I created a company called House of Zen. It was co-created by my recently departed dog. After years in the alternative health care field — more quantum energy work — the company has taken flight. Essentially, it’s energy work in the quantum physics field that works with animals, mostly dogs, and their owners using various alternative methods including communication, quantum fieldwork, light work, or spectral chormetry. Really, the services are tailored to each client’s higher needs. I call myself a co-creator and a healing artist.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cyentist?

They developed our logo and are now creating our website and technology infrastructure.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our first call was nearly two hours of me explaining who I am and how I operate. After that, we had another call where they read back to me what they gathered from the first call about what I do and how I wanted to present my business. I was in tears after the second call because they were the first business that really understood me and dove into the science of my work.

I chose one logo to play around with from the first round, but then my dog passed away during the second round. This shifted my entire world, and I needed to take some time for myself. Cyentist wasn't pushy when this happened. They gave me time — a month and a half — before I connected with them again. Sean told me what was coming through for him, in terms of animals that had recently passed, and he put something so personal to me into the logo and the name.

Again, I was in tears when he showed it to me. I’m probably the hardest client anyone will ever have because I need to feel things. If I can’t feel it, then it’s going to be a “no.” Cyentist is working on the website now.

I met Cyentist through a family recommendation. Starting from scratch, we had an introductory call where they explained their packages. I’m not one to balk at prices, but I was and am adverse to technology, and it wasn’t until Sean (Founder) framed their work as an investment in myself that I realized how much their work could help me connect with people. I let them know that I both don’t care what the outcome would look like, and that I’m extremely picky, but they were confident they could help me.

I got off the call completely in tears because Sean found a way to see me even though we're in completely opposite fields of work. He didn’t give me a typical sales pitch, which I appreciated. I care about the connection with the person because that’s what I do in my job. I connect with people and help them open up and transform. Finding someone in the technology world who was able to do that was amazing.

I'd worked with various people over six years to try and get my logo right, but it hadn't worked out. I couldn't describe exactly what I wanted — I just knew what it needed to feel like; it could look like anything. Sean said he’d be able to do it, though.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The technology portion of the project hasn’t launched yet, but my interactions with Sean and Cyentist have changed everything. Their ability to create a logo shifted my business completely. Now, I'm focusing more on the dog part of the human-dog connection.

I fully anticipate the website will drive more business my way when it’s launched because of the recommendation I received. The woman who gave it has seen clients come in based on the logo Cyentist designed for her and the social media posts they did.

How did Cyentist perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re excellent. Sean has a system he uses that connects me, my assistant, and him. It holds all of our calls and our schedule — it’s tailored to every one of his clients.

There haven’t been any delays. Cyentist waits until I’m ready, and then we move quickly together. They’re clear about what they’re going to provide, as well as what I need to provide them with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sean has an acute, divine skill to listen that’s unmatched by any professional in this arena. He listens and interprets, and then adds a creative twist, but I still feel like it’s my company and logo. He’s completely matched me, rather than shifted me around.

They are completely genuine and patient. Most companies want to complete the job as soon as possible rather than move at the client’s pace, but Cyentist made sure I felt cared for, protected, and nurtured.

Our relationship with Cyentist is ever-expanding, and it’s been very easy. It feels like divine intervention. I have a wonderful connection with them.They’re not your typical designers. There’s the human side, and then there is the divine creator behind the company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

My only suggestion to Cyentist is to find doubles of Sean and expand the business so more people can benefit. I don’t have any criticism or anything else to work on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen to Sean and let him in. Don’t be afraid to speak up, but also listen. Intuitive, creative design comes through him because he listens to you. Listening will let you co-create and collaborate.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cyentist?

I hired Cyentist to update my existing website to ensure it wasn’t a cookie-cutter site that was substantially different than other people in my specialty. 

