Britenet’s customer service and flexibility to deliver according to our needs is impressive. The team also proactively integrates and learns our projects and programs, which makes it easier for everyone to stay on the same page. Overall, they’re always there to help us succeed.

I’m the VP of software for a company that manufactures and develops fabric printers. We’re in the t-shirt printing market, and we also print on white fabric. I’m developing the OS for those printers.

We searched for recruiting partners and found nine companies in Europe. We interviewed them and liked Britenet’s way of working the most. The team was very professional, and we felt they were the best fit for us.

We’ve been working with Britenet for approximately two years, and our engagement is ongoing.

I’m very satisfied with the results of our engagement. Britenet has recruited high-quality developers, and when someone doesn’t meet the required qualifications, we ask the team to recruit a different person. 

Britenet has helped us establish a professional and knowledgeable team with talented developers. We’ve found developers in all areas that we’ve searched for. We’ve had a few glitches that the development team has quickly fixed and addressed. 

How did Britenet perform from a project management standpoint?

We work based on time and material rather than on a project-based approach. Britenet recruits professionals, and I pay on a monthly basis. We tried working on a project-based approach, but it didn’t work out well, not because of Britenet, but because we didn’t define the scope clearly since the start. 

We have weekly and quarterly meetings, and Britenet doesn’t feel like an outsourced team — they work as if they’re part of our team. Britenet is part of our success.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Britenet is very open and has fixed every issue we’ve had. Britenet has supported our US team too, which is in a different time zone. The team is very cooperative, and we’re improving as we go.

I can’t think of anything for Britenet to improve — we’re satisfied with their work.

I recommend potential customers to build a personal relationship with Britenet. Initially, we met with Britenet’s team in person, which allowed us to establish a good personal relationship, which is important. I also recommend using a time and material approach when working with Britenet.

The Data Warehouse was built on the Microsoft and Pentaho platforms using the following tools:

• SQL Server Database 2017
• Pentaho Data Integration 8.3
• Microsoft Excel
• Power BI

The project included: analytical work, design of the Data Warehouse architecture, preparation of the Data Integration Layer and Data Warehouse in the relational model and analytical structures in Microsoft Power BI technology, as well as production of analytical and technical documentation.

Pentaho Data Integration was used as an ETL tool. The system consists of 3 main layers and several intermediate layers. The project also included the production of a Retention Report in the Microsoft PowerBI reporting tool.

The data sources from which the Warehouse retrieves Data and provides access for TEB Akademia are: CRM, SKS, dictionary files in Excel file format.

The way Britenet was involved in the project deserves special appreciation. They made us feel as if Britenet specialists were simply an extension of our own team - they understood the business, and were as focused on results as we were.

We needed help building a customer portal that wasn’t just an e-shop but could also allow our clients to communicate with us. The portal should enable clients to place orders and check the status of our cooperation. Our existing platform was built 15 years ago, so its features were obsolete. Therefore, we wanted to develop a new site using new technology and needed a company with experience in that field.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Britenet is building our customer portal. Initially, we provided them with some documentation, the services we offer, and our idea; the solution needed to be modern and user-friendly. Together, we decided on how to build the site and how it should look through conversations. First, they built an MVP with a few features for our clients to check if the solution was acceptable for them. Britenet has launched several modules for our clients, and they’re developing more features.

In our business, we receive a lot of virtual attacks, so cybersecurity is important. We use Microsoft tools such as Microsoft Azure to secure the solution, and Britenet has helped us choose solutions from there. We’ve also had external checks with several third parties to test how these solutions can prevent attacks. 

The portal’s main features include order placing, pricing, and visibility. We provide transportation through roads and rails and also offer logistics, and the site includes order placement for each area. Britenet has also built a 24-hour pricing feature that wasn’t available on our previous platform. Currently, they provide hosting and maintenance services for the portal.

We have three development teams from Britenet, with about four teammates each. Additionally, we work with two project managers, 3–4 analytics teammates, two architects, testers, and a support team.

I’m unsure where we found them because I joined the project when Britenet was already our partner. The company searched in our market, and after several meetings, they chose Britenet because they were the best solution for us and used the newest technologies.

We started working together in November 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

The MVP has been a game-changer; our clients really appreciate its features. The solution makes our services look better and offers new opportunities, which our clients appreciate. Thanks to this success, we've decided to have Britenet develop the next features. 

