We just had the initial meetings to define the SEO and marketing strategy efforts, so we don’t have any results in that regard yet.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bower Web Solutions designed and developed our website from scratch. Initially, I had a call with them, during which they asked me a lot of general questions about the company and our main goals for the website to have a better idea of what we were looking for. We also provided them with information and content for the website, as well as other documentation about our products.

After the discovery call, Bower Web Solutions came back with a first draft for the website. Then, they built the site in WordPress. Additionally, they took care of its hosting. Our goal was to make the website very simple. Thus, its main feature is providing a very simple user journey for customers to make requests easily.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Bower Web Solutions facilitated a very easy process, and they were able to achieve what we were looking for. Even with the very first draft, we were happy and impressed with the quality of their work. However, it’s too early to see tangible results; the website was launched a week ago. Still, we’ll keep track of our traffic and engagement moving forward to see the impact of our new site.

Bower Web Solutions kept track of everything and kept us updated throughout the process. Additionally, they were very quick to communicate with us, and they stayed within the budget. Overall, it was a very good process. We mostly communicated via email.

Hence, they focus on streamlining our emails. In terms of the process, they create the templates, and we take care of the copy, which they help us fine-tune.

Their work is spot on. Our email opening rate has greatly improved for us, and we’re very pleased with Bower Web Solutions’ work throughout the years.

Our website was outdated, and we wanted to upgrade our website’s technology. We engaged Bower Web Solutions to design and build an informational website to provide potential patients and referring clinicians with knowledge about our services. We also wanted the site to act as a mode of communication for patients and clinicians.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we created an agreement that detailed the projected timeline and costs for the engagement. Then, the Bower Web Solutions team pulled content from our existing website and used new technologies to design and build a new website. They also modernized our color scheme and implemented it on the new site. Additionally, we hired a photographer to capture new images of our physicians and office, and the team strategically placed the new photos on our site. 

We met with Bower Web Solutions for periodic content reviews. They also created a construction version of the website that we utilized to request changes and make updates pre-launch. After modifying our internal IT infrastructure, they helped us launch the website. The website features a payment tool and patient portal for patients to communicate with us. 

We plan to continue partnering with Bower Web Solutions for community outreach and marketing initiatives.

We just launched the new website, so we don’t have analytics, but we’ve received positive internal feedback regarding the site’s attractive design and new technology. They also made our color scheme crisper and clearer. Since we’re not web developers, I relied on Bower Web Solutions to fill our knowledge gaps and deliver on our asks, and they did a great job. 

How did Bower Web Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Bower Web Solutions was an efficient, communicative partner; they were very responsive when I reached out. The team delivered everything on time, but I wanted to postpone our website launch until our IT infrastructure was entirely in place. 

The whole process was very team-oriented, and we developed a trusting relationship. They did a good job understanding our goals and helping us accomplish them. I’m not IT savvy, so I deferred to them for a lot of the decision-making, and I was pleased with their performance. The web developer clearly laid things out and explained things to us, which was very helpful. We had conference calls via MS Teams and communicated via email. We also had a handful of Zoom sessions to critique the new website together.

I was impressed with the individualized attention they provided. They were very invested in helping us reach our goals and didn’t make me feel like just another client.

Even if I tried to be hypercritical, I have nothing Bower Web Solutions could improve on.

My website wasn’t working, and I needed someone to fix it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bower Web Solutions fixed my WordPress website within two days. They went inside my site's coding, looked at all the mistakes I made while trying to modify it, and fixed them so I could have my site up and running again. Their team also changed some of the plug-ins, and they went through some of the error files.

More recently, they've done some SEO and marketing work on my new website adapting to Kartra, a tool I'm using that they don't. In addition, we've worked collaboratively to come up with the keywords for the campaigns.

Moreover, they've been analyzing my site and giving me a list of things I need to improve or fix, classifying them with red, yellow, and green colors to understand which enhancements were urgent and which ones could wait.

Without them, I wouldn't have gotten my website fixed as quickly as possible. I was trying to work with GoDaddy, and even them as the host couldn't fix it, but Bower Web Solutions was able to do that.

In addition, I've seen more sales in the past month.

We mostly communicate with Dan and Phil via email, phone calls, and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team has taken a friendly approach, even to my personal problems, which I think it's nice. I'm not a huge client for them, but they still called to check on me.

Sometimes, some members of their team were a bit slow in responding, but then again, so am I. I don't think it's a huge problem; it's just how I am and how they are combined, but in the end, everything still gets done, and it hasn't been a rush for me.

I recommend giving Dan a call and speaking to him. Let him know what you're looking for, and he'll come up with ideas on what they can do for you to start focusing on what's important.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We received several proposals for website redesign but we selected Bower for their reasonable fee and for their personal service. I like that it is easy to communicate with a team member when I need help with the website. I also like how Bower has had the same employees for years so I know who I am working with.

We had numerous discussions over the look and feel that we were seeking to achieve with a redesign. Bower would provide sample templates which they customized. Once a look was selected, Bower set up a temporary site where I could view the development in real time. Once the website was ready for launch, Bower handled the transition from the old website to the new. Since launch, Bower has continued to provide maintenance services for an annual retainer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our website has been a continual driver of business for our law firm with year over year traffic increases. I believe the design of the website and the SEO is a key driver of that traffic.

Typical communication is through email, which is my preferred communication. Bower is consistently extremely responsive to addressing questions or requests for maintenance on the website.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The continuity of the team. Web design can be a high turnover business. I feel comfortable knowing the people I communicate with will be there for my firm's needs.. In addition, I have been pitched many website services over the years. Bower does not seek to up-sell products, or to charge a large maintenance fee. The limited annual cost was a differentiating factor for my business.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There was plenty of going back and forth on design since I had a very specific vision for my firm's website. It took some time to get that vision to be realized. However, through showing samples of what I was looking for, Bower was able to achieve my objective.
