The Project was to develop a reporting solution for one of our data partners encompassing various stages of data lifecycle. TransSIGHT’s Analytics framework has made it easier for our data partner to access all of their data in a single place. All thanks to the intuitive dashboards which has made performance tracking simple for our users eliminating tedious day to day spreadsheet effort.

 

Automated process has helped the stakeholders to have access to the fresh data on a daily cadence which is huge boost for effective decision making. With the successful implementation of this project TransSIGHT has been seeing increased interest in the circle for similar implementation and we are hopeful to bag more user engagements in the times to come.

We interacted with the team via slack/zoom calls. Daily Stand ups were conducted in the beginning of the project which was later shifted to weekly cadence post deployment.

When I started the company almost a year and a half ago, I needed a partner to make my vision a reality.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our product has two major components: a mobile app for Android and iOS and a web-based dashboard. DataToBiz was responsible for all the development work involved in the creation of our product, and my team in Australia designed the UI/UX.

DataToBiz had the complete wireframes and UI/UX designs before they started, as well as a full understanding of what the deliverables were going to be. However, we ran a lot of experimentation in the early days to ensure that the AI would fit our purpose.

The app hosts all the AI functionalities, and the dashboard has videos and other content from our courses. The app helps users with things like pronunciation clarity, energy level sentiments, vocabulary, and many other areas of communication skills development. It works on a subscription model, and users have two weeks to try out the features for free before subscribing.

What is the team composition?

We initially had nine full-time engineers from DataToBiz working on the project, but we’ve whittled the team down to six.

How did you come to work with DataToBiz?

I did a bunch of research online and got recommendations from friends and business owners in the AI industry. I then vetted three companies, two in Australia and one in India.

I connected with DataToBiz’s founders through a common friend. I did some research on them and contacted their clients, and I discovered that they had the skills that I needed.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent close to $500,000 AUD (approximately $377,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with DataToBiz in June 2020, and they’re still working on our project full time. We launched two weeks ago, and the app is currently in a limited pilot in Australia and India. We plan to launch it in Europe and South America as well.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

A few education institutions are piloting the app, and we have customers who are paying already. We’re sending feedback surveys to the 1,000 students using the app, but I don’t have any concrete metrics nor feedback yet.

DataToBiz has delivered what they agreed to, and the relationship is still in place. We’re working through the next stage of the product, and it all has been good so far. Obviously, we’ve had bugs and small issues since launching the MVP, but DataToBiz has fixed most of them. The issues that remain are nothing outside of the ordinary.

How did DataToBiz perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve managed the project tightly from my side, and I can tell that DataToBiz has delivered on time. We’re using Slack for instant messaging and Jira for agile development. We have two status and review meetings on Mondays and Thursdays. We also schedule additional meetings when required.

What did you find most impressive about them?

DataToBiz’s commitment is impressive. They‘re really passionate people, and they know what they’re doing. Their commitment separates them from the rest of the competitors in their field.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I could suggest for them to improve. Within the scope of what we’re trying to do, DataToBiz has been pretty good.

We built many dashboards for them for their procurement and accounts departments.Result - With the help of our Custom Business Intelligence platform built, the client was not able to manage their data properly but also was able to analyze their data as well and get very good insights, helping them to save a lot of costs as well along with reduction of manual efforts involved.

Client - TransSIGHT is a US based organization providing technology-powered transportation solutions.Problem Statement - One of their very big enterprise clients operational from the past 30 years in states need to improve their business operational decision making and. But their data was scattered across 30 data sources and the scale of the data was in TBs for every source. The client wanted to create a solution that can help them to take the data driven solutions by factoring in the data across multiple sources and overall improve the efficiency of the decision making and reducing the overall operational cost.Solution - We understood the complexities of different data sources involved and designed a very scalable and effective Data lake capable of storing and processing all the data coming from different data sources. This data lake was finally connected with Tableau as a Business Intelligence tool to create the required dashboards to analyze the data across departments in real time.Result - With the help of the solution we created for them, the client was able to reduce the time of monthly data analysis and subsequent decision making from 15 days to 15 mins. One of their partners is a big security manpower provider out of India, having its personnel deployed in more than 10,000 locations in India.Problem Statement - Earlier this security company used to manually audit the dress of their security guards through the live on-duty images shared by security guards to a central server through an app. But manually monitoring the 20k images per day (twice per security guard per day), was a huge cumbersome task for their human resources.Solution - So we automated this compliance checking process by implementing our image processing application integrated with their existing process. We trained our image processing algorithm to detect various components of their dress as per the business rules and raise flags in case of culprits.Result - Ultimately our work helped the client with automating the manual day-to-day efforts up to 80% and helped the client to maintain a better brand image by raising the flag on faulty security personnel with the click of a button.
