Valyuu is the online marketplace for pre-loved consumer electronics. Via our platform you can sell & buy all kinds of tech / hardware. From iPhones to Macbooks and Tablets, in 3 simple steps you sell or buy them. Less hassle than selling it yourself, more value than letting them catch dust in the drawer. When sold we test the items thoroughly before posting them on our platform with real product photos and descriptions.

Within no time we find a new buyer who can buy that item for a better price than new or refurbished. As Head of Growth, I am responsible for the growth of the company, I am working on developing and executing the growth strategy (AAARRR). In addition I focus on bringing the product to the next level. The ultimate goal is that more people switch to pre-owned electronics instead of buying a new electronic device and let other people re-use their (un)used electronics.

Dapper is executing the following marketing activities for us: setting up mailing campaigns based on hitlist (contacts). Doing data analysis on customer behaviour. They mostly use Mailchimp in combination with LinkedIn. We also tried Leadfeeder for an experiment, and even though we like the experimental way of working, it, unfortunately, was not a big success.

The most valuable outcome for us is the data analysis. It provided us with really valuable insights into the engagement of our visitors. This really helps us to get to a further stage in the marketing funnel.

Dapper organises bi-weekly meetings in which they update us about their activities. These meetings and their communication in general work really good. Everything is clear and straightforward, and this is highly appreciated.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The way of analysis. I shared it with a lot of other people within the company. We didn't have this knowledge ourselves before. But now we have it, it has enabled us to make the next step in our marketing.

Dapper works with Monday to keep track of their project tasks. They shared the project task overview with us from the start. This makes us able to check where the project stands at every moment of the day. However, the tool can be quite overwhelming sometimes, so one central point of information would be a valuable addition.

In addition to this, we started creating content together, ranging from carousels and blogs to simple posts. However, the main goal was to produce and maintain a strong presence with video content.

Dapper conducted research on how to best appoach the GTM. Afterward, they brainstormed to come up with experiments that would get in the first clients. Then, they selected the highest potential experiments, which were campaigns for Google and Meta.

They started running these experiments and took care of every aspect. from strategy to design to setting up and optimizing the campaigns. They also helped to set up a process for the follow-up of leads that came from the campaigns.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The most noteworthy are the Meta campaigns. Dapper tested many different messaging, propositions, visuals, videos, and audiences. Eventually, we scaled a funnel that offered new customers a discount on their first spray tan. These campaigns got us about 70% of our total clientele!

They're punctual and fast. They use Monday for project management and track all the hours they make.

How they handled getting in results. It took some time to get started but once the successful campaigns were identified, it went very fast, and Dapper was able to respond quickly and scale up very efficiently.

I was very happy with the Dapper team. I would say they needed some time to get to the creatives that were in line with our style guide.
