They've helped us with software development, designing and developing the backend and IT infrastructure from scratch. The team has built the backbone of our product and coded it to pick up data, do firmware updates, and display information on a dashboard in real time.

They're using AWS technologies, including MQTT, AWS Lambda for serverless functionalities, Amazon Cognito for user management, and DynamoDB. They also use React for frontend development and Amazon S3 for file storage.

Brash Inc. has been absolutely phenomenal. We're still in the beta phase, but everybody has been pleased with the UI design and the data we're getting.

They're always on time and communicate well. The team is always asking for feedback and is open to it. They're willing to listen and understand what we need. They manage the project using Jira, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.

Our customers are very happy with the product. Brash Inc. has been able to make design iterations and changes according to our requests. Working in an iterative process has been very good for us because our team is picky, and Brash Inc. has been nice about doing those changes. I'm highly motivated to work with Brash Inc. again in the future. 

How did Brash Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Brash Inc.'s project management is excellent. The team is good at managing expectations and delivering work on time. Our project is simple, and we communicate through email and Zoom every couple of months.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I want to highlight Rohan's work. He has made the process easy for us and is very understanding. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

When creating a new product, we can approach the problem from an engineering or design perspective. Brash Inc. is very good at design thinking, which is the winning approach. I came into the project thinking I needed to design a unique packaging, but Brash Inc. made me realize I needed to create an experience. 

Brash Inc. is good at finding the root cause of what we're trying to do, similar to what I do with my patients. For instance, when a patient consults me to lose weight, I ask them 10 questions to find their root motivation. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't have any negative feedback for Brash Inc. — they've done a great job. My only suggestion for the team is to be more visible. I found Brash Inc. through a referral, but if the team created social media accounts on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, that would probably help them. I suggest Brash Inc. improves their brand visibility because they're amazing.

I'm the founder of Numbered Tech, Inc., a business revolving around the hobby of sports trading cards.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brash Inc.?

We needed help with mobile app development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We've worked pretty closely with Brash Inc. to develop our first product: a mobile app for both iOS and Android. A good portion of our initial interactions were based on them getting a good idea of what I was after. Since then, they've worked with my ideas to figure out what is actually available to be implemented, which has been crucial.

Brash Inc. has used Figma to conceptualize the product. We've also talked about using other services. However, we've tried some technologies that haven't necessarily met our needs.

The people behind baseball trading cards come with a new product every year, which includes some old players and some brand-new players. With this mobile app, we want to provide a UI/UX feature for card checklists, putting a spin on the checklist content that we consider looks better.

Our app's second and probably biggest feature is the Super Tracker, which allows the community to keep track of the cards that they've pulled. Every year, they launch really high-value cards, some of which are one-of-a-kind, so collectors try to keep an eye on those.

Currently, information about those special cards is scattered across social media. Thus, we wanted to develop a way to take all those findings from social media and allow our entire user base to create a dynamic checklist. On this list, would be able to see the cards that are still available and the cards that have already been pulled out by others. That way, if a collector is after a specific card, they can stop buying packs if the said card has already been pulled out.

Our plan is to connect users together. However, we can't do that with the first iteration of this product.

What is the team composition?

I've worked a lot with Aliasgar (Managing Partner & Engineering Lead) and Rohan (Managing Partner & Industrial Design Lead), especially during the initial stages of development.

Based on my needs, Brash Inc. has assembled a team of three members, including Cameron (Software Lead), Cole (Full Stack Developer), who has been in charge of the frontend development and integration with all the key services, and Jaclyn (Junior Industrial Designer), who has worked on the UI/UX design and implementation.

How did you come to work with Brash Inc.?

We found them online after doing some Google searching. Clutch was part of our search, but we also looked at freelancer profiles and other review sites before hiring them.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent roughly $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around August 2023, and our engagement is ongoing. The first iteration of our app is basically complete. However, we're still making minor tweaks and edits. I'll keep working with them post-launch as well.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Brash Inc. has definitely met our expectations, and they've even exceeded them in multiple parts of the project. For me, it was a long battle to decide who I would eventually choose to do this project. Choosing Brash Inc. was a big leap of faith, but I now feel good about having chosen them.

How did Brash Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project has consisted of open dialog and communication. We've set up milestone meetings to discuss the project and see how everything is working. We've also discussed constraints, and I've asked for help with the development aspects of the project.

