The company contracted with Connexu to support top of the funnel lead generation for our Payer market. Connexu is contracted to schedule qualified meetings with predetermined prospects, confirm meetings, refine pitch materials if needed, provide market feedback when available, and schedule follow up meetings as needed.

Yes, the Connexu team has been very responsive. The outbound activity and meetings booked has exceeded expectations so far.

Their familiarity with our ICP impressed us. They were easily able to step in and build a battle card in collaboration with our team that enabled them to ramp and get started quickly.

MyCabinet offers a user-friendly app that helps families and caregivers manage medications, refills, reminders, drug interactions, and health data through a virtual medicine cabinet—simplifying and improving medication management.

What challenge were you trying to address with Connexu?

We wanted to have 7–8 quality meetings per month with decision-makers. (2 per week)

What was the scope of work performed?

Connexu acts as part of our team and reaches out to a database of leads to set up meetings with appropriate decision-makers. The team provides a comprehensive outline of the project, including who they’re targeting, where they are in the process, and the status of each lead. Connexu also schedules the meetings and provides follow-up support for my team.

We work with three teammates from Connexu.

How did you come to work with Connexu?

We found Connexu through a marketing campaign. The team had a strong background in healthcare and specifically with health plans, which was our target.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our KPIs include the number of meetings each month, the qualification of each meeting, and the transfer of this information to the sales team for standard pipeline tracking. Over 95% of the meetings meet our criteria, and we’re very happy with the project at this point.

How did Connexu perform from a project management standpoint?

Connexu delivers on time and on budget. The team is easy to work with. We communicate via email, phone, text, and weekly meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Connexu is extremely friendly but firm in their business approach.

No, there aren’t any. Connexu is always looking for ways to enhance our approach and build our brand and program.

The START Center for Cancer Research conducts early-phase clinical trials for new cancer therapies at global sites. We provide patients access to advanced treatments and comprehensive care, and we have contributed to the approval of numerous anti-cancer drugs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Connexu?

We needed to generate a specific number of leads and qualified meetings weekly and monthly based on our target buyer persona. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Connexu works on a campaign basis using messaging and lists to share the START narrative and value proposition. The team uses the Challenger methodology, drip campaigns, and outreach on behalf of a KOL/SME in our organization. 

What is the team composition?

We started with two teammates from Connexu, and we’ve grown to three team members to align with our growth and their success. 

How did you come to work with Connexu?

I worked with Connexu at a prior company, and when I started working at START Research, I hired them as our SDR team. The team was proven, had great tenacity and outreach mechanisms, and their goals were aligned with ours. Personality-wise, they were a match with our culture and growth mindset.

Connexu consistently hits the target for meetings per month. The team has helped us build a very strong top-of-funnel pipeline in the absence of dedicated SDRs. This way, our business development team can focus on closing deals and bottom-of-the-funnel work. 

How did Connexu perform from a project management standpoint?

The project management is great. Connexu is super responsive and delivers on time. We communicate via email, text, and weekly status calls.

Connexu always comes up with new and creative ideas to reach people. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Perhaps they could let us pick from their roster of available people to work on our team. However, now that we’ve gotten to know them, they’ve matched new SDRs to our team quite well.
