We had many major needs as soon as we started working together. The first is our online store, cloverleaf Distribution, our shipping firm, which we had to build from scratch. BVP Software is necessary when we are building this website in order to simplify it for the client.

BrightBot enables our customers to add an AI-powered chatbot to their website, trained on their own data. This project was to develop and deploy the first version of the application, including the development of the backend services (using Spring Boot) and the front end (using React). The application enables customers to sign in (using a username and password or Google), to manage training data, to monitor chats in real time and to take over a chat.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We worked from a shared backlog, with fast deployment of stories for testing and acceptance as soon as they were completed.

The BVP Software team were very good at communication, which was mostly via Slack. They were very responsive to questions and reports of any defects we found. As is required for an agile project to succeed, we interacted directly with the developer working on a particular story. They worked from a backlog and we discussed each story to ensure the requirements were well understood before it was started.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were able to develop both front end and back end and so took complete ownership of delivering the whole application. They were adaptable and were able to get up-to-speed on new technologies (for example the AI services we used). Their responsiveness was fantastic - we almost always got an answer to a Slack message within minutes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something BVP Software could have done differently?

Nothing comes to mind - we were very happy with BVP and would definitely use them again for future projects.
