We hired Clodebase to do the complete front end development that our end customers would see first. Useability was the most important goal.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The Clodebase team takes every project request and starts with the customer journey, not many firms know how to do this and still translate the requirement into eye candy.

We've been working with the Clodebase team for over two years. They are very customer focused and project based, yet have totally flexibility to change and shift on the fly. The key deliverable is what our customers see first, so this had to be good from the start.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Shawn is the magic man, taking my crazy ideas and turning them into cool stuff you can touch and feel, and it makes you feel good when you see something you know your customers will enjoy. Useability, speed and metrics were of utmost importance.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The Clodebase team uses email and Asana to communicate. Sometimes SMS and Instant Messaging, but the previous tools are sufficient.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They deliver amazing results, and I'm all about that.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I wouldn't change a thing. In fact, I'm trying to keep these guys a secret so I can hoard them for my own projects.

I’m the co-owner of VisionAlgo. We have a broad range of services, but our main focus is providing education and tools to people interested in trading in various markets.

What challenge were you trying to address with Clodebase?

We’ve engaged Clodebase for their website development design services. Our use case is unique in that we’re targeting something that doesn’t exactly exist. Given that, we want to build a platform that contains everything we need. That way, we don’t have to utilize multiple platforms to get things done. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Clodebase has developed a trading platform with features that other platforms don’t have yet. It has a subscription-style payment management feature. All tools are in one place, and end users can log in securely on the platform to manage every aspect of their relationship with our company. Moreover, Clodebase has worked on the product’s security, making sure that the platform has no exploitable vulnerabilities. The team has done security tests to make sure they’re plugging any holes in the system. 

Shawn (Founder & CEO) and his team have also developed a website for us. Their resources use a custom CMS for the site. They’ve also handled the UI/UX design process; their members have made design suggestions while we give specific requests. On top of that, they’ve provided us with copywriting services to help us create the website’s content correctly. At present, they offer maintenance services. 

What is the team composition?

We mainly communicate with a project manager; we also interface with Shawn. A handful of other people work with them. 

How did you come to work with Clodebase?

I posted a high-level request on Upwork. We received plenty of responses, but many of them were suspicious — some teams didn’t understand what we were talking about. Then, Shawn came along and passed our test. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $140,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our feedback for Clodebase is awesome. The team sticks to our schedules; they always meet the timelines they give. The project has been extended because we’ve kept adding to its scope. If we haven’t done that, they would’ve finished the project a long time ago. Overall, the Clodebase team has been on schedule, and we’ve had no issues with them. 

How did Clodebase perform from a project management standpoint?

Every week, their project manager sends us a nice and detailed report. We have access to their Asana account — we get full transparency over what’s going on. They even send us video recaps of what they’ve completed for a certain week. 

We talk weekly through emails. Then, we have the occasional phone calls. I’m big on personal emails for documentation purposes, so I don’t often do calls with them except for routine ones. In terms of the budget, they give us a heads up about any changes in costs. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Clodebase’s development skills are great. We’ve tossed challenges to them where they can’t use other libraries or code that they’ve already utilized for other projects. Despite that, they’ve been able to develop something brand new for us. In other words, they never have any doubts even when things seem difficult. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. Compared with other companies, Clodebase is on top of our list — we’re truly pleased with them. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be organized. To make the engagement easier, have a well-thought-out plan. When you hand that plan to Clodebase, be as detailed as possible.

I am the CEO of an eCommerce consulting firm. I help online store owners boost their sales and conversions. I use a combination of on demand training, an online resource database and group coaching to deliver dramatic results.

My website was outdated and needed a revamp. My development team had limited design skills so we hired this team to update my site as well as one of our partners sites.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had worked with this vendor in the past on an ecommerce store optimization project and recognized their skill and professionalism.

After a series of discovery meetings he went through a redesign and testing phase. His team was gathering feedback from us the entire way until they finally delivered both websites.

In total we worked with 3 team members. The lead designer and his assistants.

I constantly get feedback on the quality of our website and we have driven a significant amount of business through it.

I was blown away by their knowledge about web design and the effectiveness of their updates.

Things could have been done faster and I wish it was easier to update on my own after the fact. But his support has been impeccable long after the project concluded

Shopify allows a maximum of 100 variations per product listing. I wanted to be able to bypass this and allow for unlimited variations. I needed all other functions to work as they were before, such as 

• packing slips including the sku/variation info
• being able to export the orders to my third party shipping providers portal
• fulfilment notices from the third party app being sent back to shopify, so that customers would be notified that their order is fulfilled.

• Being able to offer over 600 variations on one product listing.

the project was delivered on time. Response times in our group chat was prompt and timely.
