I’m the lifecycle marketing manager at Chatbooks, a consumer products and services company. We make it easy to create affordable photo books by automatically pulling and curating photos from your camera roll. We help users preserve memories with minimal effort through our mobile apps.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire crucialpoint to accomplish for your lifecycle marketing initiatives?

We needed to build email templates to use live text and more personalization in our communications with customers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

crucialpoint created template editor templates in Bloomreach. They made 3–4 different versions of those templates. The templates included a hero section, banner, product comparison section, and review template. We could pull each of these templates together to create one full email with different sections.

We worked with crucialpoint from August 2025–January 2026.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The biggest success was how quickly we started using the templates and adding personalization to our email messaging. Initially, our workflow wasn’t easier, but after our team fully implemented the templates, they allowed for much better flexibility as things changed. The templates also gave us, as marketers, an opportunity to make changes instead of fully relying on coders for support.

How did crucialpoint perform from a project management standpoint?

crucialpoint did a great job managing the project and staying connected. They delivered on time and were flexible with delays on our side. We communicated via email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

crucialpoint’s team was really good at listening and understanding what we were looking for instead of delivering what they thought we needed. That was our experience working with other partners in the past. We were really grateful that crucialpoint listened and executed what we needed. They understood our problem and the solution to that problem.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We worked on this project during the holiday season, and both our teams had a lot of work on our plates. We could’ve communicated timelines better. Overall, crucialpoint managed a lot at once and kept their communication pretty tight.

I’m the senior director of marketing technology and data at Cafe Zupas. We’re a fast-casual restaurant chain offering made-from-scratch salads, soups, sandwiches, and bowls using fresh, whole ingredients. We have locations across several US states.

The team has also created newsletters, broadcast messages, and new product releases. crucialpoint has built automations like the welcome series, abandoned site, and abandoned cart.

crucialpoint has created over 100 campaigns and thousands of creative and copy assets. The team has generated $100,000 in revenue through those campaigns. We’ve also seen a 30% increase in app users, a 10% increase in retention, and a 40% increase in active users.
