Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the president and co-founder of my company. We develop robotic and smart-lift assist equipment for the construction industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with SHE Advisors?

We were looking to grow our sales and marketing team. We had a couple of exciting products in the market and needed to take our sales and marketing to the next level.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Taylor has been working with us for over one year, and we’ve utilized her and her team on various projects. Taylor herself has filled multiple roles in that time, including in a marketing capacity — developing webinars, putting out promotional emails, bringing people in, and scheduling and running the webinars.

Taylor has also worked with our sales team to implement improved business practices around how we follow-up on leads and organize and execute within our HubSpot CRM. Finally, we used them for additional lead generation and PR as well.

What is the team composition?

We’ve dealt with a number of people in her organization over time, including people who’ve filled sales roles, administrative roles, and more. We’ve also met their board. Taylor coordinated everything behind the scenes; she was our point person.

How did you come to work with SHE Advisors?

We were introduced through a mutual colleague we were working with. Initially, Taylor was asked to join us at a tradeshow to provide market research support. She picked up on the product quickly, and we saw her ability to understand the market and speak to field resources and high-level executives in real-time. We were impressed by Taylor’s ability to present well-established relationships within companies at various levels, as well as quickly step into roles we needed to be fill.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since May 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We set individual metrics for certain projects — lead generation, for example — and they hit the mark every time. Anecdotally, Taylor and her team are organized and project-driven. When you define your goals, they get to work with high energy. They’re also very transparent in their execution. As long as there’s good communication, they can help you get where you want to go.

How did SHE Advisors perform from a project management standpoint?

There are regular touchpoints via phone and text, as well as regular review meetings. SHE Advisors also sends up project-tracking reports, whether through a web app or another agreed-upon means.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We are very pleased and excited to continue working with Taylor and her team. The biggest things they bring to the table are great energy, a positive attitude, and a focus on getting results.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only thing I would say is to clarify objectives on day one. There was a bit of a learning curve for us, but I wouldn’t say that’s all on SHE Advisors. We were just learning how to collaborate. That’s the only feedback I have.

Define a clear scope of work.

We needed someone to create a platform within my integration software to increase the efficiency of our business and essentially, the ROI.

SHE Advisors are developing the platform from scratch and they are also responsible for its content.

I believed we work with 2–3 members of their team.

How did you come to work with SHE Advisors?

It was through LinkedIn and referrals. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about $8,000–10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing partnership started in June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They increased the closing rate of the deals we make from 30% to almost 60%. They also increased our presence in the community.

How did SHE Advisors perform from a project management standpoint?

We have meetings at least once a week. They keep a pretty open line of communication, so at any point in time, at any given day, you can just pull up the metrics and know exactly where they are and what they’re working on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

For the organization part of it, they keep everything crystal clear to where we are and where we need to go to achieve the goal.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice would be to get a good idea of what their goals are. If you know what they are, SHE Advisors can help you achieve them quickly.
