I’m the head of business development at Motion Software, which is now part of Exadel. We are a software development and consultancy company that specializes in outstaffing. We build teams and provide remote digital talents to our clients in Western and Northern Europe and the U.S.

We needed a company that could help us put together a development team for a project.

We initially met DevBrews at a team-building event.

We started working together in January 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

DevBrews has been consistent in helping us find dedicated remote talent with the right expertise and skills for our projects. They’ve provided experts with top-notch communication and time management skills and are dedicated to learning new things and delivering high-quality solutions for our projects. Almost 99% of the projects that we outstaff to DevBrews continue long-term, ensuring our clients’ satisfaction.

How did DevBrews perform from a project management standpoint?

DevBrews has performed well in terms of project management. They communicate well and are consistent in meeting deadlines.

We typically communicate through email, Telegram, WhatsApp, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

DevBrews is a team of trustworthy professionals in the industry. We will be working with them for years to come.

The more detailed the information and the requirements you provide from the get-go, the better, faster, and more efficient the project will proceed.

For what projects/services did your company hire DevBrews?

We had an old and dysfunctional website and didn't have the capacity to upgrade it ourselves. That's why we hired DevBrews to do it!

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have many clients in the IT field and we used to choose the best offer from them. The vision, functionality, development ideas they offered us were the closest to ours.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Initially, we held a meeting where the sections that the site should contain, the information that we want to present to our clients, the presentation of our team, the main areas of activity, etc. were discussed. After that, we were offered the first vision of the site, which we gradually began to upgrade and fill with information. The process was easy, the work was handled with understanding and everything went pretty smoothly.

We were working with two of the managers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After the presentation of the site, the response was great, and so was the interest in it. In case you need further technical information, I could provide.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Working with the team was extremely pleasant, they easily understood all our wishes, we always found the right ones and quick solutions to all questions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team really stands out with its professionalism, deep knowledge in the field, patience and willingness to work with lawyers :) Everything was done in the time we requested and with professionalism.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't think so.

I’m the founder of the company. We’re based in France and address a European / North American audience.

For what projects/services did your company hire DevBrews, and what were your goals?

Our first CTO left just before and we did not find reliable people to handle the development of our platform. Our goal was to create a first mvp and integrate feedbacks from the market. The collaboration with DevBrews accelerated after our pre seed and the decision to move towards a B2B SaaS business model, requiring more than a simple website.

Confidential - our platform is based on AWS technology, integrating Kubernetes, MariaDB, and integrations with third party platforms such as Algolia, Stripe and Hubspot.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to launch multiple versions of our platform and integrate with a solution developed in the meantime by our own team. The current solution has a marvelous look and feel, and is highly reliable / with great response time. All feedbacks from the market were prioritized for continuous integration in the platform.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Very professional, leveraging JIRA in a very nice way for non IT people (and IT guys of course). Weekly sprint reviews and adhoc conversations on Slack. The management style is very professional, straight to the point.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I'm impressed by their ability to bring high-value recommendations both on the technical and product strategy sides + their flexibility in terms of staffing.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At some point, we jointly decided to have a fixed price model - which was a very bad idea on both sides. Keep the current model, based on time and materials, and the great project management infrastructure that you developed.
