What challenge were you trying to address with C42D?
We wanted to rebrand our company, so we wanted to rebrand from a previous name.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
C42D provided branding, web development, and web design services. We started with a discovery call, during which they understood our goals. Then, we had a planning session and a brainstorming session on branding. We have had weekly meetings with them since the beginning of the project.
They helped us with our sales and marketing pitch decks and created many marketing collaterals, including one-pagers and business development documents. They also helped us with templates for documents we send to our clients.
We had discussions about the company's vision and the overall brand strategy. We went through a brand discovery phase and a brand strategy phase. They helped us position ourselves in the marketplace in terms of branding versus our competitors. They refined our messaging and did an end-to-end branding exercise.
They created our logo and built our website from scratch using Figma and Webflow. We had a session on discovery naming. They had a brand identity system that they walked us through. They helped us with visual strategy and brand architecture. They built our narrative and did a story brand framework for us.
We went through many brainstorming sessions to develop our value proposition. They figured out our brand pillars, fine-tuned our mission and vision, created our brand personality, and defined our ideal customer.

We worked with around 7–8 teammates, including the CEO, project manager, web designer, web developer, and brand strategist.
How did you come to work with C42D?
We found them through a recommendation from our investor.
How much have you invested with them?
They gave an initial proposal of $70,000 or $75,000, but we added more scope to it, and the spend was between $70,000 and $100,000.

We worked together from December 2024–July 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We heard from many clients that they loved our website, and our investors loved our new branding and logo. We received a lot of inbound feedback from our clients, investors, and friends. Everyone loved the new name, color palette, and look and feel of the new brand. Our employees were impressed with the work the team did. Overall, they exceeded our expectations.
How did C42D perform from a project management standpoint?
The team met deadlines and was on top of the project. We had weekly project meetings. They communicated the project plan through PowerPoint or PDF files.
What did you find most impressive about them?
C42D had a very good design team. They helped us with clarity in their thought processes and how to think about branding. Their website development was top-class.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Overall, it was a great partnership. They did a great job, so I can’t think of any particular area of improvement.

Be on top of the questions they ask. The brand strategy and design team are really good, so use that to your benefit. I recommend getting them on board early in your company's life cycle.

What challenge were you trying to address with C42D?
We needed help creating our branding and brand identity.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
C42D assisted us with our branding, which included our logo, color palette, and tone of voice. The team helped define how we communicated with the external public. When we started our contract, C42D gave me a good foundation for understanding the project's expectations and structure. Once the team learned what I wanted, they accommodated our relationship to move further.
I gathered a list of C42D's previous work and what I wanted and brought it to them. We had a call with the entire team to discuss the project's process and timeline. The team also shared with me how they approach each step of the process. Before we got into the design work, C42D guided us through a process where they interviewed our team, clients, and other people who had interacted with my brand.
C42D helped us rally and curate testimonials from existing parents who had used our services, which provided insight and informed our tone of voice and language. I also shared with the team some research we had done about our audience and client base, which helped significantly because the staff didn't quite reflect our focus audience. I didn't want gaps around how to speak to our audience.
After research, C42D ended up giving us design options for our logo to choose from. The team delivered three different logos, and we met internally to compare the pros and cons of each of them. Once we chose the final logo, we asked C42D to change one aspect we didn't like. The team sent us designs in Figma, which was a mock-up later in the stage. We reviewed several mock-ups and different options for logos in PDF form.
Lastly, C42D also gave us assets to use on our social media, including graphics and phrases that were one-liners based on interviews and their interpretation of our research.
What is the team composition?
I initially worked with three teammates from C42D and a fourth team member who delivered the final assets. I worked with a lead designer, a project manager, and a lead researcher.
How did you come to work with C42D?
I found them through a Google search while looking for a branding and marketing agency. I was searching for professional graphic designers who had done previous work for other companies in the healthcare industry. I saw that C42D had worked and serviced companies I admired and of which I liked their brands. I informed the team I wanted a similar look and aesthetic, so I leaned on them.
I liked C42D's work, so I submitted a form on their website showing my interest. A teammate later called me, and we had an introductory call where we ran through a discovery of what I wanted, my budget, and a general review of my timeline.

