The project management was extremely organized with on-time delivery and very quick responses to any questions that we had.

The team at Classy Llama really listened to what we were looking for and helped make recommendations. They also understood that we wanted to learn how to do a lot ourselves in Shopify, so they provided instructional videos that were incredibly helpful.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Classy Llama could have done differently?

Ensuring that all elements of the proposed design fall within scope of the project. There were a few things that we approved that ended up not being native to Shopify and not in the scope of the project, so they will be done post-launch.

Created a ecommerce website on the Magento (Adobe Commerce) platform, a completely new build that all be brought in was product data. Added in ShipperHQ to determine freight rates for customers and any free freight thresholds customers achieved. Built out an integration from scratch to connect to our ERP for customer specific pricing, customer billing information and daily inventory updates. Also, created the path down from Magento into our ERP for orders that has greatly streamlined the ecommerce portion of our business.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Reduced the time for orders to get into our ERP and out to our warehouse for delivery. Easier inventory uploads that are automatically ran each night. Daily customer updates are automatically ran each evening.

Things moved quickly, even though it felt like a long time, knowing we had a huge task ahead of us, it moved along nicely. Biggest hurdle that slowed project was response time from the ERP company.

Wish a few things may have been talked about more during exploration as they became out of scope once we were deeper into the project.

We partnered with Classy Llama to step in and rescue the development and implementation of our new website—and they delivered. Their team brought structure, expertise, and follow-through to a complex project that involved multiple moving parts. They helped us finalize the design and introduced key enhancements, including a streamlined returns process, an intuitive part finder, and a significantly improved product detail page featuring clear specs and structured attributes.

One of our biggest technical challenges was integrating our Product Information Management (PIM) system with the site. Classy Llama helped clean up the sync between the two systems, ensuring our product data flowed accurately and was reformatted for a clean, user-friendly presentation.

They were also instrumental in launching our customizable product kits. These kits are a core part of our business, and we had never before had a website capable of offering customers the ability to configure products based on their needs. Thanks to Classy Llama, we now do.

Their experience with e-commerce, thoughtful solutions, and ability to work within our unique data structure made a meaningful difference in the outcome. We’re very pleased with the results.

Internal efficiency has improved as well—our team now spends less time troubleshooting product data issues, thanks to the cleaned-up PIM sync.

While that sometimes meant waiting a bit longer for features to roll out, the payoff was consistent quality and fewer surprises post-launch.

We needed help building a custom product portal for our customers to be able to seamlessly track the lifecycle of our product in a fully digital format.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Classy Llama built a portal that allowed access across various user permission levels. This portal allows our company and our users to track the lifecycle of our product. The team was responsible for developing the entire portal.

Someone referred Classy Llama to me. I chose them over other options because they were close to my geographic location, and their company values aligned with ours.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July 2025 –February 2026.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Classy Llama delivered a portal that allowed users to log in to their appropriate user group and update key milestones associated with the lifecycle of our product. 

How did Classy Llama perform from a project management standpoint?

Classy Llama delivered on time. They worked their schedule around many time constraints we had on our end. We appreciated their flexibility and willingness to work with us to suit our schedule requirements. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Classy Llama’s willingness to work through the many iterations of our idea before putting it into development was impressive. Their discovery phase was thorough and allowed us to think through some of the decisions we had made prior that may have had unexpected implications if we had carried them out through the design/build phase. We found their input regarding these matters to be immensely helpful.
