We needed to enhance our team with web and mobile app developers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CodeCraftsmen built and developed our web and mobile platform. We started the project by providing them with design documentation, backend tools, and access to the website. Some of the features they implemented include an influencer profile page, blockchain integration, and third-party software support.

They utilized JavaScript and React Redux as their primary development tools.

We worked with three developers from their team.

I’m colleagues with the founder of CodeCraftsmen, so I reached out to them because I knew they’d be a perfect fit for this project.

We invested around $150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on this project from March 2022–January 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The collaboration with CodeCraftsmen was excellent, thanks to their quick and smooth onboarding process. Their team basically saved the development of this project.

How did CodeCraftsmen perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed well from a project management perspective, as they consistently stayed on budget and adhered to our timelines.

We had daily standup every morning, emailed regularly, and managed the project through JIRA.

We were impressed with their reliability and consistency in delivering high-quality work.

I can’t think of anything they needed to improve on.

I am the CEO of an early stage venture. We are building a global marketplace of experiences (some within our physical premises) that redefines work and play in a hybrid world.

Codecraftsmen was retained for the delivery of our end to end project: building our MVP to operate our first space and manage our community.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The team came highly recommended by other startups. We quickly moved forward after interviewing with them.

The full requirements included a webapp for, a mobile app available on iOS/Android and integrated Stripe payments. Scope of work covered design, architecture solution, development and ongoing sprints to bring our product from POC to MVP.

We worked with many people throughout the project - from designers and solution architects, to dev ops experts and developers (front end, back end) and a project manager. Roman was involved throughout

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Agreed deliverables were met, albeit with occasional delays that can be imparted to both parties - we lacked in-house product leadership to drive accurate spec definitions.

The team is highly professional and versed with all the collaborative project management tools. As the CEO, I was only involved at arms' length.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Roman was always available throughout our work together. Also the team powered through during difficult times (they were in Ukraine during the Russian Invasion). Altogether I rate them very highly on technical skills.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At times, our feature needs were lost in the process. With hindsight, it would have been beneficial to invite the team to work with us in person (or for us to pay flying visits to Codecraftsmen) to iron out some of the miscommunications.

I'm the CTO at a fintech software company. We build cashless solutions for US casinos and cryptocurrency solutions for online sportsbooks and casinos.

I have used CodeCraftsmen as part of my core engineering team for several years. Their software engineers have participated in design/architecture, development, testing, stress testing, cloud IT, and CICD.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found them through a connection that one of our employees had, did a test project that went very well, and then started to work them into our core dev team.

We have used a casual agile approach with weekly/bi-weekly status calls. We are a startup and do not have heavy process, so the team at CodeCraftsmen has had to be flexible and design with us as the project progresses. Tech includes Angular, Ionic, React, Mongo, Postgresql, Typescript, node.js, various cloud environments, various blockchains, NFTs, and more.

80% software developers, 10% QA, 10% project management.

We have worked with CodeCraftsmen for over 4 years and have delivered multiple projects with their resources as a critical part of the development team.

The engineers at CodeCraftsmen have always been open to using our recommended tools. They're extremely flexible in overlapping their work schedule with our time zone. We will jump on a video conference during our business day when an important topic needs to be discussed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We have always worked directly with the software engineers and included them on our core team. They own issues and work hard to meet deadlines for demos, milestones, go-live dates, etc.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing to note that is of concern.

I'm the founder and CEO of Aneta Ed.

What challenge were you trying to address with CodeCraftsmen?

I needed developers to build technology from the ground up. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

CodeCraftsmen started the project by creating the solution's architecture. Then, they created the development stack using AWS and React; CodeCraftsmen utilized Sentry and Python during during that phase. I believe they also integrated SendGrid and Stripe. Their team also worked on developing an iOS app.

The solution allows users to independently navigate from websites, apps, and links using images on a map. The app has a calendar feature for adult users to link to a website and an illustration with a blinking image that the child user clicks on to get to that website. There are family, teacher, and child user profile capabilities. 

What is the team composition?

About eight teammates were working on the project at one point, including QA teammates and front- and backend developers. My point of contact is Mykola (Project Manager).

How much have you invested with them?

I've invested over $200,000 with CodeCraftsmen. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership began in February 2021, although we're not actively developing anything right now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

CodeCraftsmen understood my vision and delivered to it; the app was launched to market in September 2021. Users have been very complimentary about the innovative idea and easy use. I'm now talking with potential early-childhood educational and school partners. 

How did CodeCraftsmen perform from a project management standpoint?

Having only one point of contact is excellent. Even though they are in a different time zone, they are always willing to problem solve with me and always available and responsive. Typically, we communicate through Slack, Google Meet, Zoom, and Telegram. CodeCraftsmen uses Jira, Trello, and GitHub to manage the project. Their team has always been on time and delivers within budget. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

CodeCraftsmen is a partner rather than an executor. They're not afraid to push back if I come up with something that won't be good for my business. They're problem solvers and will devise alternative ways to reach goals if there are roadblocks. Their team is passionate about what they're building. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for them to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'd advise customers to manage the project on their end — CodeCraftsmen works at a fast pace, and customers need to get as much out of them as they can give. It's essential to give them feedback quickly; the time difference is an advantage because feedback is implemented when customers are back online, creating a continuous feedback cycle.

Dolittle is building a developer platform that retrofits enterprise solutions. We have been working closely with some customers to help them develop their own applications. I'm the Head Of Operations in Dolittle AS. My job is to make sure that we look after our clients and we have the right people and tools in the right place at the right time.

The main thing that has always stood out is their ability to traverse any niche we throw at them, on top of this they provide a project management service that means we can focus on bringing more clients in whilst knowing full well that the project is being managed to an exceptional standard.

CodeCraftsmen was hired to create branding for several projects under our main company.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I have worked with CodeCraftsmen at other companies and they have always done a great job delivering what was needed for a more than fair price.

The design projects were based on previous company branding CodeCraftsman had done for us. For each specific project they were provided an overview of what the project was going to do. They very quickly returned several concepts for me to provide feedback on. The process repeated over a couple iterations until the final design was decided on and they delivered the assets.

For these smaller projects I usually work with two resources. One project manager and a designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The designs, branding, and assets were all exactly what we wanted, were delivered on time, and at or under budget. That is pretty rare.

They communicated through the tool I picked and responded quickly.

They have always met or exceeded expectations. Most companies over promise and under deliver.
