oobyte is a marketplace and rewards platform where members earn cash from engagement and referrals and withdraw it to their bank account or card, so the infrastructure behind it has to be reliable. 2BI designed and built that infrastructure for us. They designed our Kubernetes environment and deployed it on both AWS EKS and Azure AKS, with our dev and production environments running on AWS today. The entire setup is defined in Terraform, including cluster creation, networking, ingress and access control. They also built our continuous deployment pipeline from GitHub into the clusters using Argo CD, and they support us with monitoring, scaling and upgrades.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Dev and production are built from the same code, so environments cannot drift apart.
The same Kubernetes setup has been deployed on both AWS EKS and Azure AKS, keeping the platform portable between clouds.
We can now provision a complete cluster from code in about an hour, with no manual configuration. Dev and production are built from the same Terraform code, so the two environments don't drift apart and what we test is what we ship. Application releases go out automatically through Argo CD, and rolling back is a single step. Because the same setup has already been deployed on both AWS and Azure, we are not locked into a single cloud provider.

Communication with 2BI was direct and fast. We always had a clear picture of what was being built and why, and technical decisions were explained in terms we could act on rather than handed over as finished facts. Work was delivered on the timeline we agreed on, and when we needed changes or ran into issues, they responded quickly.

Their seniority. They didn't just set up clusters; they designed the whole approach, from infrastructure as code to GitOps deployments, in a way our team can understand and build on. We build an AI platform for document-driven process automation, and most of our clients are financial institutions that require the software to run inside their own environment. 2BI handles that side of the business for us. They deploy our platform into each client environment, containerised with Docker and orchestrated on Kubernetes, and set up everything around it: cluster configuration, networking and storage, certificates, backup and access control. They also built the CI/CD pipelines that take new versions of our platform from our repository into client environments. Today they run eight environments for us across four countries, both on-premise and in the cloud, and handle monitoring, patching, upgrades and incident response on all of them.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Eight client environments in four countries, all running through the same standardised deployment process regardless of whether the client is on-premise or in the cloud. Before we worked this way, every installation was effectively a one-off. New releases now reach client environments through automated pipelines instead of manual installs, which shortened the gap between a version being ready on our side and clients actually running it. The outcome that matters most to us is that our own engineers are no longer pulled into per-client infrastructure work and stay on product development.

We work with them directly, with one point of contact on their side, and communication is quick and informal rather than run through a ticketing process. Deployments are scheduled around the change windows our clients' IT departments allow, which in banking is not something you can move, and they have kept to those windows. When an issue comes up in a client environment, they respond quickly, including outside standard working hours.

They understand what it takes to operate inside regulated environments. Installing our platform in a bank means working within that bank's security reviews, change windows and internal rules, and 2BI deals with that directly, so we don't have to translate between our product team and each client's IT department. Having one team cover infrastructure, deployment and ongoing maintenance also means we are not coordinating three vendors to get a single installation live.

The first deployments took longer than we expected, before the process was standardised across environments. That has not been an issue since, but it did cost us time early on.
