We needed a new website for to showcase current and upcoming residential/condo projects that we were developing. The goal was to present project information to clients along with company history and details.

We conducted program to review several leading website developers based on team structure, prior project experience, and customer references.

They presented a concept for our review based on key results/goals of the website that we presented to them. After several review and update meetings they delivered a draft website that we ultimately accepted with a few minor adjustments.

After launch of the new website we experienced a significant surge in traffic along with increased unit sales that we felt were tied to the strength of the new website.

We had weekly scheduled review calls where we were updated on progress and had opportunity for input. The style was collaborative and we felt very informed on the process and comfortable with the timeline of development. The website was launched on time and on budget.

Their strength and depth of experience really impressed us. We did not feel it was struggle to work with them and were very please with the results.

I’m the founder of Vapzone, an organization that delivers online educational services. The website is an extension on the base of the page I use for my cryptocurrency trade.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brilliant IT?

I needed to organize and automate my cryptocurrency trade attempts and the approaches to the analysis that I was trying to implement as they weren’t available on the existing platforms. If they were available, they were spread around those different trading platforms.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Brilliant IT helped me automate the process of collecting data from my different market accounts in one place and organize the analysis of this data according to my requirements, not the way proposed by the market. Initially, I gave them a clear outline of what I needed, including the exact technical background. It involved data collection through an API key, which organized the data with how every coin had to be structured for the information I wanted to collect.

Also, I gave them a list of requirements for the analysis. We could take the calculation of the average price per coin from my purchases and the prediction according to the set parameters. For example, it’d take the percentage of price decrease or increase and the prediction of the moment and price when it was reasonable to buy or sell. This prediction would emerge as a signal organized as a table, either colored or explicitly popping up as a message, depending on the type of signal that worked out of the list. There was a list of conditions for each signal and their interpretations. Brilliant IT’s job was to organize this and send me automatic messages on the phone and an email when any of the signals were activated.

The platform was a market data collection and technical analysis for cryptocurrency. The point was to collect data and organize the analysis, which would automatically inform me about the particular situations I was interested in tracing. It was a universal instrument; I could add any cryptocurrency I wanted. Then, it would automatically trace it in my wallet and start collecting information. For example, if I bought a new coin, I’d enter its name, and it’d read the data and collect all the orders through Binance, the main platform. Then, it’d buy and sell, collect the current information about the currency whenever I refreshed the page, and analyze through the algorithms that had been set according to my requirements. As it was a subspace in my existing portal, I required them to organize it in a more secure way than the original one.

What is the team composition?

I communicated with two people, but as far as I know, two additional programmers worked on the project.

How did you come to work with Brilliant IT?

I’d worked with them on a previous project. I heard about them several years ago, as they were located in my home city. They started providing website development and were well advertised. One day, I simply walked into their office and liked how they approached me as a client. It was comfortable in terms of communication, and I couldn't find a reason to say no. With them, I was able to check everything off my list. Since I was satisfied with our first cooperation, I decided to work with them again on this project. I only questioned if they could do it because it involved crypto.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent around $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on this project from March–August 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They definitely made it much more convenient. I now have my own data system, and there’s that customization because they built the platform the way I wanted. I have a feeling of control in the way that I do trading now. The time that I use the actual platforms does not exceed 50%, but most of my analysis of my work with coins is based on their platform.

How did Brilliant IT perform from a project management standpoint?

We set the timelines from the beginning, and they didn’t attempt to push things back. They were perfect with deadlines; I didn’t have to think about it, push them, or remind them because I knew they’d fulfill them.

We communicated over WeChat and had a group chat where they’d post any details or questions they had. With the time difference, it wasn’t always possible to have an immediate response, but I could review and reply when I had time. Additionally, we had video calls through WeChat.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don’t have considerable experience to compare them to others, but they were generally very flexible. Even though it was in my interest to answer all their questions and give them details, I wasn’t overwhelmed with the details, requests, or questions. At first, we had a long conversation discussing all the details I listed and what I meant by that. Since that time, our collaboration was relaxed. I didn’t feel like they pushed me or took up my time by involving me in my project. They were independent, but at the same time, I could see their work and progress. They tried to understand my needs as best as possible by asking me for essential details.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I didn’t have any concerns or questions. I never felt I wanted to contact their management. The price could’ve been a little lower, but I had more trust in them than with other companies I’ve worked with.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d recommend them without any hesitation. They’re reliable and independent. If you outline your expectations early, they’ll save you time and deliver the project the way you want it. They’ll still help you clarify those expectations; they won’t just take your requirements, run away, and then come back with something you didn’t actually want. They’ll explain, help you understand what exactly you want, and support you to have your project the way you imagine it. Overall, you have to be accessible to them because they’ll try to align all the details with your needs, which means they’ll have to reassess your needs throughout the different stages of the project.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brilliant IT?

Our company mainly does lower technical tasks like simple websites. When we have more complex projects, we outsource for higher technical expertise. We had a client in the restaurant industry who was doing their invoices through a system that tracks all technical activity. They wanted to process their invoices to ensure all their payments were fulfilled, including employee salaries. The system needed to power several restaurants, and our client wanted it to gather all invoices from Airtable and get them imported into payment technology.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Brilliant IT did research and then built a database. They also developed an ecosystem that gathers all the APIs. We made a script that ran every night at 3 a.m. and posted it on the cloud using DigitalOcean. Brilliant IT created a droplet for us in DigitalOcean so the script would run and import the invoices into Airtable.

They were referred to us. We chose Brilliant IT because they were Ukrainian like us and had a great experience in databases and backend.

Our client was happy with the system Brillian IT created. Now, they're able to do something that used to take three days in half a day. We’re hoping to work with Brilliant IT again.