I'm good with technology, but I don't have the development skills needed to create this app on my own. Thus, part of our engagement has consisted of figuring out the concept for this app and what was possible and attainable within the budget available. We've also compared what I have in my head to what technologies are available out there to see what we can use.

Overall, our communication has been relatively seamless, and everything has been always on time. The project has been managed really well. This isn't a full-time commitment for me; it's more like a passion-driven side project. Still, Brash Inc. has been great to work with around my schedule.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I want to congratulate the whole Brash Inc. team. Everyone has been great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Due to some time constraints on my end, we've ended up pushing the launch deadline a little further. However, we're ready to launch this solution to the stores. We've had a small issue regarding the budget, but it has been completely resolved.

Based on our initial meetings, some of the biggest requirements I had for this project ended up being more time-consuming than originally planned. However, we've worked very closely on some creative solutions around the budget, and I'm very happy with the end product.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Don't be afraid to ask questions and talk about your ideas during the initial stages. Once Brash Inc. understands your vision and is involved in it with passion, they can truly take a small idea, make it blossom, and bring it to fruition. Overall, they're great to work with.

I’m the VP of R&D for an early-stage seed-round biotech company.

We were at one of the foundational stages of trying to validate our technology, which involved a  chemistry and hardware component. Our objective was to develop an MVP to allow our customers and potential customers to validate our technologies for their various applications. 

We needed to rapidly convert what we had into something more presentable with touchscreen UI and other features. We hired Brash Inc. to convert what we had into a crisper and more user-friendly platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We gave Brash Inc. a set of user requirements, and they were responsible for creating hardware with a user-friendly interface. They also have a mechanical engineer who has added a bit of flair to the MVP. I believe the key technologies include Python, C#, Arduino, and React Native. The MVP is completed for the most part, but we plan on working with Brash Inc. for the next 6–12 months for follow-up work.

The entire team we work with has been impressive. Everyone works quickly to provide what we need, and they solve issues quickly. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We think they could have done a better job of testing the product before the release. Some of the items didn’t work, and it would have been nice if those pieces had been validated before they were handed off.

Be precise and accurate with your user and product requirements. Know what you want, need, and why you’re trying to create your product to be successful.

I'm the CEO of Veba Baby. Our company has created a device that alerts parents when breastmilk or formula is no longer fresh or safe for consumption. The device can be attached to the baby bottle and accompanies an app that provides parents with the necessary information.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brash Inc.?

I experienced the pain points, saw the opportunity, and had ideas on paper. I partnered with Brash Inc. to bring my vision to life.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Since our product development journey began, Brash Inc. has been an invaluable asset. They were responsible for developing the firmware, which included hard coding, algorithms, and computing capabilities. In addition, they also provided coding for the backend and frontend development of the app, along with creating the UX/UI experience for our users.

I collaborated with an industrial designer from their team to create the product's visual design. Together, we conducted a brainstorming and ideation session to determine the optimal appearance and functionality of the product, as well as how it should be attached to the bottle.

Additionally, they've provided me with operational assistance. We're currently in the final phase of production. Being in the hardware sector, I needed multiple manufacturers to build the product. Luckily, Brash Inc. had established connections with manufacturers globally and facilitated introductions.

How did you come to work with Brash Inc.?

At first, I had an idea and started searching for a team to bring my vision to fruition. I had meetings with different companies, but I didn't feel I could trust them. I was in a rut and needed to find the right direction to move forward.

I met with a former colleague who had previously collaborated with Brash Inc. After our conversation, I learned that although they're not based in the US, they have locations in Toronto and Chicago. He assured me there would be no issues and I wouldn't experience any difficulty working with them. Thanks to his recommendation, I secured my first call with Brash Inc.; the rest is history.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

For the product's design on its own, we received an award for our industrial design. We are receiving praise for this product's visually appealing and forward-thinking design. 

Our business has gained momentum, as evidenced by my acceptance into Techstars, an accelerator program affiliated with J.P. Morgan. 

After sharing what the product does and the technology behind it, I already landed J.P. Morgan as an investor in our product before we launched. That is very telling of how successful and strong this product is. Brash Inc. was the company that told me about Techstars, and to apply and get in was amazing.