When people are seeking out an attorney like me, they’re usually confused and overwhelmed because I specialize in estate and legal planning. I wanted to make sure the legal tools I offer are accessible to all people and to spread the word with an inclusive and welcoming website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team uses a logical and organized process. At the initial meeting, I explained what I do and my unique systems, and also the type of clients I wanted to serve. Once they obtained an initial assessment of my story and potential clients, they sent me further questions to ensure we were on the same page with our goals.

After that, we went over their proposed messaging, visuals, and color scheme for the site. Once that was approved, everything was implemented and launched very quickly.

Sean and I worked in the same office suite. One day, pre-COVID, I was talking to him over coffee about my services, and he mentioned that he could help out with that. I thought it would be too overwhelming. But it ended up working out great.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new website looks completely different, reflecting my personality and the unique way I practice estate planning. It was a holistic change that truly captures my message. The way everything appeared on the pages is great. The messaging and visuals grab you. All of the color schemes and palettes were consistent and appealing. The keywords resonated with me and my clients.

We’ve received a lot of positive feedback about how easy it is to use. They’ve also commented about how welcoming the site is. If users have any questions, the site is easy to navigate. People love the way it looks. Clients often call after spending time on my website.

How did Cyentist perform from a project management standpoint?

It was beyond all of my expectations. I was kept in the loop the entire time. I never had to ask what was going on with the project. His responsiveness was very good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sean truly listened, translating everything I wanted to a website. He didn’t substitute with what he thought was best. He melded his suggestions with my messaging. Ultimately, he took what I had and made it better.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any negatives. I was pleasantly surprised with how everything worked out. Sean is a great person that does an amazing job with his marketing analysis, messaging, and website design.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I brainstormed with Sean (Founder) about what I wanted in a website, and he has a methodology that he uses called The Cyentist Method, where he interviews the person wanting to create a website about their business. The interview is extensive and it lasted a couple of hours. It really helped broaden my perspective about what could be done on the website.

The website is multifaceted and the main thing is to basically present to potential clients who I am. The second is to help me create an intake form and describe some of the services that I could provide for a flat fee. The third is to describe my practice and make a website that was not only attractive but clear and approachable. Squarespace hosts the website.

I contacted a law firm whose website I thought was particularly good and they referred me to Sean.

We started sometime in mid-2017 and the site launched in early 2018. We’re currently still working together.

I looked at the backend of the website and did see that there were a lot of views and it gave me geographical information also so that was encouraging to see that there were actually people looking at it.

How did Cyenist perform from a project management standpoint?

Sean is excellent, I mean even from a lawyer’s perspective, which most lawyers are very methodical and find others not to be. Sean is completely professional, patient, articulate, very thorough, methodical, and followed up with me even before I thought we needed to speak. He kept me on a regular schedule and we got it done. We communicate mostly through phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think it’s the combination of professionalism and thoroughness as well as the technical expertise and being so patient and personable to deal with. He just brings the whole package and really knows his area.

No, nothing that I can think of.

I’ve created an effective way to reduce the use of paper napkins. We're a grassroots company and I’ve been building my brand for years, but I had trouble with manufacturing. Once I secured that, I’ve been able to go to a higher level for bringing the product to market. However, my website was very antiquated and we hired Cyentist to update it.

Sean (Founder) was in charge of revamping my site. I wanted my platform to be updated and modern. He also did most of the backend development of my site. Since they did a great job, I continue to hire them to host my platform.

I really loved that he made his own checklist of what was required during the start of the partnership. As an owner, I didn’t have to think about it. He has also offered simple ways to set up and help my company, and he's been really amazing.

Even after the site was launched, he went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied. Thanks to his efforts, our platform works well. In addition, he shares recommendations about what we can do but also knows when to respect my decision in terms of the way I want my website to be. Overall, he really carries my vision and brings it to life. 

How did Cyentist perform from a project management standpoint?

They have an excellent project management process — we communicate through emails and meetings, and they’re very on top and spot on. At the start of the project, we communicated frequently, but right now, we only talk to them as needed. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The creativity that he brings to the table in this type of arena has impressed us. He’s very personable, reliable, and responsive. Even though I hired him as a web developer, he also shares his marketing knowledge with my company.

