Please describe your company and your position there.

As CPO, my role is to lead the product discovery and delivery of Operance an integrated digital building information and property management platform.

For what projects/services did your company hire Customer First Digital?

Our product is new to the market and a market that in itself is new, so finding market fir and proving market demand was a touch challenge. We, therefore, hired Customer First Digital to help us analyse the market and test our assumptions.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to prove that the market existed and was a market that expected to grow with lots of potential for new client opportunities and expansion.

How did you select this vendor?

Whilst Customer First Digital as a company are new to the market, Dave Trolle's experience and reputation is well known in the city and we jumped at the chance to work with him.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

The project included the development of Operance’ go to market digital strategy, advising on improving the website customer experience, promoting the free trial of their platform across relevant digital marketing channels, in addition to upskilling the team.

What was the team composition?

Dave felt like an extension to our team, he worked with us in-house at our offices with some element fo remote working. He was incredibly dedicated, with him pushing us for content in an efficient manner which was great in terms of utilising the time we had together effectively.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Using the information as a result of Dave's work, we were able to prove the market and market demand for our product which helped us secure investment to make it happen.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was effortless, Dave fit in with our team really well and helped guide, lead and train the team with new digital marketing abilities.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to get under the skin of our business, market, and potential customers was brilliant. Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a very complicated subject to learn, even for those in the construction industry. For Customer First Digital to deliver the work they did showed great understanding of the technologies and processes we are developing.

Are there any areas for improvement?

With any new business, there is always room for improvement as they continuously improve, but due to David's extensive experience in the industry, I was impressed at how many systems and processes they already had in place.

Describe the project in detail.

We started with a meeting via zoom as the coronavirus lockdown was looming. A face to face meeting was originally offered. Dave familiarised himself with the brand and asked lots of questions which was great. We worked on specific projects per week and had a really great and detailed catch up each Friday.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The main success for us was the knowledge Dave was able to share with us to develop the knowledge of our own team.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Really responsive on phone and email, maintained all appointments. Great communication, we felt we really understood what was happening with our account, which feels as though it's unique in this industry.
