denovers perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, they performed well. We used Jira and Skype to coordinate. We were in the same time zone, which made it much easier to work with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their founder is young. He understands modern technologies very well. They were always available. Their talented team of designers puts themselves in the place of the customer.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any suggestions. We were very pleased with Denovers, and we’ll work with them again if we have a similar project.

Clarity is key, so anyone working with them should lay everything out and ensure that they set clear timelines.

Please describe your company and your position there.

Hoorayy! is a job matching platform for the young adults in Vietnam with the objective of delivering a mobile-first job search experience for the candidates and get them connected to the hiring managers within a few minutes.

For the business, we provide a more efficient and faster way to hire the entry-level and general-skilled positions. I am the Co-founder and CEO of Hoorayy! with the key responsibilities of managing the product development, customer experience and business launch/set up in Vietnam - our first market in South East Asia.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Denovers?

As an early-stage start-up, we could not afford to build a big in-house team to develop the product until we can raise our first pre-seed round. In order to raise funds and bring in the early customers, we need to develop a Minimum Viable Product in a cost-efficient and fast manner.

Thats why we came to work with Denovers - a firm which has experience of working with start-ups on similar projects before. The service that we used from Denovers is the UX/UI development of Hoorayy! application for job seekers and Hoorayy! web portal for our corporate clients.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal is to build the best job search app in Vietnam which provide the candidates with a Tinder-style UI/UX to display the job recommendation and allows job seekers to swipe to apply for the jobs.

The app must be simple-to-use and intuitive so that young people can easily create their profile, capture a 30-second video to introduce themselves, manage their applications and conversations with the hiring managers.

For the employer portal, we want to build a very clean and well-structured platform for our users. Most of the job portal for the employers in Vietnam are packed with lots of information and we wanted our portal to stand out as a clean and easy-to-navigate portal while the key functionalities are included.

SOLUTION

How did you select Denovers?

We reviewed the list of proposals from different agencies in Vietnam and in other countries.

After having the call with Muzammil and listening to his proposal/consultation, we decided to go with Denovers due to the high-energy level, in-depth understanding and passion for UX/UI of Muzammil and the commitment to deliver the high standard product in our acceptable time frame.

Our engagement with Denovers include:

• Development of the UI of our Hoorayy! application and web portal in the format which the developers can pick up for the development process.
• Management of the repository of the UI design for the future changes or improvements
• Consultation of UX flow with Hoorayy team for the existing and new modules
• Working on Hoorayy! corporate websites and the landing pages

What was the team composition?

We work directly with Muzammil as the single contact point while he managed his own resources to deliver the project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Thanks to the nice UX/UI developed for Hoorayy! products, our MVP is widely accepted by our clients and we have managed to raised our pre-seed round of 165k USD. User's feedback towards Hoorrayy! platform is very positive and they like the clean and nicely structured layout of the product.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication is very smooth. Muzammil suggested us to use some tools such as Sympli and Zepplin which make the whole work flow a lot simpler and efficient.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Denovers has a strong leader - Muzammil who has good understanding and passion towards UX/UI work.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Denovers work can be improved if they can expand their business offer to app/web development which is not really their primary business focus and core expertise right now. This will help compliment the current UX/UI work which they are offering.

We engaged Denovers to design the Mobile App for one of our client. It was a complex data presentation App that was being used by the Leadership team of a giant retail outlet. We provided data in the excel format to the design team and the task was to represent this beautifully in the App.

Denovers team designed the Mobile App in proper timelines. The App was beautifully designed and especially the complex data presentation was on point. We were able to develop the App in time and our client loved it.

Their project management was on point. They assigned two product designers who were working on this project to meet the timeline along with it, we were in touch with the CEO personally. They were always available on Slack or Whatsapp.
