I'm the CEO of Ways & Wane. We solve family care challenges for busy professionals through employer-provided benefits programs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Code Sentinels?

We needed help developing and maintaining our product platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Code Sentinels took over the project after our previous team departed. They quickly got up to speed and took over the current projects. Since then, they've been collaborating closely with us. Their work includes developing new features for our application and its admin panel and efficiently handling any ad hoc requests that arise.

Some of the features they've developed include a customized user authentication flow based on client credentials, making the platform accessible to a larger audience, and improving ease of access. Additionally, they've added a reporting interface to the admin panel to display user journey data, such as questions answered. They've also implemented a proof of concept (POC) for emergency care to demonstrate potential new functionality. All features were developed with AngularJS as the primary technology.

We work with one developer from Code Sentinels.

How did you come to work with Code Sentinels?

I had previously worked with one of the developers from Code Sentinels. They were knowledgeable, responsive, and good communicators.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Some measurable outcomes that have demonstrated progress and success in the project with Code Sentinels include the following:

• User accessibility has increased due to the customized authentication flow, leading to a broader user base and easier onboarding.
• Admin efficiency has improved with the new reporting interface, enabling better tracking of user journeys and data-driven decisions.
• We've had a faster response to urgent needs with the delivery of a proof of concept for emergency care, showing agility in addressing new requirements.
• The development process has become more streamlined, resulting in quicker feature releases and more effective handling of ad hoc requests.

How did Code Sentinels perform from a project management standpoint?

Code Sentinels is willing to use our communication platforms and is very responsive to short deadlines, acting as part of the team. They do what they say they will do!

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project's success was measured on timliness in delivery, quality of work and effectiveness of the technical solution.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Code Sentinels worked hard to delivery on time. They're always quick to respond whenever we have inquiries, they worked and collaborated with us, even when things weren't clearly defined, they were willing to were willing to own the outcome.

Highly responsive, friendly and had our best interests in mind.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Jitesh, their owner, is highly knowlegable, a great communicator and software designer.  Though he was leading the team and project, he was involved in all steps, and took ownership in ensuring our needs were met and that the final product met our requirements precisely.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Code Sentinels could have done differently?

I can't think of any at this time.
