Our ALTCS area, which is a branch of Medicaid that pays for long term care, is very unique and not well known among consumers. We needed a series of videos to explain it to consumers and show them how a law firm can help their loved ones qualify.

I interviewed several potential vendors and was immediately impressed with Jake. He got my vision right away, identified potential hurdles and overcome them, and he seemed incredibly organized. The depth of his knowledge and level of involvement in scheduling and pre-interviews are also huge selling points.

We started with a discovery call, then a meeting in person with key decision makers at the firm. We completed the proposal and finalized the scope of work. Then Jake began pre-interviewing employees and finding a location for our shoot as well as b-roll actors, including challenging ages to cast.

Then we filmed over a two day period at two locations. Post production, included reviewing transcriptions and choosing some of our favorite sound bites. Then I had a completed brand video, that essentially needed no revisions.

I worked directly with Jake throughout the entire project. The feedback and communication was very open and plentiful.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The brand videos now in place on our website and our team is blasting it out everywhere they can. We moved forward with additional videos since we had such great footage and soundbites, including an ad and testimonial video of a client.

Jake's project management style is perfect. He takes charge but welcomes input and feedback. It doesn't matter if you have never made a company video or you have made 100. He adjusted to our needs which were for a full director, producer and, and planning. He was an excellent communicator, always keeping me updated, and getting input when needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I would say Jake's vision was incredibly impressive. He is a natural story teller, even if the story content is boring like ours. He somehow made our brand a story and emotionally positive. The end product really connects with the audience, something I wasn't sure was possible before I started working with Jake.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly, no. Jake is a professional through and through and I am thrilled with the outcome.

We started with a discovery meeting to hash out ideas and content to better understand the prioritization of information. Afterwards, film days were scheduled and interviewees were contacted. Finally, we were presented with multiple rough cuts of the video until all of our requests were completed.

We worked with Jake McCurdy. He was very professional and kind in meetings and on film days when interacting with parents, students, and staff alike. He went above and beyond to complete the numerous edits we requested in a timely manner and ultimately provided us with a high quality promotional video.

I worked with Jake from starting to finish. He was extremely quick in his responses and very thorough in his approach. His created and amazing narrative which fit our storyline and captured for us the best video bytes.

They know how to convert a rough brief into an eye-catching story. Jake knows how to create an impact by his unique way of capturing the people on camera without looking made up. His storytelling has a natural flow and is very believable

I have no complaints. Some other shots could also have been captured but nonetheless the video testimonial was great and shot beautifully

We’ve invested about $50,000–$75,000.

We started working with them in 2015. We don’t have any projects with them at the moment. Our most recent collaboration took place around September 2020.

My advice is to have a detailed brief and scope of what you want. Spend the time upfront to get everything ironed out. That’s what we did and we ended up with the product we wanted.

I deferred almost every decision to him and my involvement was minimized, so I could focus on launching my new company. Jake ran with the project and handled everything in a very expedient and professional manner. My must-haves, entertaining, funny, memorable and professional. I was not interested in having a cheezy looking local type commercial.

After the initial few meetings, I turned it over to Jake and Cinemasters. They delivered on time and on budget and really allowed me to just focus on making decisions. I love the end results. Working with the main person who has a ton of experience was way more beneficial and efficient than going through an agency and layers of people. Jake took care of all the details including casting, locations, shooting, editing, and delivering it to the TV stations.