How did Britenet perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver mostly on time, though sometimes there are minor delays. Britenet always helps us if we have a critical issue or changes we need right away. Overall, our cooperation is really good, as is our relationship.

Moreover, our communication is good and transparent. We have three status meetings a week, where we discuss daily work. We also use Microsoft Teams to chat; if we need to decide anything, we use this tool instead of waiting for a meeting. If there's an urgent matter, we call each other. 

They use Jira for project management, where they put all their assigned tasks, and we can see the status of each of them. We can also create tasks for the team on Jira, such as tickets and change requests. Internally, we use ClickUp for project management. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Before this, we didn't have experience with this kind of solution, and Britenet has led us and shown us how we could build it. They've provided a great team to analyze our needs and provide solutions. Not every IT company can give such insight; most want the client to tell them how they should build something. Britenet has shared their know-how perfectly. 

Additionally, I appreciate the atmosphere of our collaboration; we work as friends, not as provider-and-customer. At meetings, we discuss things and laugh together. We can always count on Britenet, no matter what — I sleep well because I know they're keeping the solution going.

I can't think of anything they need to improve; I'm really satisfied.

For what projects/services did your company hire Britenet, and what were your goals?

For Scheidt & Bachmann Fare Collection Systems Britenet did a series of projects on extending the front-end of a system utilizing IOT & Data Warehouse technology together with a database API development. The main challenges were to develop and implement the functionality of the push notification service using a SMS and e-mail gateways, develop a database API on Mulesoft for improving the database performance and to introduce or improve visualization in the user interface of the status of the devices or their components. The solution included designing of data models for notifications and device statuses, development of a set of web services from the scratch, as well as user interfaces for configuration of notifications and assignments of status types to the users. Enhance product functionality, f.e. one goal of the project was to streamline service, operations, and increase the fluidity of transmitted data. Thanks to the implemented solutions , we were able to streamline the way of sharing information about the current and predicted status of equipment in the field for station managers, service groups and technicians who keep equipment running at all times.This has a direct impact on the speed of response of technicians in emergency situations, whose job is to ensure the continuity of work.

We divided the whole project into parts - smaller projects. The first part of our project with Britenet was a pilot part. We wanted to check whether the contractor would live up to our requirements, the stipulations of the contract regarding the completion date, which was one of the key challenges. The purpose of such a division was to check the quality and manner of cooperation, which we evaluate very positively. Timeliness, high quality of delivered solutions, professional advice and openness to the customer's requirements and comments confirmed us that Britenet is a worthy partner to undertake further orders.

The solutions were implemented within the required timeframe and commissioned with very positive feedback. The high quality of the service is confirmed by a small number of production errors and a small number of errors at the test level. All comments we directed to the Britenet team were considered and analyzed in detail. We paid particular attention to the high work culture and speed of response from the team.

We used Jira, which Scheidt & Bachmann had access to, to communicate about the progress of the work. We were able to track and verify project progress in real time. The Britenet team worked in the programming periods of several weeks (depending on the requirements), and we solved problems on an ongoing basis at the Project Manager and Project Owner level on the side of S&B and dev leader Britenet. Each project had some time left over to correct additional production bugs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Britenet has fulfilled the contract in an exemplary manner. Professionalism, commitment, good communication, timeliness and expertise of the company's employees made it possible to create solutions that meet our requirements.

Subsequently, we learned about the ongoing Nonprofit Cloud implementations that Britenet had already completed. The implementation assumed the use of standard Salesforce functionalities - which allowed to reduce/eliminate the cost of maintaining the system (in the case of custom solutions, every now and then there may be the necessity to update the created functionalities/components - for the foundation, which does not have the resources for such projects, this is a good solution).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The most important goal that has been achieved by implementing Salesforce in our organization is to speed up the office work of employees. From the testing phase of the application, employees emphasized its ease of use, simplicity and intuitiveness. The tool was tailored to our needs and designed according to our guidelines.

In addition, we noticed that the process of introducing new employees to the system's operation was significantly shortened due to comprehensive documentation that is easy to understand for non-technical people. Most of our employees use Salesforce in their work, and we see here the significant improvement in the quality and transparency of the databases in which we navigate.

