I am the project manager/webmaster for a company based in South America and Europe that owns luxury resorts and wineries.

For what projects/services did your company hire Data Pro Software, and what were your goals?

Data Pro developed an application that allows us to configure and support multiple multilingual travel websites. Application integrated with the reservation system. This application is also used to add/edit/remove multilingual content, supports the mobile view, and runs promotional marketing campaigns.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I interviewed many developers and for the scope of the work we were doing at the time Data Pro was the most responsive and knowledgeable.

Over the years we worked together the work changed constantly - due to new technology and changing demands from the company etc...but I would provide Data Pro with project specs and requirements and i was never disappointed in the work produced.

I’m the president of an organization called eFood Junction. The platform allows restaurants to purchase products for their businesses at affordable prices.

They developed and designed the platform. They provided a lot of in-depth analysis to help us make the platform successful. Their team provided maintenance services as well.

I worked with Boris (Founder & CEO) primarily, but I also worked with the lead developer. 

How did you come to work with Data Pro Software?

I bought the domain name through GoDaddy and had some basic web development done. Boris was working as a contractor, and when things started to go south with my original vendor, I talked to Boris and started working with Data Pro Software. 

How much have you invested in them?

I spent close to $100,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July 2012–July 2014.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website worked well, and they delivered it on time and within budget. I got a lot more out of the project than I originally bargained for. Boris made a lot of great suggestions that enhanced the website and furthered its success. I’m happy with everything they did. 

How did Data Pro Software perform from a project management standpoint?

I don’t know what project management tools they used, but everything ran smoothly. I never had to push or nag them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their deep thinkers. It’s not easy to get into a business you’re not familiar with and go into such depth. However, they took a lot of pride in their work and put in the effort to make positive contributions. Their professionalism and the quality of their work was also impressive.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always room for improvement. However, in my case, I can’t make any suggestions. I had everything I needed and more. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

Trust them. Even though you might be an expert in your own company, don’t be afraid to take their advice.

Ozmosys is in the aggregation space news and business aggregation for large entities, corporate entities, large law firms, where we pull in data from disparate sources. Then, we pull it in and distribute it through enterprises. I’m the president of the company and we’ve been in business for over 20 years.

What challenge were you trying to address with Data Pro Software Solutions?

My CTO decided to retire, and at that point, I thought I would be outsourcing all our technical programming, server, managed services, all to a company that was good at providing all the aforementioned services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

One of the issues that I had because of what I do is I’m not allowed to pay offshore services, only onshore services. Data Pro Software Solutions is a US entity that provides services at a comparable rate. If I decided to go to Argentina or other places in India, their services range from project management, mobile development, application development, data-based services, and server administration. 

However, their primary purpose is to bring the company’s legacy systems up-to-date. When legacy systems go down, we will be out of business. That’s why it’s been really important

I’ve pushed their team into AI and machine learning (ML) because we need that. Meanwhile, for the mobile development, they do mockup applications first that can be converted into mobile, into iOS and Android. Basically, they have two teams who tackle different products — they segment it so they can handle the load.

We have a project manager and we also work with Boris (Founder). I also have a support assistant and we’ve also had access to some of their UI developers. 

How did you come to work with Data Pro Software Solutions?

Since I’m in the news and business arena, I wanted to find someone that had roots in my industry. They’re former Reuters people, but they were in the financial services area. I converted them into the actual content and data aggregation and big data development. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably spent over $300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our collaboration began in December 2017, and we’ve been working with them ever since.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Not only have they brought my legacy system up to speed, but we’ve also developed other applications with their team for other products and services. They’ve helped us when it comes to preserving our capital and legacy systems. They’ve hit those goals and get things done on time. Moreover, we haven’t experienced a lot of bumps when removing systems and moving to the next systems — it has been smooth sailing. Our relationship has really grown. They’ve quickly responded to our AI and ML needs. 

How did Data Pro Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

For the project management part, they have a CRM with their goals and it’s updated in real-time. Their metrics there involves saving the business, keeping the business alive, and the other one is project management. In relation to that, our team appreciates that we have access to their progress. In addition, 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve had relationships with outsourcing projects and things over the years, the best part of our engagement is that project management is included in it. I like that they serve as a conduit to their team that’s offshore. Above all, I find it helpful that somebody works in my timezone — it has been such a  big benefit. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

My biggest concern is when they’re overloaded. In emergencies, they’re always there, but sometimes they have a lot of projects across all their clients  — their response becomes slower. However, it does not mean they don’t get things done on time. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go through each use case. Have them outline what they call journals or stories based upon the use case. Push them to do the use cases, so that you can see that you’re agreeing with how they’re proceeding and that will help you avoid mistakes. They do storyboards, they just don’t hit the ground running.

We were looking for a software development partner for a SaaS project we were working on. We were looking for software developer resources for the project.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We are the lead on the architecture and the design of the app. We utilize them for software development and project management. It’s a web-based app.

What is the team composition?

I believe there are about five or six people, acting as resources for the project. Most of them are developers.

I believe there was a referral to them from one of our executives. We reached out to them, asked for their company profile, and found that they’re a cost-effective software development partner who met our needs.

We worked together from March 2018 to November 2019.

Based on the feedback that I’ve been getting from our team, we're quite happy. They’re talented people with a professional skill set. They’re quite proficient and they deliver on time.

I love their responsiveness. When we give them tasks, they finish them with excellent proficiency. They’re self-starters.

I’m the director of product technology at Jove, a video platform-based research and educational content company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Data Pro Software Solutions?

We had some outsourcing requirements and we didn’t have the capacity to handle this in-house.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Data Pro Software Solutions did everything on our behalf, all we did was describe to them what we needed the results to be. They worked on an internal analytics app that is for upper management, and this tool was responsible for displaying institutional statistics, such as drops in usage. Basically, it is a full analytics suite for the website and it would notify us if an institution’s usage was dropping. They built the wireframes, did all of the project management, development, and deployment.

What is the team composition?

We worked with about five people including Boris (Founder), a project manager, a frontend developer, a backend developer, and a mobile app developer.

How did you come to work with Data Pro Software?

I wasn’t at the company when this happened, but my understanding is they were a connection. The cost was reasonable, the quality of work was good, and they were located in Boston so we could meet their CEO on site.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July 2019–July 2020 and then they did a small update in November 2020 as well.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The feedback from internal upper management was invaluable regarding the analytics project. Internal upper management said it was exactly what they were looking for and they began using it right away and are still using it to this day, so it’s an extremely useful tool. The tool is flexible enough that we don’t need to keep expanding it. It’s really an all-in-one finished product. In addition to that, it’s aesthetically pleasing, easy to use, bug-free, and responsive, so the performance is nice.

How did Data Pro Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

I was very impressed personally with their project management. They utilized our tools, so we were fully aware of the entire process and they provided updates on a constant basis. They never missed deadlines and everything they showed us was on the dot in the scope of what we were trying to accomplish on a weekly basis. The CEO visited us biweekly to give update presentations. Their organizational skills were also very impressive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The project management and the communication were the most impressive and I can’t highlight them enough. They adapted to our time zone and communicated effectively. They had an uncanny way of understanding what we needed without us actually providing any documentation or designs. Data Pro Software Solutions was by far the most impressive vendor I’ve worked with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We ran into a little problem with mobile development and building a native functionality, but that was really it.

Providing more specific requirements and explaining things right away might make it a lot easier.