We received preorders for our product three months before its launch. Many of the features were developed by collaborating with Brash Inc and identifying additional factors to consider in the product. The fact that we secured preorders so early is a strong indication of people's excitement and confidence in the quality of our product.

How did Brash Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Overall, I'm thrilled with the project management aspect of the relationship. We were mutually transparent when it came to deadlines. Brash Inc. was consistently proactive in informing me of any changes to the timeline and overall roadmap. They are solid in communication and proactivity.

When building a product, surprises are inevitable. However, throughout our journey, Brash Inc. has maintained constant communication and prioritized managing my expectations as a client. Although we did encounter some obstacles, their commitment to our relationship made the process smoother.

Outside of communicating via email, we had weekly standup meetings to check in on the project. Our team had a WhatsApp group consisting of myself, my COO, the lead industrial designer, and the mechanical engineer. That allowed us to easily update each other and maintain transparency with Brash Inc. Communication was always open and accessible.

They've supported me throughout the manufacturing process and provided guidance every step of the way. They've been tremendous partners in ensuring I felt confident with the manufacturers.

The team at Brash Inc. is highly skilled and knowledgeable in their field, with numerous patents and success stories from their past clients. This clearly shows their expertise in the industry. Whenever I think of the meaning of expertise, Brash Inc. comes to mind. They instill confidence in their decisions, leaving no room for uncertainty.

The team excels at managing relationships. Their ability to quickly establish trust sets them apart from others. At times, it seemed they weren't a third-party entity, but an extension of my team due to the trust and strong bond we formed.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Brash Inc. has helped with all aspects of getting my company and product off the ground, including the pros and cons of different directions. They’ve been a one-stop shop for us.

Initially, I reached out to Rohan (Managing Partner & Industrial Design Lead) and explained my patent-pending idea. I drew a rough sketch of what I saw in my head, but I’m not an artist. I noted the key points, including what I wanted the product to do and look like. 

Brash Inc. has created a working prototype after a couple of iterations that is different from what we started with. The technology doesn’t exist yet to design the product exactly as I envisioned it. The team will continue developing the product once we raise the needed funds.

They’ve also helped us choose a new name for our company, and they’ve written a tagline and designed a logo. We’ve had a lot of meetings to discuss the logo design and product color scheme. Brash Inc. has explained the meaning of various colors and helped me figure out what the product should look and feel like. 

Brash Inc. has designed and developed a mobile app using Figma and TestFlight. They’ve also created an informational website from scratch using Wix to support our crowdfunding efforts. The site has 3–4 pages, including a landing page, with information about the founders and the product’s functionality and specifications. Brash Inc. has walked me through some development steps, but I’m ultimately more interested in the result. The site is hosted on GoDaddy.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Brash Inc. has exceeded my expectations. They’ve taken ownership of the project, which has turned out great. They’ve created a great tagline. The website is straightforward and has a great landing page; we still use that site today.

The project is 90–95% complete and has gone as we needed. They’ve taken my idea, a super bulky phone case, and made a product that’s about as thin as two credit cards. The camera is light, and the functionality is presentable for pitches to investors.

How did Brash Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

The partnership has been seamless; Brash Inc. understands the assignment and has been great to work with. 

I haven’t had any issues with them meeting deadlines; if anything has affected the scheduling, they’ve communicated that.

They’ve communicated well. They’re in Canada, and we’re in the US, so we’ve relied on various technologies. At the beginning of the project, we had Zoom calls every two weeks; then, we started having one call a week. Eventually, we moved to two calls a week. We also use email and phone calls; anytime I call, they answer. We have a shared Dropbox to send videos and pictures. Our calendars are also linked to each other.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They immediately understood my goals and my budget. They’ve gone above and beyond and worked with me to arrange flexible payment structures. I’ve never felt the need to look for support outside of Brash Inc.; they’ve been our backbone.

Be honest about your budget and what you want. Brash Inc. is there to bring your project to life, and they’ll give you the best of the best if you communicate expectations. They’re very approachable.

I’m the founder and CEO of OTIS Dental, Inc., a company providing custom night cards to patients suffering from stress-induced bruxism. We’re also developing a sensor technology that records the compression force data and uses it to help alleviate the patient’s symptoms.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brash Inc.?

