The current software (Logiwa) works fine, however, it would be nice to have some additional features that we have access to via our other 3PL software systems we use. I believe DelGate is currently looking into this and considering adding new features or a new software package.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In the past, we had a delivery failure rate of 45%. So, we started looking for a competent team that is experienced in storing large items and spare parts while following the correct packing protocol. The team should be able to adapt quickly with a short learning curve. We are pleased to offer this service to our clients.

We used to have issues with the visibility bracket, and we tried working with different companies before, but they failed to provide satisfactory service and damage control. However, the company we are currently working with has an app for rating drivers, which allows us to monitor the progress of our deliveries. Initially, we used to review each delivery, but now we don't have to, as we know that the overall performance is consistently good. Moreover, they proactively inform us if anything goes wrong during the delivery process.

I'm the VP and one of the founders of Agrivex, a software company that focuses on trading for the food supply chain. We have an office in Vancouver, Canada, and another one in Toronto, Canada. However, we also have a remote office in Dubai as well.

We needed product distribution services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

DelGate Logistics takes care of our last-mile distribution and fulfillment in our Vancouver and Toronto locations. Now, we're also partnering with them to help us in Montreal. DelGate Logistics has all the licenses we need for food distribution, so they pretty much take care of everything for us. They pick up any products that leave our port, store them in their warehouse, and distribute them for us.

What is the team composition?

I've worked with Michael (Business Developer), Amir (COO), Daniel (Senior Business Development Manager), and Reza (Manager of Warehouse Delivery Solution Systems), with whom I met on multiple site visits.

How did you come to work with DelGate Logistics?

Daniel contacted me through LinkedIn about three years ago. Since this happened after the COVID-19 pandemic, our supply chain hadn't been set up properly, and they offered a really good price, so we hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent between $50,000–$100,000 CAD (approximately $36,000–$72,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in February 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

DelGate Logistics has been a cost-effective, punctual, and very reliable partner throughout our engagement.

How did DelGate Logistics perform from a project management standpoint?

DelGate Logistics offers almost excellent communication. Their team has an amazing supply chain visibility software system called It's Here, which I use every day to keep track of my inventory. This tool provides real-time data, and when they receive our shipments, the info gets locked and can't be changed, so I'm assured that my inventory is there. Additionally, we use Google Meet and WhatsApp to communicate.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I would like to give Daniel a shout-out. He has been an amazing person.

What did you find most impressive about them?

DelGate Logistics is cost-effective. Initially, they were the cheapest option I could find in the market. Occasionally, I check the market to see if their cost matches our demand, and they still are the most affordable option. On top of that, their service and punctuality are great.

Additionally, the fact that DelGate Logistics has warehouses all over Canada is outstanding. If I want to take my operations to Colwood or Yukon, I can give them a call, and I'm sure they have offices there.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything DelGate could improve on.

If you want to set up a proper supply chain in a modern way, go with them.

The deliveries have improved, and they now arrive on time. Previously, we only had specific routes twice a week, but with DelGate, we now have daily routes. This has made our clients happier as they no longer have to wait 2, 3, or 10 days to receive their appliances.
