The scope of work involved designing and implementing a custom AI-powered product customization workflow within our existing WordPress and WooCommerce environment.

Brainvire developed a front-end customer form that allows users to upload pet images, verified user accounts automatically, and integrated an AI-based background removal process to generate transparent pet images. These AI-processed images were then dynamically placed onto predefined product templates and added to the WooCommerce cart using standard checkout flows.

The project also included backend enhancements to store finalized images in the WordPress media library after successful payment, associate them with order metadata, and display them in both customer-facing order history and the admin order management interface for fulfillment.

Additional deliverables included UI/UX refinements to streamline the customization journey, centralized quantity handling for unisex products, product preview functionality, cart and checkout data persistence, and order-level image access for printer and fulfillment workflows. All work was delivered as fixed-scope enhancements without changes to core WooCommerce payment logic or proprietary AI model development.

The project successfully delivered a fully functional MVP for AI-based product customization within our WooCommerce environment. Customers can now upload pet images, have them automatically processed through AI background removal, and preview the resulting image on a product before adding it to the cart.

From an operational standpoint, the system reliably handles user account creation, image processing, product attachment, and order-level image storage without manual intervention. This reduced internal handling time for custom orders and eliminated the need for manual image preparation prior to fulfillment.

The completed workflow validated the technical feasibility of AI-assisted personalization for our business and provided a scalable foundation for future enhancements and feature expansion.

Brainvire was originally brought on to help us transition from Magento Open Source to Adobe Commerce. This project was finished ahead of schedule and under budget. Since then, they have become an invaluable partner by augmenting our staff to bring their expertise and knowledge of our system so that we did not lose momentum as our staff left the company. 

Our inital project was to bring both of our existing websites rev-a-shelf.com and trescolighting.com to Adobe Commerce. They worked with us to marry the two backend systems into 1 and help us transition existing code to work within the Adobe Commerce Framework. We expected this transition to take 6 months. With their help we were able to get it done in 4. Since then we have improved site speed and have had 0 downtime on our platforms. Code was also merged so that we are now able to do one set of code changes to deploy changes to both sites at once.
Brainvire is now an integral part of the Rev-A-Shelf Digital Development strategy helping us launch 5 additional websites and continuing to work on new smaller projects to improve our user experience and keep up with security updates as they are released.

Our intial measurables were to move our websites to the Adobe Commerce platform without losing functionality or lose business functionality from our users. To track progress we set up communication via teams and 2 weekly meetings so that our in house team and Brainvire to openly and quickly collaborate. We created three environments, one for development integration, one for production staging and one for production so that we could move and merge code as different phases were complete. using Azure we tracked indivudual tasks and their progress towards the end goal.

Brainvire did a great job handling work from both teams and merging it into our repository so that the project progressed on time, ahead of time, to meet all benchmarks set at the beginning of the project. I'm the operations manager for Alarkan General Trading FZE, a free zone company for B2B export customers. Our core business is automotive spare parts, mainly for genuine Japanese brands like Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Lexus. We have an import-export business and provide our services in the UAE to the local market.

We needed help with e-commerce platform development. Our goal was to provide our customers with ease of access to our system, real-time prices and availability, and the ability to place their orders; it was mainly for B2B customers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Brainvire Infotech Inc developed our e-commerce platform from scratch. They took the UX/UI design from our existing website, used Adobe Magento to build the platform, and integrated e-commerce into the website.
The payment gateway is still underway because the project was done in phases. The first phase was to go live with the website. Existing customers can log in and create accounts to see the prices and availability, and place their orders. 
The second phase will start next month and include the payment gateways, credit facilities, and integration with our ERP system.
They also modified the design of our existing website and will include SEO services in the second phase. 

What is the team composition?

We were initially in contact with Mr. Chintan, their CEO. Then we met the project manager and two to three sales teammates. Once we signed the contract, we were introduced to Dipesh, the developer and a project manager. Between 10 to 15 people were included in the whole project, from the project manager to the developer and the project lead.

How did you come to work with Brainvire Infotech Inc?

