The project was pretty involved  moving the Tampa YMCA website to the Open Y platform wasn’t a quick job. It took a few months and lots of meetings to get everything right. Crocode handled all the steps, from planning to design to final launch. Along the way, they shared key deliverables to keep us updated and make sure we were on the same page. They used a mix of modern web technologies to make sure the site worked well and looked good on all devices.

Since the switch, our website has been working really well. We actually doubled our online sales, which is huge for us. The site feels stable, is easy to navigate, and customers have told us they like the new experience. It’s clear that the changes Crocode made helped improve how people use our site and find what they need

Honestly, the team has been really helpful overall. At one point, we had a few different account execs which was a bit confusing, but now we’ve had the same person, Sofia, for about two years and it’s been great working with her. One thing that could be better is help from the developers on getting our activity finder feature fully implemented. It’s a small thing but would make a big difference for our users.

Overall, they've met all our requirements with good results, enabling our customer to launch their site even earlier than expected, allowing them to boost their revenue faster.

Crocode delivers on time and within budget. Regarding tools and communication, we use email, Zoom, Google Meet, and Slack.

Back in the day I was the IT manager of a multibrand clothing Shopify store.

We needed to implement a lot of changes to our store, its workflow and customize a few apps in order to compensate for basic Shopify limitations.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were the most pleasant and straightforward candidates out of all we got. We picked them out of a few recommended by our partners in E-commerce field.

On an initial meeting, we listed and explained to Crocode all of our concerns, needs and desires. They immediately told us what they can definitely do, what needs investigation, what is impossible to do currently due to Shopify limitations. The most important task was to expand upon the number of variants for products. Then they got back to us with a detailed estimation of all the points and a technical document. We provided them with a 50% prepayment, and the the work was commenced. Once they completed the work and we approved it, we paid them the remainder.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our store started loading approximately 40% faster, which was a huge deal and increased our sales conversion rates by around 25%.

I was added to Crocode's Slack, but we mainly used Telegram and Zoom for discussion. The work was delivered on time and there was no need for me to micromanage anything.

We had an old WordPress website that was very slow, outdated, and unprofessional, so we decided to build a brand new company website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Crocode provides us with custom website development. We handled web design internally, and then Crocode built the site. They used Gatsby technology, with  Contentful as a CMS platform and Netlify as a hosting platform. After they delivered the website, we started to work on content.

The site contains information pages, a contact form, a blog, and standard features for a corporate website. Currently, Crocode does maintenance for us. They support us with fixes, issues, and improvements using our system.

The website Crocode designed is very fast and nice-looking. On our previous website, some pages took up to 10 seconds to load. Now, our pages’ average loading time is less than half a second. Our old site also had a 50% grade on Google Fiber Speed Test, and now our score is 99%. 

How did Crocode perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is very good. They’ve stayed on budget, and although we’ve had delays, these were on both sides. We use Trello for project management and communicate through Google Meet.

Crocode gave me a really good consultation at the beginning, showing that they’ve known what to do from the start.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could increase their team size to have more available experts later on. This way, they’ll be available when I have another project for them.

Right away,  Crocode did their homework. They looked at how our competitors handled mobile and figured out what worked and what didn’t. They also checked out the problems our users (both staff and customers) had with our current mobile setup.
From that, they made user personas  basically stories about the different kinds of people using our platform and what they needed. Then they built wireframes, which are like blueprints for the app design and how it should work. These wireframes weren’t just pictures they had some code and were kinda interactive, so we could really get what the app would feel like.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

For sure. Their wireframes and plan became the base for our dev team. We didn’t use every single idea they gave us  that’s normal  but what they made gave us a clear way forward. It saved us from guessing and helped us avoid big mistakes when building.
The wireframes were detailed enough so we could picture how the final app would work, and that made the whole build go smoother and faster. So yeah, the project was a win because we’re using what they made to create our mobile product.

Crocode handled pretty much everything from start to finish.
They built a fast and flexible storefront that worked seamlessly with Shopify, set up the full Shopify backend, and connected it all to a headless CMS (Sanity). One of the biggest features was a custom product configurator that they developed from scratch  it was critical for our use case, and they nailed it.
They also consulted with us on design choices, not just from a visual angle but from a performance and UX perspective too. They optimized page load speeds, helped us structure our content, and made sure everything felt cohesive across devices.
The CMS setup they implemented is modular, intuitive, and has given our marketing and content teams a lot more freedom to work faster and smarter.

The difference has been night and day. The new site loads lightning fast, and our bounce rate has dropped significantly. Customers have actually mentioned how smooth and fast the site feels  which is rare.
On our end, the backend tools are a game changer. We can push out new content, update pages, or even tweak layouts without having to touch code. Sales have improved, and internal workflows are more efficient. So overall, it’s been a win across the board.

The project was super organized from the start. We had a dedicated Slack channel, which made day to day questions and updates really easy. Weekly calls helped keep everything on track, and Asana was used for task management so we always knew what was being worked on.

Honestly, we were really happy with the whole experience. They delivered on everything they promised  and in a few places, even went beyond that. No red flags, no missed deadlines. If anything, I’d say just keep doing what you’re doing.

The Crocode team started by working closely with us to fully map out the requirements. They helped us scope what was possible, set priorities, and really understand the roadmap.
They translated our designs into a fully customized Shopify theme. Beyond the theme itself, they built out custom content pages, added advanced scripting logic (especially around customer tags and segmentation), and made sure the entire store worked for multiple user groups.
They also helped us choose and implement the right apps for our needs  and didn’t just install them, but customized each one to fit into our workflows.
On the backend, they built a fully working API connector between Shopify and our ERP, which was critical for syncing orders, inventory, and customer data.
They also provided user training for our customer service team and stuck around after launch to troubleshoot, fine tune, and keep optimizing based on feedback.

Crocode took on the full development of our new website from the ground up. This wasn't just a redesign they rebuilt the entire site with a fresh architecture and design approach. The new site is responsive, fast-loading, and easy to navigate on all devices.
They developed custom product pages tailored to highlight the unique features of our products and implemented a new, more intuitive shopping cart experience. Most importantly, they focused on performance and user experience across all platforms, especially mobile.
Their team also asked thoughtful questions throughout not just “what do you want?” but “why do you want that?” This helped shape a solution that not only met our needs but enhanced the way our brand is presented to customers. The only minor suggestion would be to provide more comprehensive documentation post launch, particularly for custom features. While the team was available for support, having a clear reference guide would be useful for internal training and long-term maintenance. That said, it didn’t impact the success of the project, and we would absolutely work with them again.
