I'm the co-founder and Chief Business Officer of Intugine Technologies, we are a Logistics SaaS platform for large manufacturers, e-commerce companies, and 3rd Party Logistics companies.

For what projects/services did your company hire Camera And Shorts Media, and what were your goals?

We hired Camera And Shorts to make a 2-minute video explaining our company’s product which was a ‘Multimodal Supply Chain Visibility’ platform.

Our primary goal was to present our seemingly complex product in simple terms while also highlighting the aspects that made us different from our competitors.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We received recommendations from our peers and through general word of mouth. We selected them after we reviewed their past work and found a project they did for Locus, which felt in the similar domain in which we wanted our video to be in.

Also their personable team made it easier to choose their services.

The project began with the ideation phase which was followed by scripting. After the script got locked, a rough cut was made which was a to-and-fro process.

After the rough cut’s approval, animations for the video started, after which work on sound started, with finalizing and recording the voice over artist being the last step.

After these stages the video went for a quality check and was approved. This process was particularly educational for us as we got insights into the various creative stages involving multiple aspects of filmmaking.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Throughout the journey we were in one-point contact with a creative director who acted as the overhead for the project. We were always timely briefed and were always up to date with the project status.

The process of feedback was made convenient by swift and transparent communication from both ends and stages of the work were always clearly conveyed from their side in a detailed manner.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Video did exceptionally well and to our surprise also spilled into non targeted audience, credits to the appealing animations and the overall execution, successfully completing our goal of engagement.

Following the publication of the video, we witnessed a significant increase in leads. Even our existing clients who were well versed with the product found the video to be top-notch.

The project majorly included free flowing meetings in which multiple ideas were discussed and deliberated upon. The creative director always kept in touch throughout the various stages of production.

All inputs and meeting pointers were well incorporated in the final video. They were very professional when it came to time management and were particular about the timeline.

From start to finish we were always professionally on the same page.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us most was the quality of research that they undertook resulting in them asking some great questions. They were visibly personally invested in the project, which is evident from the end result.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As it was our first endeavor into something in this space it was a learning experience for us, and they did their part well.

I work for a company called Pratilipi; we¿re an online literature platform where users write stories and long-form thesis for other users to read.

What challenge were you trying to address with Camera and Shorts Media?

I'm trying to work with content creators and producers to adapt stories in two video formats; live-action video production and the other is animated content video production.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Camera And Shorts Media did video production for us. On the animation bit, we were animating existing artwork. We provided them with the design and writing, and they hacked around their way and animated it. They didn't have to design storyboards; they only made animations, sound design, voiceovers, music, and ambient sounds.

On the live-action part, we told them what the Pratilipi stands for and what we want to communicate with our branding ad; the ideas, scripting, and casting came from us. Then, they reviewed them to build everything regarding the branding ad from scratch.

What is the team composition?

For the animation part, we worked with three guys, including an animation and sound director, Ashay (CEO), through whom the communications started, one executive producer, and the project director.

The executive producer handled the operations and ensured timely deliveries and seamless communication between the parties.

How did you come to work with Camera and Shorts Media?

I've known Ashay since college.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent around $30,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September 2021–February 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of the work was amazing, even for the branding ad. For the animation bit, we got clear feedback from our user base because we posted these series on our YouTube channel — the first episode got a hit of more than 5 million views!

Overall, we were satisfied with their work.

How did Camera and Shorts Media perform from a project management standpoint?

They were pretty good at meeting deadlines, though there were few delays. There was constant support from their side to ensure smooth communication and that we had timely deliveries.

We used Discord and phone calls to communicate between groups.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their sound design, from music to voiceovers, was class and distinguished them from other providers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They didn't have in-house folks for animation and had to work with external parties, which led to some struggles initially. Nonetheless, they learned from that, and things started to move smoothly.

Any advice for potential customers?

After the initial briefing, let them be and do their thing in their way. Let them take ownership and their creative calls and run with it — they'll surprise you.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The team has a great filmmaking background, and good body of work across the board, especially where they've really been able to bring together a documentary approach to filmmaking when required. Their body of work encompassing award winning films, and those hosted on a streaming platform game me the confidence to work with them.