Adobe recommended three or four partners to us. After a couple of meetings with everyone, we chose them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $80,000–$90,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We signed the contract in October 2024. The first phase was completed, and we went live on February 15, 2025. We have already signed a contract with them for the second phase, which will start in May 2025. So, the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team is amazing. They are unique, and we are happy with them. We are pleased that we chose them. They are pretty supportive regarding complex scenarios and achieving our goals. The team assigned the right people to us and helped us understand how the system works and how we can manage many things. We asked them to implement some tough stuff in the system for us, which wasn’t possible by default in Magento. However, they managed to do it for us.

When it comes to the project and the deadlines, you cannot consistently achieve them because of complex situations that might occur during the project. But they achieved the deadlines 95% of the time. Complex situations might occur during the project; 5% of the time, they didn’t meet the deadline because of us.

Between the integration and the first phase, we realized some complex requirements. We did not discover them beforehand, but realized some things and informed them. Meanwhile, we learned some things when the project was in process and told them. They managed to do it for us, but it slightly changed the deadline.

We don't use any project management tools. I have my tools to see the progress and communicate with the project management team; it’s pretty basic, but it works for me. We communicate with the team most of the time through Google Meet.

We had some online offshore meetings. The developer also came to the UAE to meet us and spent one month with us for the exploration and development phases. We also acquired the development team to be on-site, so they spent one and a half months with us. And even after going live, we had 10 days with them on-site support. So, for one and a half months, they were with us. And with the other team, we were having meetings on Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their top-notch support level and understanding of complex scenarios are their most distinguished qualities. Their developers and the whole team are pretty experienced. They suggested a few things that enhanced our website performance. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We didn’t notice anything in the first phase. We'll see in the next phase.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

To achieve better performance and results, you have to follow up and be on top of things. You need to follow up regularly. That’s what we did with them. We had weekly follow-ups and arranged meetings to meet their team in the UAE or offshore. It’s critical to follow up on each point, note all the pending points, acquire deadlines from them, and follow up accordingly.

Thanks to Brainvire's work, we've seen a tremendous increase in traffic on both our retail stores and our website. We've also noticed an improvement in our social media engagement and customer communication with our stores. For example, we've seen an increase in phone calls and emails from customers who want to reach out to us. Overall, our engagement and traffic have increased by around 70%, which is tremendous.

How did Brainvire Infotech Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Our communication has been via email on a daily basis. They're always communicating with us and sending weekly and monthly reports. Whenever they have a question about whatever they're working on, they're great at communicating with us and staying on top of the project. We also have weekly meetings, and whatever we discuss in those, Brainvire delivers and takes care of our requests right away. We use Google Docs for document management and Zoom for our weekly meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

For each task we've worked on together, Brainvire has great teammates who handle it well. They're all great at what they do, and they've put together a great project for our business. They're all very involved, which has been helpful for our project to succeed.

Brainvire has been great at both our website development and marketing, so I'm very impressed with the results. I'm not able to tell if their strength lies more in one of the two areas because both sides of the project have resulted in positive results regarding sales and customer engagement. Their strength in both areas is very high.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Every week, Brainvire has been improving things as a team. The longer we work with them, the more they get involved with our business. Moreover, the more we capture things and follow their suggestions, the more we've been improving as a team as well.

I don't feel there's a particular area in which Brainvire needs to improve. As every week goes by, we've been improving and knowing what our business is and how we can keep growing it.

We engaged with Brainvire for our project, and their performance was commendable. They demonstrated a thorough understanding of our requirements from the outset and executed the project accordingly. 
Throughout the implementation phase, they encountered various challenges but consistently showed resilience and problem-solving skills to overcome them effectively. As a result, they successfully delivered the project within the agreed timelines and to our satisfaction.

In what ways can they improve?

They should inform customers about the limitations of any theme. While implementing the theme, we encountered instances where theme support or functionality was either unavailable or restricted, resulting in additional project costs incurred for necessary enhancements.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

I would suggest the clients with similar needs below 5 things:

1. Assess theme features thoroughly.
2. Explore alternative themes and compare each segment of them giving scores. Whichever gets the higher score go with that.
3. Clarify support and customization costs upfront, if in case you want to add on or develop anything.
4. Prioritize project requirements clearly.
5. Communicate expectations and project scope clearly in writing with the vendor.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an e-commerce manager for Kashkha, a renowned brand for women’s fashion. We have product lines like Jalabiya, nightwear, and ponchos. I manage the website.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brainvire Infotech Inc?

