The new headless store front is clearly 2-3 times faster than our previous store. Our CRO rate and other key metrics have been improved. Michal and his team committed on a release date and they met their target. It is a pleasure to work with a team that take the time to find solution that fits your needs.

Ongoing communication was on Slack which was very efficient. The team was responsive and helpful. We had regular, weekly demos where the dev team presented the progress. The project was managed in Asana and after each sprint (2 weeks) I got the report of hours spent and tasks that have been done.

The level of the developers I dealt with, especially Michal and Chris. I am not the most technical person and they really made the process easy for me.

No major feedback, I've really enjoyed working with them — they’re very pro! Maybe one thing to improve is to have a bit better process for billing reports

The new website much better represents our brand and the product is story is much more robust. Customers have been surprised how fast the website is and this has in turn helped the entire customer journey and conversion rate. The backend CMS and modular systems that Commerce UI implemented is an incredibly powerful tool that allows our internal teams to swiftly make great looking updates.

Commerce-UI helped refine and scale the development as well as point out further Frontend Tech Improvements along the way. Our tech stack includes Vue/Nuxt.js and Tailwind CSS as well as Shopify, a Headless CMS and Algolia Search all connected through proprietary Frontend Gateways.

The Commerce-UI team became a part of our internal team. It consists of three front-end developers and sometimes of Marcin (co-founder) to supported and supervise some design decisions.

We asked the Commerce-UI team to help us transforming provided layouts into a modern Shopify Plus store.

Honestly they were great partners in general, and I have very little to no changes that I would have made.

I'm a co-founder and CMO of Soso Sake. The first low ABV sparkling sake brand. It’s naturally gluten-free, sulfite-free, and low in congeners. Today, most (American) drinkers only associate sake with Sushi Night or fancy mixed drinks. But that’s just too small of a stage. We made SoSo to show that anything beer or wine can do, Sake can do better. Park hangs, home warmings, happy hours, BBQs, your grandma’s birthday party. We’ve managed to launch our site on time. We received many compliments on the site from our customers and business partners. The site is playful, and the performance is fantastic. All feedback on the site has been tremendous. The site works perfectly and is super clean and beautiful. It’s incredibly easy for customers to purchase.

Since the pace of the project was crazy (three weeks), we had our mutual channel on Slack, where we discussed everything. We had a daily status of the progress, which made us comfortable seeing the gradual progress. All our requests were implemented in matters of hours.

Those guys are absolute legends! The speed, quality, and communication were outstanding. We didn’t have to give them feedback at all. They saved us a tremendous amount of stress, which made our launch smooth.

Our branding agency has shared the digital design and assets. We had a kick-off call when we shared our expectations and needs. Commerce-UI reviewed designs, pointed out things, and proposed alternatives that might be time-consuming in the development.

In the beginning, we focused on the shopping journey (Homepage, Product Listing Page, and Product Details Page) and transferring all the products with all information to Shopify. In the second batch, we developed all the content pages and polished the whole site before launch.

Our primary touchpoint was Marcin - responsible for managing the project and advising with all technical decisions. Under the hood, I believe it was only one Shopify developer.

The modern ecommerce setup is really complex. Commerce-UI helped us to navigate in choosing proper 3rd party apps, setting up everything to have a smooth, running ecommerce. As a result, I believe we managed to create a much better purchasing experience for our customers.

Commerce-UI has created a list of tasks with time estimation that gave us an overview of when we should land with our new site. We conducted regular video calls to see the demo and check progress. For quick communication, we have been invited to the Slack channel. Commerce-UI billed us every two weeks based on the work logs.

They definitely use the small size of their team as their edge. There are a lot of more prominent agencies that aren’t capable of producing the same quality of work. What’s also unique, I think, is that they fit well in very design-demanding projects.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In overall, I think they are a very well-grounded agency helping brands fit the current clients’ demands and trends in buying online. What sets them apart from other agencies is their organized and professional approach, yet at the same time being very approachable and close in relationship with the client.

The main key for improvement is to navigate the brands’ team in a more caring way, so that every step of the complicated process is well understood.