There are quite a few that the team has worked on - ranging from environmental impact to social impact. With each film the team has come back with the creative approach and treatment, followed by the storyboarding, scripting, filming and editing. They are patient with feedback, and receptive to inputs at all times, while bringing in their own style and creative thought.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We work with the production lead, and the feedback loop is constant and on both ends. We discuss each story at every stage, and have an open exchange of ideas, plans and progress. They also use intelligent platforms that make the feedback loop quicker and effective.

The stories are hosted on the global website on our owned storytelling platform, and are shared on all globally managed social media platforms.

The way the team thinks, and treats every project uniquely, as per the need of the story, and narrative, is amazing. The creative inputs and unique thinking makes the team a great one to work with. Their end-to-end execution is highly impressive.

Expanding the team further might be a logical next step.

I’m an executive at an entertainment tech startup. We’re building a product for connecting fans and celebrities in our area. We started about two years back, have raised over $10 million in funding, and have over 2 million subscribers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Camera And Shorts Media?

We went to Camera And Shorts with a clean slate; since ours was a new product, we wanted to conduct a market-creation exercise. Our goal was to educate our celebrities and end customers about the product with an explainer video.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we explained to Camera And Shorts what we wanted. They created a storyboard focused on explaining our product. Then, they did creative design work for the video’s look and feel. The team then created the video and added the colors. Camera And Shorts did everything from scratch and delivered the final video in one and a half months. Additionally, they helped us with advertisement production and scriptwriting for other projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Camera And Shorts created a nicely-compiled video that most people liked. Our primary aim at the time was for the video to explain our product to celebrities and investors in a way they understood and enjoyed, and the video accomplished its purpose. 

How did Camera And Shorts Media perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great regarding the budget — the team was accommodating rather than stringent. They were also flexible in cases when we didn’t require super high-quality work or had a tight budget. Regarding timing, they were like every other agency; there was a 10% delay here and there. As for communication, we spoke over phone calls and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with Camera And Shorts’ clarity and response time. They were very responsive to our questions and requests, and they would tell us if they could do something or not. For example, we once wanted some script work, and they said it wasn’t something they had worked on. Therefore, they were transparent and didn’t take jobs they weren’t qualified for just for the money. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve on their timelines — there was a 10%–15% shift in their timing. However, they never charged us extra for the delay. Still, as a client, it’s always best if a vendor can deliver fast, especially when it comes to startups. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to go to them directly with your questions and highlight any concerns you have upfront. Camera And Shorts usually brings out the right solution in a given timeline and budget; they’re very clear and transparent and won’t give you false promises. They’re also very professional, responsive, and won’t shy away from iterations. If you’re looking for quick video generation within a good budget, you should go for them.

We have been working with Camera And Shorts for more than 4 years now. They have been advising us on creating new AV content for our projects on a regular basis. We wanted to shoot a nice AV with warm visuals that communicates the core USPs of our project located in Gurugram.

And we hired Camera And Shorts for this assignment.

We have a policy where we release the brief to multiple vendors and allow them some time to plan and come back with ideas and execution plan. There were 3 main deciding factors. a) Profile of the studio. b) Ideas and execution plans c) Competitive cost

Basis our brief, Camera And Shorts suggested the script, screenplay, moodboards, location and post production treatments for the AV.

The casting was also done by them. All the production associated thngs like hair, make up and accomodation of the cast and crew was planned and managed by them.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with the entire team. The senior management at Camera And Shorts personally volunteered to be the SPOC for the entire shoot.

They had set up a live feed wherein feedback was being communicated in real time. Overall, the shoot was done in a smooth and professional manner.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The final AV was even better than what we had envisaged during the brief. We knew that when you have a team like Camera And Shorts onboard, they bring in their expertise and customize certain nuances that take the final output to another level.

That is one of the key reasons we prefer working with them. We have been using that AV across platforms and our prospects have given us a positive feedback on the same.

They have been professional in their approach throughout the entire project. Right from taking the brief and coming back with ideas and suggestions, they have understood and adhered to the timelines with very little deviation.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team's skills brought to the table were noteworthy. The shoot required a lot of energy, focus and proactive awareness to the surroundings.

The entire team understood the requirement and played their respective role to perfection. The co-ordination in their efforts was rare and unique.

None I can think of as of now.
