Honestly, I didn't expect such amazing results. First of all, the website turned out so great that on the very first day I shared it on my social media, I received messages from 5 people! These were not only new clients but also returning ones who saw my work on the site and wanted to book my services again.
In short, the success is that in less than a two months of the website being live, I almost recovered the cost of building it! I'm absolutely thrilled with the results.

Our Story

We're Margarita and Igor, partners in life and work. We founded Butcher in Israel in 2021 to build a team that digs into what clients are building. Margarita leads design; Igor leads projects and client relationships. Today we're a small senior team across Israel and Europe, creating brands, websites and digital products for startups, SaaS companies, fashion and luxury brands in Israel, the US, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. I lead all creative at Butcher — identity systems, art direction, and design that holds up beyond launch. I care about intelligence, kindness, and depth, and have no patience for shallow visuals or aggressive ways of working.

I run growth, strategy, and how the studio shows up at Butcher — working with founders and marketing leaders directly. What I optimize for: clients leave with more than they hired us for, and the work keeps making sense long after launch.

We work with three kinds of companies. The first is startups and B2B tech companies from seed to Series A: SaaS, fintech, AI, cybersecurity, medtech, energy tech. For them we create the positioning, identity, website and investor deck, and often stay on for product UX/UI and ongoing design. Bounce AI came to us for brand guidelines and marketing design, Onyx Security for an investor pitch deck, Guesty and Vault Platform for months of design support. The second is growing companies whose brand no longer fits the business: a rebrand, then a new website. Veritas Logistics Group is a recent example. The third is luxury, fashion and beauty brands. For SelfMythology we created the identity and packaging; for Aeterna, the name, identity and a packaging concept; for Sevenworlds, the identity and the online store. When we meet, we'll show the projects closest to yours and explain exactly what our role was in each.

We start by understanding what has changed in your business and what you want to achieve: launch a product, reach a new audience, explain a complex offering more clearly, or bring your brand in line with the company you’ve become. If your positioning and identity still fit the business, we can keep them and focus on the website’s structure, copy and design. If the company has outgrown its current identity, we explore a brand refresh. We look at your product, audience, competitors and existing materials, then recommend what to change and why. You don’t need a detailed brief to get started. Tell us about your business, the challenge and any constraints. We’ll help define priorities and scope the work, whether that means a standalone website or a brand that we continue to develop together.

Yes, that's a common way to work with us. First, we help you decide what to do and in what order. We look at your product, audience, investors and deadline, and agree on what has to be ready first: sometimes an identity and a website that tells your story to investors, sometimes a website built on your current brand, with the rebrand later. Before we start, you get the stages, timeline and cost in writing. Then we do the work as one team: strategy, naming, identity, website, product UX/UI and development. Branding usually takes 3–6 weeks and a smaller website starts at around five weeks; for brand and website together we build one schedule, with some tasks running in parallel. If your launch date is fixed, we first agree on what can realistically be ready. After launch, we stay. Brightr has worked with us since 2024, from MVP to production, and Leveraged kept us on as its creative team after launch. If you have your own developers, we hand the design over to them and continue with new pages, product screens and decks. Websites with a CMS are built on Webflow, online stores on Shopify, complex products on React/Next.js. We don't promise a round or sales: our job is to make sure your company is understood quickly and correctly.

We start by discussing the task and agreeing on scope, stages, team and schedule. Margarita leads the design direction; Igor handles project coordination and client relationships. You discuss decisions with the team and follow the design work in Figma. Branding starts with understanding your business, audience and competitors. We then define the idea and visual direction, develop the logo, typography, colour palette and graphic system, and test them on the applications you need: a website, presentation or packaging. We finish with usage guidelines and source files. Websites follow their own sequence: structure and wireframes, visual direction on key screens, design of the remaining pages and mobile layouts, development, content, testing and launch. We review and agree on the work at key stages so each step builds on decisions already made. Branding typically takes 3–6 weeks. Smaller websites start at around five weeks; a corporate website with an extensive project portfolio and CMS may take 10–14 weeks. Online stores and projects with complex animation or integrations are estimated individually. For brand and website projects, we create a combined schedule, with some tasks running in parallel. Timing also depends on content readiness and feedback. Before starting, we agree on what both teams need to provide and when. If you have a fixed launch date, we first establish what can realistically be ready for it.

Projects usually cost between $10,000 and $30,000, depending on the task. Branding for a startup typically costs $10,000–15,000; smaller projects start at $5,000. A brand and website together tends to sit at the upper end of that range. Product UX/UI, custom development and ongoing design support are scoped individually. The final cost depends on the scope: how much brand development is needed, the number and complexity of pages, content, animation, language versions and integrations. After our first conversation, we prepare a proposal outlining the stages, deliverables, timeline and cost. For branding, this might include an identity, guidelines and the applications you need. For a website, we account for planning, design, development and launch preparation. Copywriting, additional materials and other tasks are explicitly listed in the scope. If you have a budget in mind, tell us early. It helps us choose the right scope and sequence: what matters for launch, what can develop later, and where a more elaborate execution is worth the investment. Any additional work that comes up during the project is estimated and agreed with you before we start it.