Cooperation with Britenet was very good from the very beginning. We had a lot of concerns because we are not the classic business customer or commercial company, but since the first meeting we felt great understanding from Britenet. The whole team is very open and understanding, we felt listened to and understood - this was one very important aspect of our cooperation.

Britenet is the professional company that puts the customer at the forefront - his needs, goals and processes. As a result, throughout our cooperation we felt that it was the product that was being customized for us, and not the other way around - we to the product. The end result is the tool that realistically helps us in our daily work. The main aim of the project was to improve the existing processes related to establishing cooperation with employers, especially facilitating internal and external communication.

We heard about Britenet as a Salesforce partner who is engaged in Nonprofit Cloud implementations. We had a very positive impression after the first meeting, where we learned a lot about Salesforce and how this tool can improve the work of our organization.

The project was divided into three phases - discovery, implementation and user acceptance testing together with end user training. Each phase was planned and led by the Britenet team. Main modules included in the scope of the project were:

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

One of the most important areas that has improved significantly is the efficiency reporting process, which has been shortened thanks to its automation. The solution has been implemented and put into production with positive feedback. A few months after going live, there is a need to extend the implemented system with new functionalities, so the next phase of the project is being considered.

The Britenet team was very involved in the entire implementation process from the discovery phase to the last days of hypercare. The time of meetings was always adjusted to the availability of our team. The questions, problems or doubts reported by us were solved in a very short time.

During the implementation phase and after it, we had the opportunity to make changes to the system on an ongoing basis based on feedback received from our end users. The Britenet team has shown full commitment to preparing a solution at the highest level.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Britenet is a unique company on the IT market that shows full commitment to ongoing projects. The solutions proposed by the company put the customer and end users in the first place. At each stage of cooperation with Britenet, we could experience full professionalism in terms of both communication and technical knowledge. What also stands out is the sense of responsibility for the tasks entrusted to them and the ability to carry them out regardless of emerging challenges (technical or business).

We are satisfied with the overall cooperation with Britenet and we do not see any elements that we would like to change.

I am IT Manager responsible for Development and Maintenance of IT applications landscape in Insurance Company in Poland.

We decided to unify, clean and organize Customer data by introducing well defined and GDPR compliant Central Customer Database with Web application for data management and client servicing purposes. Our goal was mainly to increase efficiency and pace of work, make GDPR requests and its procesess' seamless and provide other systems with best quality customer data. With delivered products and Britenet's support we managed to make a big step towards Data Driven Company.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

It was standard RFI/RFP process of selection. There were around 5 bidders in the process. Main criteria of selection: experience in Insurance, openness and flexibility and price. One of the factors was also already built trust to the Vendor in previous projects.

The project consisted of demanding analytical phase, designinig and building database structures and loading data for the purpose of marketing campaigns in Salesforce CRM. Apart from building central customer database and popullating it, there was one additional, important feature to create: GDPR compliant marketing campaigns execution.

The vendor was responsible also for:

• selection and creation of data metrics for key objects to be used by Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Designing the Data Model, which is a model for building marketing campaigns
• Designing interfaces with external suppliers (Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
• Implementation of the above models in the existing customer environment

Vendor's team consisted of Project Manager and 10 IT specialists including Systems Architect, Developers and Testers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It is operations efficiency that has been improved while meeting all GDPR requirements. The solution added a new value to customer service. Standardization and unification of data allowed to shorten time of searching and collecting them. New solution revealed actual status of data quality and supports it’s improvement.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We’ve really liked cooperation with Britenet, which is really Agile, not only by means of using Agile methodology, but having agility in it's DNA and passing it on to the Client. Team used SCRUM approach, we worked in sprints and had weekly meetings to verify the progress. Overall a great cooperation between vendor's and client's team, which resulted in keeping on track budget and meet timeline. Britenet demonstrated a very high level of commitment both in terms of the delivery of the subject matter of the contract and in the way they collaborated and communicated, despite changing requirements. We used in the project Attlasian Collaboration tools.

Britenet has an open minded and client-oriented approach. They are flexible, but on the other hand they control the project and Client’s new ideas in reasonable and achievable shape, backing by their experience.

Rather not, probably preliminary analysis could be more detailed and better documented but in Agile this is how it works.