We wanted to rebrand our Shopify website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Although they have many other services, our primary focus with Brainvire Infotech Inc is revamping the website. We want to go ahead and change the platform; this will be our third time.

The website was already there, but they’ve changed it to a new theme. However, some functionalities aren’t available within the theme, so they have to do some workarounds to make the functionality compatible.

Initially, we shared our comments and expectations with them and shared a document. We discussed the document, what was possible, and what would be included. We decided on the final project, and then we started.

In the future, we might go ahead and move the platform from Shopify to Magento. Brainvire Infotech Inc is good on both platforms, so we won’t have to explain from scratch if we choose to change. It’ll be easier to migrate from Shopify to any other platform.

What is the team composition?

We’ve mainly worked with three teammates. Initially, a representative helped us understand the requirements. Once that was done, we contacted two people: a project manager and a technical person. She’s the one working on the project and communicating with us.

How did you come to work with Brainvire Infotech Inc?

We discussed our requirements within the group. We then approached vendors and spoke to many of them. We similarly approached Brainvire Infotech Inc, which looked like a technically sound company. We were looking for someone who could understand the requirements, and they knew how to work to fulfill them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $7,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in mid-April 2024. The work is almost done; we will launch the new theme next week.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We work with a few other vendors. Every vendor starts by saying something is possible, but when you actually start working, they miss many things. For example, we selected another agency, and at the time of implementation, we learned that they didn’t support the language we were looking for. We had to change our approach for the theme developer. Many said we needed to spend some money on this kind of job. Other vendors also said we needed to spend $2,850 for this, which was an additional expenditure. It was very expensive, so we couldn’t be up for it.

How did Brainvire Infotech Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

The project has been running on time. Due to the holidays, we haven’t been able to dive in, so there’s been some delay from our end. 

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

The developer is very valuable and passionate about working on the project. She doesn’t want to delay us and always wants to deliver within the timeframe. Whenever possible, she thinks outside the box and tries to fix things as soon as possible.

Similarly, the project manager always ensures that the project is going well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They assist us whenever we require it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should suggest what’s going on with current technologies and how we can improve. Customers aren’t technically savvy about what’s going on in their own sites. Brainvire Infotech Inc could make suggestions and help us understand if there’s any other way. 

If there are any specific customer requirements, many developers just follow them; they won’t go here and there. They will ask what they’ll do in second place, but those pieces are essential; we can’t discuss every small point.

Moreover, when you start implementation, there are many components where you need to have something to add a certain functionality. For example, the theme didn’t support Arabic. We didn’t know that until we implemented it, so we had to rely on a third-party app. From our perspective, every development theme should support all languages and currencies.

After the issue, they told us it wasn’t discussed. They needed to customize it and recharge us. This wasn’t predictable. However, if a developer already builds websites for others who face the same challenges, they should tell us this happens so we won’t have any problems. As customers, we should never encounter such issues.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I suggest doing your proper homework during the implementation phase. Don’t naively believe in any developer; you should have good knowledge about what you want. Also, you should have proper documentation about your requirements and what is possible. When you’re orally discussing the project, every developer says that everything is possible, but when they start doing it, they can’t deliver what they promised.

Communication is essential. The person who initially communicates with you will say anything is possible, but the person working on the project will not be involved in that discussion. They'll have no idea what was said in the meeting, so they will follow what is written.

Additionally, when you decide on a project for a particular amount, and something keeps on coming, the project value will be high.

We had a very large file of products where we needed to hide a vendors part# from multiple places on the webpage.  It was not something I thought would be possible without problems with other items we list not related to this task.  Brainvire was able to quickly and effeciently do what was needed.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We use Brainvire for multiple things on our Bigcommerce website.  So far they have been far and above any web development company we used.  Over a period of about 10 years we have used various developers and Brainvire seems the best so far.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

They always seem to deliver in timely manner and understand tasks at hand.  If they don't know the answer they usually research and come up with plans that fix our issues.

They are easy to work with.  Very respectful and professional.  Their rates are better than companies we used in the past and they are better than them also.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Brainvire Infotech Inc could have done differently?

Being they are based in India and English is not thier first language they can be a little hard to understand on calls.  We seem to work through that and get things done anyway.
