Honestly, it's very difficult to find anything to critique. The scope included: Comprehensive AI Audit & Strategy: They began with a full assessment of our existing data pipelines, model architectures, and training datasets, providing a strategic roadmap for improvement. Data Pipeline Optimization: They re-engineered our data ingestion and preprocessing pipeline using Apache Kafka and Apache Spark, enabling real-time feature engineering and handling a 300% increase in data throughput. Advanced Model Development & Retraining: This was the core of the project. Are there any areas for improvement or something Coretus Technologies could have done differently?

Given how successful the engagement was, this is a challenging question.  If I were to make one helpful recommendation, it would be to include even more thorough documentation in the early stages of knowledge transmission.  Even though the final documentation was great, our internal team's onboarding process may have been sped up if we had had access to somewhat more detailed, intermediate architecture diagrams sooner.  This was a small detail in an overall excellent execution, though, and they were quite quick to respond to our requests for information.

Automated Digital Delivery Gateway: They developed a secure, automated system for digital products. Upon purchase, customers instantly gain access to a personalized, brand-aligned download portal with a license certificate, creating a sense of value and exclusivity. The platform handled the launch of our "Chicago Design Week" limited collection without a single glitch, processing a surge of orders that would have crippled our old system. The number of customer service tickets related to digital download issues has dropped to nearly zero.

We needed support to develop a fast, market-ready MVP of our AI-powered meal planner and health assistant on iOS.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In the first 60–90 days post-launch, we saw clear wins across speed, quality, adoption, and revenue:

• MVP shipped to TestFlight in four weeks and went live on the App Store in week six, hitting all milestones on time
• 99.6% crash-free sessions (Firebase Crashlytics) and median app launch time ~1.2 seconds; p95 <2.5 seconds
• 61% activation rate (completed onboarding + first meal plan), with 28% 30-day retention; DAU/MAU ~19% (GA4)
• Engagement: 72% of active users use the weekly planner; recipe saves per user up 38%; 42% export grocery lists weekly
• Monetization: 11.3% trial-start rate and 5.1% paywall-to-paid conversion in the first 30 days (App Store Connect)
• After an AI-tuning update (version 1.1), plan adherence improved 22%, and LTV projections rose ~18%

We defined success upfront and instrumented GA4 (events/corts), Firebase Crashlytics (quality/performance), and App Store Connect (subs/revenue).

For activation, we measured the rate of users who completed onboarding and created their first meal plan within seven days of installing the app. Secondary signals were the first grocery list exported or three recipe saves in seven days.

For retention, we measured the 1, 7, and 30-day retention rates. For stickiness, we measured the DAU/MAU ratio for the last 30 days.

For engagement, we measured the percentage of weekly active users using the weekly planner, exporting grocery lists, and saving recipes. We also measured the median sessions per user per week, median session length, recipe saves per active user, and plans created per week. As a proxy for outcomes, we measured the plan adherence rate, which is the number of planned meals marked completed divided by the total planned meals. For AI quality, we measured the recommendation acceptance rate, overrides per plan, and time to the first AI plan.

For quality and performance, we measured crash-free sessions, ANR rate (Crashlytics), cold-start, and p95 screen render times (Firebase Performance).

For monetization, we measured the trial start rate and trial-to-paid conversion rate. We also monitored the refund rate and churn (App Store Connect).

All metrics were shown on GA4 dashboards with weekly cort cuts and a 30-day rolling view so we could see activation improvements and retention/engagement lift after each release.

Coretus Technologies ran the project with tight, transparent Agile execution and delivered exactly on time. We had a clear roadmap, weekly sprints with demo calls, and a shared ClickUp/Jira board for milestones and dependencies. Communication was proactive — Slack updates daily, quick decisions, and written release notes for every build. The team hit every date: MVP to TestFlight in four weeks and public App Store launch in week six, with zero schedule slippage. Change requests were handled through impact notes, so scope stayed controlled without surprises. Overall, the team had disciplined project management, fast responses, and on-time delivery.

Two things stood out above everything else: Coretus Technologies' real AI depth and their founder-level product ownership. The team didn't just add AI; they designed an LLM-driven personalization engine, set up a sensible MLOps path, and baked privacy/security into every decision.

Equally impressive was the speed with predictability — an investor-ready MVP in four weeks with weekly demos, zero schedule slip, and 100% code/IP ownership. Coretus Technologies behaved like co-founders, not vendors: they challenged our assumptions, translated goals into measurable KPIs (activation, retention, LTV), instrumented analytics from day one, and iterated quickly based on data. Handoffs were clean (docs, infra-as-code, test suites), communication was proactive, and the UI/UX quality matched the engineering. That combination of AI expertise, product thinking, and on-time execution was what made them unique.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The project exceeded expectations. If I had to suggest something, I'd start Android parity a sprint or two earlier to avoid a platform gap, schedule a couple more mid-sprint usability tests to catch small UX polish sooner, and provide even more step-by-step runbooks (admin, monitoring, experiment setup). These are nice-to-haves only — the delivery quality and results were excellent.