Everybody needs improvement, but I can’t fault Sean anywhere. He’s good on every level.

Prior to your meeting with him, have an outline of what you want, so you can get what you want to be executed. Be prepared for the meeting because he’ll hit the ground running.

I’m in the process of building a business called Camperdown Group. It’s a real estate business and we are also offering mobile notary services and other potential services that we’re expanding on.

Cyentist is helping us to create a logo, website, and marketing for our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They did an interview process and during that, they asked several different questions. We told them the story of our business and why it was the way it was. Sean (Founder) was able to take that story and make a logo out of it and also added pieces that were really important for me. Camperdown Group is about a tree that is very important to our family and the color yellow is something that I truly love. He was able to incorporate those factors into the logo and made it come to life.

For the website,  we’re currently in the stages of creating a homepage and the information for it. Sean’s doing the back story and ironing out the services that we’re wanting to do. They’re going to help us inform the public and let them know that we’re going to sell houses. Basically, they will market me, my father-in-law, and our team to appeal to the public so that when they want to go ahead and buy a house, they will use us over other real estate agencies. Cyentist is helping set us apart from all the rest.

In addition, they’re going to use Instagram, Facebook, and Google to be able to use ads to get to the public. The team is going to create a Facebook and Instagram page for us so that people can look at our services.  

I’m also working with Sean on a different project. I referred him to another colleague of mine that’s also opening a business. I’ve been on those calls with him and on both projects, he was able to ask the interview questions in several different ways to try to get an answer or to get to the root of what he wants to know.

I have a personal relationship with someone that Sean knows. They let me know about his services and business. Then, my father and I ended up getting to know Sean personally and as we know him for a short period of time, we realized that he was the best man for the job and he knew what he was talking about.

At the end of the day, when it comes down to doing business, I need to work with somebody that I know is there perfectly and somebody who cares about what they do and is passionate about it. He was able to explain what he did in such a way that you could tell that he loved it and he was good at it. Lastly, we knew that we would be getting the white glove services that we ultimately wanted.

The partnership began in November 2020 and it’s ongoing. We first talked last summer, in July 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I had about 4,000 words during the interview and he was able to consolidate that into a small paragraph that best describes my business. That in itself is extremely rare and it has been really important that they were able to take so many different aspects of my business and my personality, and made them shine within a few words. Most people aren’t going to want to sit and read a biography, because they want to get to the point right away. 

It’s just amazing that they were able to talk about the story and get people to see it too.  Then, outside of that, the logo also tells our story and made our vision came to life. It’s almost like we created it in our head and he was able to see that and made what we wanted to happen. 

There have been times where we’ve pushed back and we’ve had a lot of questions — I know from working in a business that people can either get frustrated or flustered with that. However, Sean has always been capable of keeping his composure. He just knows his stuff and he’s always happy in our conversations. He always has a professional answer for everything that we ask him. 

How did Cyentist perform from a project management standpoint?

He always follows our deadlines and has never missed a deadline. When he says he’s going to do something, he delivers. If anything, he’s always been early during this project. We’ve actually been more on track than not on track. We communicate via email or phone. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked in a lot of businesses and with a lot of people, and I found that Sean is somebody who truly cares about what he does and he can give you good insights on his work — that is really rare. He also listens and doesn’t have a big ego attached. He's also helpful. Above all, he’s not an annoying salesperson coming at you, trying to make you take his services. Instead, he lets customers decide and does not force the relationship.

No, I don’t think so. Sean is growing his business and he’s willing to evolve and change with the times. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Spend a lot of time on Yelp, LinkedIn, and Google. Just make sure that you get the person right, and then sometimes even when you do the due diligence, you still find that you didn’t get the right person. As a result, you get unhappy about it. However, I would say to go with Cyentist right away. You don’t have to search far and wide. You won’t regret it if you go with this company because you’ll definitely be in the right hands.
