We're Margarita and Igor, partners in life and work. We founded Butcher in Israel in 2021 to build a team that gets involved in what clients are building and cares about the result. Margarita leads design; Igor runs projects and client relationships.

Today we're a small senior team across Israel and Europe, creating brands, websites and digital products for startups, SaaS companies, fashion and luxury brands in the US, UK, Europe and the Middle East.

We start by understanding what has changed in your business and what you want to achieve: launch a product, reach a new audience, explain a complex offering more clearly, or bring your brand in line with the company you’ve become. If your positioning and identity still fit the business, we can keep them and focus on the website’s structure, copy and design. If the company has outgrown its current identity, we explore a brand refresh. We look at your product, audience, competitors and existing materials, then recommend what to change and why. You don’t need a detailed brief to get started. Tell us about your business, the challenge and any constraints. We’ll help define priorities and scope the work, whether that means a standalone website or a brand that we continue to develop together.

Yes. We bring together brand strategy and identity, website design, product UX/UI and development. This helps carry the brand’s character and the product’s logic from the first idea through to a working interface. Brightr, for example, came to us with a brief that fit on one screen. Our work grew to cover its brand, marketing website and SaaS product, including the interface, frontend and backend. You can also engage us for a specific part: building a website around an existing identity or handing design over to your development team. We choose the platform around the project: Webflow for content-managed websites, Shopify for online stores, and React/Next.js and custom development for more complex products. After launch, we can continue with new pages, product interfaces, presentations and other materials. You keep working with a team that already understands your business and visual system.

We start by discussing the task and agreeing on scope, stages, team and schedule. Margarita leads the design direction; Igor handles project coordination and client relationships. You discuss decisions with the team and follow the design work in Figma. Branding starts with understanding your business, audience and competitors. We then define the idea and visual direction, develop the logo, typography, colour palette and graphic system, and test them on the applications you need: a website, presentation or packaging. We finish with usage guidelines and source files. Websites follow their own sequence: structure and wireframes, visual direction on key screens, design of the remaining pages and mobile layouts, development, content, testing and launch. We review and agree on the work at key stages so each step builds on decisions already made. Branding typically takes 3–6 weeks. Smaller websites start at around five weeks; a corporate website with an extensive project portfolio and CMS may take 10–14 weeks. Online stores and projects with complex animation or integrations are estimated individually. For brand and website projects, we create a combined schedule, with some tasks running in parallel. Timing also depends on content readiness and feedback. Before starting, we agree on what both teams need to provide and when. If you have a fixed launch date, we first establish what can realistically be ready for it.

Projects start at $5,000. The final cost depends on the scope: how much brand development is needed, the number and complexity of pages, content, animation, language versions and integrations. After our first conversation, we prepare a proposal outlining the stages, deliverables, timeline and cost. For branding, this might include an identity, guidelines and the applications you need. For a website, we account for planning, design, development and launch preparation. Copywriting, additional materials and other tasks are explicitly listed in the scope. If you have a budget in mind, tell us early. It helps us choose the right scope and sequence: what matters for launch, what can develop later, and where a more elaborate execution is worth the investment. Any additional work that comes up during the project is estimated and agreed with you before we start it.
