This was a relatively simple brief as a first website for the launch of a start up. Taking the content already written and making it presentable.Sort out the domain names and email address functionality. What came in addition was a revelation; photographs, advise on content and stunning design, along with tweaking the brand colors, which proved to be revolutionary.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Repeated good feedback about the websites ease of use, presentation has inspired phone calls from strangers and enabled me to demonstrate my professionalism in my business.

Aleks and Stephen are open to contact and conversation. We are just tidying up loose ends but the website went up before Christmas which was the initial plan.

I have no comparisons to make on this. I was very happy with the end product.

It was a busy time for us all in terms of its timing and the speed of getting it through before Christmas. They did a great job given those restraints and I will be ever grateful.

What challenges were you trying to address with Cosmic Velocity?

We needed help with corporate training for our business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cosmic Velocity arranged an introductory workshop for our team; they came to our office, brought materials, walked our team through the day's goals, and organized people in groups to give them different challenges to imagine the journey of a fictional service. The purpose of these exercises was to teach our team how to create a service blueprint.

I worked with Aleksandra and Stephen (Co-Founders). 

How did you come to work with Cosmic Velocity?

I met Aleksandra at a conference. 

What is the status of this engagement? 

It was a one-day workshop in November 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

So far, it’s hard to talk about Cosmic Velocity's final results because we just finished the project, but we definitely noticed a change in our team’s minds and a greater usage of the concepts learned in the workshop. 

How did Cosmic Velocity perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was good and swift from the beginning; Cosmic Velocity quickly came up with a proposal tailored to our needs and was very attentive to our team’s requirements. In terms of communication, we used emails and Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cosmic Velocity was very professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn’t think there was anything they could improve on.

I work for the central government in the HM Revenue and Customs sector, where I'm the digital inclusion and accessibility lead.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cosmic Velocity?

We had a conference in September, a two-day, face-to-face conference, and we sourced Cosmic Velocity to be a guest speaker.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We approached Cosmic Velocity to do a training and coaching session at our face-to-face conference for our user researchers. They're tasked with providing a combination of an inclusive recruitment talk, training, and insight into research inclusivity.

We're still working with them to make an appearance for future events.

We're in contact with the entire team.

One of my colleagues who'd worked with Cosmic Velocity in the past recommended them to me.

We've invested about £3,500 (approximately $3,900 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started in May 2022, and we've since been having ongoing conversations with them for a number of initiatives we want to move forward with.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've sent out a survey to our attendees and so far, every single person has given positive feedback on their experience.

They're excellent from a project management standpoint, as they've been very transparent and willing to understand how our business operates.

They've used their accrued knowledge to enhance their training program and resolve our department's challenges.

We're impressed with how they've made their slide decks 100% accessible for us and our audience.

There's nothing they need to improve on as the team has been brilliant.

I would advise you to understand your needs and be clear with your expectations so they can deliver the best possible results.

I run Brysa Ltd as the CEO and MD. We provide Salesforce consulting and implementation services with specialisation in the media industry.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

CV reworked the entire digital identity of Brysa and successfully completed the website redesign project. They presented all the options necessary and successfully drove the project to completion.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. The communication with CV was very goood. They can do more in terms of streamlining document sharing - which I am sure will happen in due course. However, the workflow over emails were very smooth for the scale of our project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Very design, usability and accessibility focused. Very strong in visual design principles, research principles and understanding of the target we were going for.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Document sharing and collating feedback in one place. At one point, the research team was working on a different document - where, I left the feedback and the design team on another - so there were gaps. More joined approach here would've saved a lot of time.

Cosmic Velocity were retained to carry out user research to validate initial hypotheses (for an idea), understand user needs (pains, gains & jobs to be done) using a mix method research (interviews and surveys).

A research report summarising all of the findings from the user research along with highlighted user needs.

All project was completed on despite some challenges due to illness (client side) and non-availability of participants causing delays. The communication was great, and they were adaptable in responding to challenges.

We wanted to reduce barriers to entry for our busy parent users and over 50s childcarers and knew that we needed to make improvements to the clarity and accessibility of the site.

How did you select this vendor?

We spoke to a couple of agencies and Cosmic Velocity really took the time to understand our company in the round and their proposal was more holistic and considered.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The work clearly moves us on a big step in the direction of communicating our proposition more clearly through design, navigation and content. We don't yet have metrics.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

A productive, iterative process with time to discuss as we went along and work together. The team were open to suggestions and challenged us in a productive way.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Rapid work, low ego and high skill. Genuinely nice to work with and collaborative.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think there was a bit of lack of clarity around how much of the design implementation Cosmic were able to support with. I'm hopeful there will be a little bit more before the project closes.
