ChallengeSoft

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a project engineer at TMS Group International, an engineering company that supplies, automates, and services industrial equipment for mining and processing plants. We have offices in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Poland.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with ChallengeSoft?

We needed to rebuild our websites.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

ChallengeSoft fully rebuilt the websites of all three of our regional companies in Ukraine, Poland, and Kazakhstan, with content available in five languages. They delivered a modern, unified design and a clear structure that presents our company profile, engineering services, equipment portfolio, and international partners professionally. As a result, all three websites now share one consistent brand identity and serve as our main presentation tool for clients and partners worldwide.ChallengeSoft also provides ongoing support, updating the websites regularly so they always reflect our latest contracts and partnerships. The team added contact forms to our websites, which we didn’t have before. Now, visitors can reach us directly through the site, which makes it much easier for potential clients and partners to get in touch.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 2–5 teammates from ChallengeSoft.

How did you come to work with ChallengeSoft?

Someone referred ChallengeSoft to me.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with ChallengeSoft from August–September 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t keep detailed statistics on the website’s impact, but over the past few years, it has definitely brought us several real projects. Beyond that, the value for us is not only financial. In today’s world, a modern, professional website is a necessity and a matter of reputation. Our websites now represent the company at the level we need when we meet clients and partners around the world.

How did ChallengeSoft perform from a project management standpoint?

ChallengeSoft’s project management is well-organized. We agree on the scope and timeline at the start of each update, and they stick to it. The work has always been delivered on time, and they respond quickly to our questions and change requests. Communication is simple and direct, which is one of the reasons we keep coming back to them every year.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impresses us most is how reliable ChallengeSoft is over the long term. We’ve worked with them for several years, and every time, they understand what we need without long explanations. They’ve handled three websites in five languages for a fairly specialized industrial business, and they’ve managed to present complex engineering services in a clear and professional way. It feels like working with a partner who knows our company, not just a contractor.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It’s hard to say because there’s always room to do something better. We have no real complaints about their work. Looking ahead, the websites could be taken further, for example, with a more complex system and databases that pull information about our projects from our archives and display it on the site. However, that takes time, and it’s more a matter of our own future plans than something ChallengeSoft did wrong. Perhaps in a few years, we’ll get there together.

Why did you select ChallengeSoft over others?

• Great culture fit
• Good value for cost

How many teammates from ChallengeSoft were assigned to this project?

2-5 Employees

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Challenge soft were dedicated, hard working, flexible and ultimately successful. The project required moving a company from managing AR and AP with spreadshets to an automated system that integrated with time keeping and helped accountant create and validate invoices, as well as operations to approve payments to staff. There were many challenges during this project, not least was getting the customer to express the requirements that were in her head. Great team at Challenge Soft. I have worked with them on other projects and would work with them again.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Over 250 employees hours were synced, organized, and reported automatically twice a month for Opearations and Accounting teams - with the click of one button.

Company had evidence for each and every bill they sent out and the ability to save, share, and invoice against that report.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

There were some delays to be sure, mainly because all requirements were not understood from the start and there were many exceptions to the processes. The main software was delivered about a month after promised and the team worked to onboard the customer and support the adoption and improvements for the next six months.

What was your primary form of communication with ChallengeSoft?

Virtual Meeting

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were flexible and did not develop project tracking and accounting software from scratch but took popular open source software off the shelf and made it work for the customer. They built integrations to time keeping software, specific reports this customer neded, as well as dozens of calculations and adjustments to make the tool easy to work with. In the end this was worth it because the tool was well supported and inexpensive to operate. This convinced me they were not out to burn hours, but intentionally to do the right thing for the customer.

Are there any areas for improvement or something ChallengeSoft could have done differently?

One thing I'd recommend is to show more the work and ask questions. There was a lot of pressure to move fast and that the team did, but there was some missed requirements up front that took a bit longer to resolve. The architecture and the implementation did not need to change, so that was good.
