We’re a private school that offers recovery and/or original credit to students to earn credit outside of their additional courses at school, so that they can either graduate on time or early. We also work with a rehab treatment center to help students keep up with their credits while they’re in our program. They sometimes graduate through us or go back home to finish there.

We were moving our database. We wanted to keep our information updated and simplify our processes.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Brainvire helped us program our Odoo database so that we’re now able to create assessments based on a student’s transcript. This is for our treatment center and adult-ed students whose class has already graduated, but they want to earn their adult high school diploma. We take their transcript, cross-reference it with what they’ve already earned and what’s required, and then determine what credits they need to earn through us to get that diploma. That was a difficult solution to come up with, but Brainvire was great at coming up with a plan.
We also contract with other schools, and we’re now able to create an invoice based off of the students we issued courses to or the number of students they sent to us. This has simplified invoicing, so we don’t have to go back-and-forth and cross-check everything.
Going into the partnership, we already knew what we were looking for. If we weren’t positive about how something would work or how to make it work, they were great at problem-solving. I’d let them know my idea for simplifying our processes, and they would come up with a great solution.

We’ve worked with five people, including a project manager and lead developer.

Our project manager is great; she’s helped a lot with any barrier issues we may have had. She’s also great about communicating terminology. She is very thorough on everything she does, from notes to understanding our processes. She’s been really great to work with.

Speaking from experiences with other programmers we’ve used to create a previous database, Brainvire was really quick to understand the process and what we wanted. They’re really proficient.

We had a project where we wanted to set up a web- and app-based platform for our customers to be able to place orders online or to book our services.
We’re a very traditional company and most of the things were analog documented. The company’s operations weren’t prone to digitization, so we contacted Brainvire Infotech.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Brainvire Infotech educated us on how to introduce digitization into the functions and how different tools could be used and implemented in our company. They customized our WordPress platform to cater to not only the sale of tangible products, but also bookings of appointments. This part of the project was a little complicated, because we have two distinct hospitals with different models of operations, but they handled it well.
They had to integrate that to an application for iOS and Android — they developed the mobile apps too. The apps aren’t launched yet but they are in the go-live process and it should be done in a week or so.

My main point of contact is a project manager who’s been my contact throughout. He has a massive team that’s been on call with us for several meetings for presentations.
I’ve also dealt with the person in charge of the app development and someone in charge of the WordPress development. I also have dealt with the person on the admin/finance side. Give or take, I’ve dealt with 7-8 people.

I’m the president of Malt Society Arabia, a social club where we take care of the fine tastes of the people. We go for high-quality single malts, cigars, etc.

We needed automation because we were expanding and becoming more of a formal club where we’d be collecting a joining fee from members.
There are several events, so the workflow was becoming difficult to manage and maintain using Excel sheets and Word documents. We needed a system and needed someone to develop it for us.

Project management was good, and they stuck to the timeline. If needed, they would even work on Sundays in order to stick to the timelines. They told us it would take 75–100 days, and we were live in 90 days despite some delays on our side and the fact that some of our key members weren’t available.

Brainvire Infotech is able to help our team, and we're able to form better connections with the client. They’re able to deliver what we ask for in a timely manner. We’re satisfied with the apps so far, and we haven’t run into any major issues.
How did Brainvire Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?
Their communication is great. We looked at other vendors and their communication wasn’t so great. Brainvire Infotech’s project management is also good. They work in an agile environment as we do, and we get frequent status updates. In terms of communication, we use Jira, Skype, phone calls, and Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Communication is really important in the relationship, and Brainvire Infotech is good in this area.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could have a better process of estimating projects. Sometimes they underestimate the time it takes to complete a project.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure they have a feel for the team that they will work with. Interview the team to understand who you’d like to bring on board. They have a very large team to choose from.

I’m the managing partner of an international freight forwarder company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brainvire Infotech Inc?
We used to do our quotes by email for container load freight. We wanted to give our customers the ability to go online and get a quote rather than having them contact us by email.

Brainvire Infotech helped us develop a browser-based online application. They came in to understand our business first and then they had to understand the business need. They developed and delivered the online application in 3–4 months. The platform is a separate entity from our website.

