For what projects/services did your company hire Britenet, and what were your goals?

Needed a team of experienced JAVA/Web technologies to evaluate requirements, then design and develop a new software product needed by the company. The main reason to hire Britenet was the shortage of in-house resources having core skillsets needed for the project.

How did you select Britenet and what were the deciding factors?

Britent had already been my company's partner. Moreover, they were able to meet specific organisational needs of the project, i.e. augment the existing team in every position, staring from a technical lead thru developers and testers to integrators.

The project was successful. The product has been in production for a few years now and demand is growing.

Britenet's resources have been embedded in teams managed by my company. However, we have been very pleased with the performance of all Britenet's resources we have been provided with. Needless to say, our cooperation has been ongoing for almost a decade.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Resources as well as consulting services provided has always been accurately selected and tailored for our needs. Very prompt and adequate responses in case of crisis situations, including urgent needs for additional resources/skillsets. Very good relationship with Britente representatives and management.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing that I can think of now.

I am the CEO of a bespoke financial services company specializing in facilitating investors wishing to buy, transfer, and store in facilities that we offer in different jurisdictions around the world.

What challenge were you trying to address with Britenet?

They were hired as an IT consultant to assist us in developing additional functionality for our systems and give us guidance in terms of that development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We work with them in a general IT advisory role, so at a high level, they essentially answer any kind of technical questions around IT strategy for anything either client-facing or with regard to our internal operations. From there, they also help to develop the specific technology tools and automations that we decided on together.

The bulk of their expertise is in Salesforce environments, so they do a lot of PHP programming for the backend of our website in particular, as well as downstream system connections in terms of market data, credit card processing, and other system connections that we’re looking to implement.

What was the team composition?

We have two members of their team interacting with us on the day-to-day, and they bring other subject matter experts from different departments in from there to handle specific tasks and questions.

How did you come to work with Britenet?

I was working with another company in Eastern Europe about four years ago and decided to change to someone with more of a focus on Salesforce. I searched for different partners in that area online, including on Clutch, and came across several options of which Britenet ended up being the winning choice for me.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost has been around $80,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2019 and are continuing to do so today.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of work that we deliver is very good, and I have points of direct comparison on that because I’ve worked with a lot of other companies. They consistently deliver some of the most superb work I’ve seen over all of that time.

For instance, at one point we had a security concern from a previous developer, and they brought it to our attention, responded extremely quickly, and had the entire issue taken care of before there was even a chance to actually lose any data from the problem. Their hour rates are very fair, and we haven’t had any issues in that regard at all.

How did Britenet perform from a project management standpoint?

I went to Poland and met with their whole team when we first started working together, and they are all very sharp, young, amicable, and professional. They have absolutely no staff turnover as well, which is fantastic and very unusual for this kind of firm. But because they focus on areas like that, the experience of working with them is that much more seamless and you can get to the bottom of things that much more quickly.

Their team is incredibly lean, so they don’t have a dedicated project manager, but I think that actually helps them to maintain the agile process and keep communication and development work moving as quickly as possible. The fact that they are as motivated as they are to deliver wins quickly means that they really don’t need that more formal management component.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been most impressed by how perfectly they combine the seriousness with which they take their work, the youth and enthusiasm that they bring to it as well, and the technical skill that they have in almost any area we bring to them. They have taken a keen interest in our business model and I think it helps them to see us as a partner rather than just a number or another client.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think I would like to see a little bit more in terms of redundancies. That is a double-edged sword, so I understand why they try to stay away from it, but since they have a relatively lean staff I do wonder what would happen if certain members went on holiday and how that could potentially affect our processing time.

It would be nice to see a backup developer involved every once in a while, just to know that there’s someone familiar with our account able to take over if we ever need them to.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

As with any outsourced company, communication is absolutely key. I think it’s a good idea to do some small projects at first to test the waters and see how you operate together, and if things go well then you can engage more fully with them.