We wanted to provide our patients with education, tips, and exercises for both oral and mental health. By helping them with their mental health, we wanted them to lower their stress levels, ultimately helping them alleviate their teeth clenching and grinding symptoms.

Therefore, we decided to create an app as a free add-on product to our custom night cards to provide patients with those resources and help them monitor their oral and mental health. Still, we needed help with mobile app development, so we hired Brash Inc.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Brash Inc. has worked closely with me to develop the mobile app we needed. Initially, we only told them what we wanted to do with the app and what we hoped to accomplish for our customer base, and they took it from there.

After that, Brash Inc. focused on the app design, creating the entire blueprint and all the pages using Figma. Then, they developed the app for iOS and Android, which we recently launched. Since then, we’ve been working with Brash Inc. on developing the sensor technology we ideated for our business.

Brash Inc. has suggested integrating a feedback section within the app so that we can gather feedback as we continue to grow. That way, we’ll be able to know things our customers want that our app might be missing so that we can improve it over time and launch new versions to heighten our overall platform.

How did you come to work with Brash Inc.?

I started my company in 2017. A year later, when I submitted the sensor technology for our company to the patent office, I started looking for a partner who could actually help me build that technology. Thus, I started searching through my network and came across Richard on LinkedIn, so I reached out to him.

From the initial consultation, Brash Inc.’s service was fantastic. Initially, I told Richard what I wanted, what our company did, and what our goals for the app were. He was very professional, transparent, knowledgeable, and responsive to our input and the goals of the project.

Additionally, Richard demonstrated outstanding expertise, especially in dental engineering. Brash Inc. had several patents of their own, and several doctors had worked with them before. I actually spoke to some of those dentists, and they had nothing but amazing things to say about him.

Although we recently launched the app, I’ve been amazed at how well it’s performing so far; users are very happy with it. Moreover, Brash Inc. has ensured that the app is user-friendly and aesthetically aligned with our branding, matching our brand colors.

We’ve been very pleased with the app that we’ve continued working with Brash Inc. on the sensor technology project. Thus far, they’ve made great progress in that project.

How did Brash Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Throughout the entire process, Brash Inc. has always been available to answer our questions, which have been many because I was initially unfamiliar with the terminology and technology. They’re always eager to educate me and help me understand the technology. Additionally, Brash Inc. always provides us with updates on the progress, and they’ve delivered everything on time.

Their communication skills have been top-notch. I’ve never felt left in the dark about anything that’s happening, and if I ever have a question, they’re very responsive and easy to reach out to.

Brash Inc. has basically guided me throughout the entire process, which is something I had never experienced working when with other companies. This approach has been very reassuring because I have a lot of other things on my plate, so Brash Inc. has truly taken the lead on this project.

Brash Inc. has also taken the time to understand our business and goals throughout the various meetings we’ve had every week. During those meetings, they’ve even offered suggestions to help us improve the app. Their team initially created a Slack account for us so that we could communicate more efficiently. Additionally, they’ve given me access to Figma so that I can review their work and leave comments.

I’m the founder of IDLETAC, a company that develops and delivers next-generation badge wallets and off-duty accessories to first responders around the world.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Brash Inc. designed and developed a new badge wallet for us. The team took our idea and created a prototype, then refined the design for manufacturing, and finally assisted us during the manufacturing process to get our first shipment.

Someone referred Brash Inc. to us. We chose them because they had high ratings, were close to our geographic location, had a great culture fit, and offered good value for the cost.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September 2024–August 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Brash Inc. delivered a great prototype, and we’re now selling the completed and manufactured version with few complaints on quality or craftsmanship from customers. We’ve had several reviews praising the underlying engineering of the product and its innovative features.

How did Brash Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Brash Inc. delivered as best as they could. As a new company, we could’ve been more clear on some of our expectations. Despite the project taking longer than expected, it was due to issues on our end. The team was clear about timelines.

We communicated via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and emails or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I loved the in-person meetings, which allowed us to describe our needs and work through the small things that make a good product with the engineers. I appreciated that Brash Inc. took the time to understand our specific niche. They understood the everyday difference between the perception from movies and reality of badge wallets.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Brash Inc. did what they could to manage my expectations throughout the project. I’m not a designer or business executive by trade, and although I wanted lots of updates, I know it’s not always feasible.