What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from February–July 2020.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
After the delivery of the application in July, we took another month or so to have it available to our customers. The product has reduced the volume of requests we get via email. The requests we’d get didn’t usually end up going anywhere anyway and we didn’t want to waste time on them.
How did Brainvire Infotech Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
I give them high marks for project management. Usually, when you do an implementation, there’s a lot of stuff that creeps up, or there’s something that hasn’t been considered and will cost extra money, or something that is going to take up a lot of time.
From that perspective, they did pretty well by gathering all the requirements initially and trying to understand everything. We didn’t have too many setbacks. There were some minor ones but nothing major. The team didn’t have a project management tool where we could check the status of things; it was more of an informal call.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The biggest positive for me was the accessibility we had with the team. The primary contact was very flexible. I could always pick up the phone and speak to them. Brainvire Infotech felt like an extension of our team; they didn’t feel like an external team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could have done a better job of having formal updates on where things were going. Even though we were kept abreast of things and talked almost every day, it would have been nice to have a tool where we could see the status of each piece of the project.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you have one point of contact on the client side as well, which is what we had. It always works better when you have one resource from each team talking to each other rather than having multiple sources of information, which could increase the likelihood of things getting mixed up or lead to redundancy.

I’m the director technical and the co-founder of Smartup LLC. We’re into smart parking technology.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brainvire Infotech?
We were looking to develop a mobile app that could solve the parking reservation problem especially in the case of crowded malls in Dubai. When people visit them on a weekend, there’s no way to find a parking space close to a gate.
The time it takes to find parking and to reach the mall entrance would be somewhere between 15–35 minutes on a weekend, which is really bad. We worked on a model of what could be done. We manufacture the devices on our own in Europe and we wanted an app that could talk to the devices.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Brainvire Infotech developed the iOS and Android app. Whoever subscribes to the app gets three free parking spots. They can book parking in advance and Google map navigates them to the specific parking lot.
Once they’re in the parking lot, they’re directed to the parking spot. We charge a fee but your parking time is lower for you and you have fantastic parking in a premium location in the mall. We also engaged in additional marketing which was quite helpful. We were doing our own marketing on the side.
What is the team composition?
I was predominantly dealing with a leader and a project manager. There were about 10 people involved in the entire development process.
How did you come to work with Brainvire Infotech?
We read their reviews online. We had a competitive RFP on which three partners bid, and we chose them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $180,000–$210,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked on this project from April 2017–January 2018. Our engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We have about 20 operational sides across Dubai. I have a team of about 40 people. They encouraged mall shoppers to download the app and get online. The digital marketing had an impact, and the app works beautifully. We had rate changes in between.
We had unique scenarios for specific sites. All of them were taken care of quite well by Brainvire Infotech. We’re satisfied with how well the app functions. It has a 4+ rating on Google and Apple.
How did Brainvire Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?
They had a dedicated project management team. We had regular weekly calls throughout the development process. Even now, we have a fortnightly call where they manage the support. It’s good.
They’re doing well as a company. We treat them more like partners and not vendors. They come up with creative ideas, which is good for our business. They use their own project management tools.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their timely availability of resources is impressive. Most of our work is at malls on the weekends. If there’s an issue on the weekend, they’re available 24/7. Other providers would stop working on weekends.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They’re doing a good job technically. From a communication angle, you do find a few people who are ready to take action but that’s up to my team who is dealing with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Talk to them. Try and choose your team. We had a good technical team at our end. We had five people on our side with past experience working with mobile apps. Choose your developers well. Make sure your requirements spec is up to the mark. We made sure our specs were right to get the best value for money.
Make sure what you get from a technical company like Brainvire Infotech Inc is absolutely perfect because they are adaptive. They don’t shy away from small changes here or there.

There is no availability of the customized CRM, so we were looking for the solution which can meet our need. The finance industry does not have any good CRM solutions so far, so we were looking solution with some strong base on which we can build our solution. Brainvire was given a task to find such solution and build our solution on top of that.

Brainvire selected AuroCRM as their platform which is based on SugarCRM which meets our perfect needs and then we built our complete solution on top of that. BA, Project Manager are the people with whom I was directly connected with. There were other people but I am not connected with them.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We did a good job and launched software, and it grab amazingly well in the COVID situation. We got 5000+ subscription in first month and right now handling 20,000+ subscription in our platform.

We used JIRA for project management and calls were over Skype. We were connected once in a week and things were smooth. It took more than what we anticipated but we added lots of features as well.

Their knowledge about finance domain, they surprised me many times. They speak finance terms and understanding about latest technology in Fintech.