We worked together from March–May 2024.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We used the graphics provided by C42D to run ads. We received overwhelming reviews among our partners and clients about our brand and logo's great look and feel. Anecdotally, we received a lot of compliments and feedback. I also liked that C42D delivered three different logo options from which we could decide and narrow down to one versus only giving us two options or giving us five options. C42D gave us enough options to review and then whittle down.
How did C42D perform from a project management standpoint?
C42D's project management was excellent. The team was very attentive, communicative, and thoughtful about what we shared. C42D used a lot of the information we gave them, which ultimately informed many of the deliverables they gave us. We used Slack primarily for communication and Zoom to host our calls. We could reach the team through Slack when we had any questions. C42D offered to have the calls on a weekly basis, but we learned further that there wasn't a need to have a call every week. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
I want to highlight the work of C42D's lead researcher, who led all our calls and conducted interviews. He spoke most with my team, taking what we shared in our research and beautifully turning it into taglines. He was very helpful, and I liked how he approached parents, taking a lot of care and consideration for the industry we're in, which is mental health. He spoke from his personal experience, and we felt like he identified with us and our problem. He was wonderful to our clients.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I liked that C42D had a dispersed team. The agency was based in New York City, where I'm from, and it was nice to know that they had an awareness of the city, which informed their quality of work. However, not all of their team members were in New York City. I learned that one of them was in Vancouver.
The dispersed team ended up being very helpful because they had flexibility in their time and schedules to interview our clients located on the West Coast or in other areas with time differences. C42D's team location worked out really well because they were more accessible than if they had all been in New York City.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I'd have liked to be more involved in the construction of the brand. We had a check-in call, but that didn’t happen weekly or as often as I thought it would be. That was mainly because there weren't many things happening on a weekly basis, but I would've liked to have that face time and know what was happening behind the scenes a bit more.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend having an open mind and communicating what you need as best as possible. Do some research on C42D's prior work and try to match your preferences with what they've done in the past. That was what I did, and it was really helpful going into the engagement with C42D. I communicated with the team clearly, and it resulted in us getting what we wanted.
I also suggest giving feedback to C42D about their work. We didn't like one aspect of the final logo, and asked the team to change that. Communicate if you don't like something and let C42D know so they can change it.

Introduce your business and what you do there. I’m the owner and founder of Casey Lifestyle Management. We’re a concierge service for professional athletes, so we help to book flights, hotels, rental cars, car services, and more. I started the company five years ago.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with C42D? The material I had was good initially, but I needed to rebrand. I needed to get a pitch deck that showed my company and our services to a potential client.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement? Initially, we went through a complete interview process with C42D. They created the pitch deck and helped with messaging and brand identity. We kept my current logo, but C42D made some adjustments to make it finer. Moreover, they helped me with my goals and putting together a vision book for this client. What is the team composition? David (Founder & CEO) was my main point of contact. How did you come to work with C42D? I found them in an article about top branding agencies in New York; it was written about them. After I did the research, I spoke to David, and they were a perfect fit. How much have you invested with them? We spent $10,000. What is the status of this engagement? We first engaged with them in October 2023, and they delivered in the same month.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We submitted the pitch deck a week ago, and the potential client is reviewing it internally, so we should hear about it soon. However, C42D exceeded our expectations. The imagery, wording, and everything they put on the slides was really spot on with our brand. C42D hit the nail on the head and brought my vision to life in a cool, modern way. Overall, their work will be helpful in the years to come when I share my company vision with new clients. How did C42D perform from a project management standpoint? They respected the budget and even contacted me on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Communication was fantastic. We did a series of back-and-forth Zoom calls over the weeks of the project and used emails and text messages. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review? David was highly responsive; he worked on weekends and was always available. What did you find most impressive about them? They did exactly what I asked them to do. The way they rebranded our company and brought our vision to life was impressive. Are there any areas they could improve? I was super satisfied; I didn’t have anything negative to say. In fact, we’ll do more work with them in the future. Do you have any advice for potential customers? I recommend sharing every thought you have; don’t hold anything back and give them the good, the bad, and the ugly. C42D will know what to do with it.

I'm the co-founder and CEO of When. We've developed a novel employee benefit that helps workers afford health insurance after an involuntary job loss.

For what projects/services did your company hire C42D, and what were your goals?
As a startup in the employee benefit space, we felt it was critical to have a company name and branding that accurately reflected the problem our business was solving. We weren't happy with our existing company name as it potentially created negative connotations for target clients. We needed C42D to help us create a new company name, and develop our brand identity to take to market.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
One of our west coast investors gave us three highly regarded potential brand agencies, C42D being one of them. Our leadership team interviewed all three agencies and we settled on C42D because we felt confident in their ability to hit our timelines and work within our budget.

We went through a lengthy discovery process where they learned about our business and the problem we're solving. They spent a lot of time learning about the employee benefit space, how it works, possible competitors, and how we wanted to enter the market.
Their main priority was developing a new company name, and a brand identity that was aligned with our mission. They also identified a domain that worked with our new name, and built our marketing website. The main steps for our project:

The CEO and founder, David, was involved in most of our discovery, strategy and naming meetings. Ashley led the efforts on strategy and naming. Christa was the project manager involved in all steps of the project. Alison led the efforts with the logo. TJ led the effort on developing our website.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
In our opinion the project was an absolute success. Our new company name, logo and brand identity perfectly reflect the image we wanted and needed. Our investors were thrilled with the outcome, and our business partners and clients love our name and branding.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
I was impressed with their weekly meetings and weekly status documents they sent out (pdf with a project timeline/gantt and where they stood with in the timeline). They ran the meetings effectively, and didn't waste our team's time with unnecessary calls. It was fairly common to have a meeting done ahead of schedule, and we got off the call early, and then receive a follow up meeting with the project status. No complaints with how they ran the project.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
C42D impressed with a good blend of creativity and project management. I've seen plenty of creative projects that were mismanaged and ran inexplicably past timelines, but C42D was professional in both their management and ability to deliver a truly creative solution for us.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The sharing of PDF status documents gets a little messy. I think using a better online project collaboration tool would be beneficial.
