I am CEO and co-founder. We make secure hotspots for international travelers across the globe.

We have worked with CodeSmith to develop backend architecture for our Device. This included a multilayer approach as we needed to coordinate interoperability with a number of telecom providers + hardware compatibility + customer-facing web-portal.

How did you select CodeSmith and what were the deciding factors?

We knew a few of team members in person and they have been considered as one of the best backend developers in the country + had vast years of expertise specifically in telecom developing high load solutions.

First, they developed approaches on how to structure the architecture and aligned it with all the parties involved. Then, multiple developments & testing phases followed, including in-house testing and also user tests in a variety of settings to understand if all the use-cases are included.

We worked with 4 people, each of whom was specializing in a certain area of backend development.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were on time + in 3 years we still use the initial infrastructure as it suits our growing needs well and was designed with future growth in mind.

We communicated via Telegram and email mostly and had regular in-person meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were incredible professionals with the fundamental approach that allowed you to build things that last.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think having a dedicated project manager on their side might be helpful to offload some communication.

Payment Industry Technologies Ltd (PITECH) is a fintech company based in Kazakhstan providing internet acquiring and payment services.

We operate in payments industry and one of the strategic projects was to offer internet acquring services to SMEs in Kazakhstan. We wanted to develop own solution with advanced features and we needed an experienced team to develop the core structure of the payment system, so that in-house team can further develop other functions and services

We chose CodeSmith for their experience in alike projects and strong development team. They provide full scale solution including devops, backend, frontend, mobile and IT analytics.

The scope was to develop the core payment system for intertnet acquiring - payments, basic admin dashboard with history, payment details (amount, status, payment ID, date, time), recurring payments, reversals, payment card handling, integration with several local Banks. Technologies used Java, React, Vault by HashiCorp, Redis, RabbitMQ, ELK, MySQL

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We had PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) certification of the internet acquiring system and Ramis (CEO & Co-Founder) supported our Company by describing the system features during the QA audit. The system successfully passed the compliance audit and our Company obtained the PCI DSS level 1 certificate.

We used Jira, Confluence and Gitlab to coordiate and they worked well with our team

CodeSmith is a strong, professional development team experienced in telecommunications, payments industries developing complex systems.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They supported us for three months after the launch, so if there were some minor bugs they fixed them quickly. When questions arise and we approach them for help, they still give us recommendations
