GDE performed a UX audit of our application and suggested improvements. They also took our mobile app design and provided improvements and built a scalable and reusable design system.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

With the suggested navigation improvements on our webapp, we saw an increase of users who were able to send their first message to their AI after their initial signup.

They pointed out what could be improved and offered tangible improvements. They clearly communicated with team members to complete deliverables.

Are there any areas for improvement or something GDE.design could have done differently?

One area that could have been slightly better was a better understanding of technical limitations or development constraints to build the improvements they were suggesting. While the suggestions would have improved the user experience, some suggestions we not feasible.

For what projects/services did your company hire gde.design?

We hired gde.design during the process of developing two new features: a "simple" report for marketers and a Phone Application with our specific features for Sales reps.

How did you select this vendor?

We were selecting between the hiring team member for UI/UX and the hiring vendor. We had shortlisted 3 or 4 vendors. In the final step, we had a selection between the two of them. gde.design made a better presentation and had closer to our needs case studies.

We made a technical task, what we need to achieve and for which person type of our customers. They made research competitors and offered stages and forecasts of the final price. After that, we had our first UX wireframes and provided feedback. Next time we had some iterations of the UX interviews and implementation changes. Next was UI with two iterations of finalizing UI. After that was the implementation process with full support from gde.design and fixing details that were impossible to implement due to technical limitations.

We worked directly with a UX/UI specialist, a UX researcher and a project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were pleased with their work process and the final results. At the current stage, those functions are in beta, so measurable results would be later.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had excellent communication with direct specialists, in messenger that we like. They fast reacted to our feedback, implemented everything, or provided their input on why we were wrong.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

My marketing director was impressed with the results.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had twice a problem that we schedule a meeting time but forget to add it to the calendar. So at a time of the meeting happened inconvenience.

What challenge were you trying to address with gde.design?

We needed help with the design of our dashboard which is one of the sub-products of our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I asked Dmytro (Founder) to help with the design of the dashboard. He worked remotely. We had wireframes and we asked him to reproduce them, then send us the screen. I believe he used Material-UI.

What is the team composition?

We just worked with Dmytro.

How did you come to work with gde.design?

He was recommended to us by a mutual friend.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent about €1,500 (approximately $1,624 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together during February 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It was important for our business to build the MVP. Their work was very good, and we were happy and satisfied with the final product. The dashboard was fully functional and reliable.

How did gde.design perform from a project management standpoint?

Dmytro delivered on time and within budget. Project management was very good. He did everything we asked and it was done in a timely manner. Communication wise, we were very happy too. Things were efficient, and they flowed quickly. We used Skype and WhatsApp to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Overall, we were very happy with the quality of his work. Everything went very smoothly from the beginning to the end. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They delivered as expected. We were happy overall and would be happy to work with them in the future.

Just like working with anyone working remotely, make sure your priorities are aligned and that you receive updates frequently.

gde.design did all the UX/UI design work for out two mobile apps (Android and iOS) as well as pitch deck graphics and other small UI design projects.

I saw their work and contacted them years ago.

We started with a short discovery phase for them to learn about our product and market. A large amount of work was spent wireframing the UX flow and then turning the UX design into UI for the developers to implement. We did some clickable prototypes to test the UX.

They always come back with better ideas and more beautiful design than I've envisioned. They take direction and then come back with thoughtful deliverables that always address something I've missed.

I looked through examples of their work on Dribble, as well as weighed responsiveness and English skills

We need a website that we could get up quickly, looked modern/sexy, and that we could use to start registering interested users. We also needed a mobile app that would be the primary user interface for our customers. The mobile app needed to include social network, e-commerce, profiles, and custom components. It also needed a modern/sexy design feel.

What was the team composition?

I interfaced primarily with two of the founders of the firm, though we included another designer in the later stages of the product.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Website is up and running as intended. Mobile app wireframes were passed to the development team who gave positive assessment to the quality and completeness of the project.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow was effective. We had regular meetings to review progress, and Dima was responsive via email and Slack.

We were impressed with their responsiveness, quality of design, and value.

For complex areas of the product with one person, language was a bit of a challenge that made some nuances hard to refine. For more straightforward sections this wasn't an issue.

Project is still in progress. UI/UX is ready but we continue update underhood stuff.

We used Zoom for communication and Figma for progress sharing. Everything was perfect.

gde.design did something you rarely expect from a remote team: they've built the design architecture that perfectly aligned with my business vision and supported the project, later on, effectively adapting the UI for new devices.
