I’m the VP of marketing and clinical affairs at a manufacturer of respiratory therapy devices used in hospitals and homes. I’m responsible for the marketing activities associated with product development, launch, and promotion.

What challenge were you trying to address with Defocus Studio?

We hired them to create video content to help with promotion and education around our products.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Defocus Studio animated a video and inserted prerecorded live-action footage from us into the video — they managed the entire process. They created a storyboard based on our basic outline; this made collaboration before the final rendering easy. They also handled the script and shot list, edited the video, and mixed the audio. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing project started in July 2020.

How did you come to work with Defocus Studio?

One of my coworkers recommended them. They had worked with Defocus Studios at a previous company. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve received positive feedback that the video is engaging and easy to follow — the transitions between animation and live-action footage are very smooth. The video has been published on our website, social media, and YouTube. We use it often at trade shows, and our distributors also use it. 

I would reengage them if we ever have a need for their services again.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

They are responsive and able to meet deadlines. We typically communicate through email and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism and quality of work stand out. Defocus Studio is talented at creating video content that is easy to understand.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for them to improve.

If you outline what you want, that helps the creative process go a lot smoother, especially when working with any video production company.

We have been associated for long time. We work based on our exact timeline and overall content preparation.

We mainly integrate on video clippings and promotional banners related pictures, posters and short videos in different projects related to our organizational structures.

We have witnessed better outcomes after releasing our targeted campaigns to our end users. We are enlightened towards their overall content preparation!

We make sure that our deadlines were met on speculated time intervals. We have very transparent line of communication on working towards our deliverables.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have dedicated set of people for performing various set of differential functions. We found their work methodologies organized and aligned with our objectives.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There was no specific points to be mentioned during tenure. So, I don't have anything to mention in specific or need for improvement from them.
