We’ve been working with Bower Web Solutions for around eight years. Initially, they created an email service for us without needing a physical server on-site and implemented a feature for archiving emails for permanent storage per our request. Their team has also designed and developed a website for us from scratch, which they now maintain on an ongoing basis.

On the site, tenants can get more information about us, and they can create an account to set up their rent payments — that was the site's original purpose. However, when the pandemic hit, we required Bower Web Solutions to update the website and include an option for our tenants to sign up for our mailing list. This feature is connected to our Constant Contact account, so we can now send mass emails to all of our tenants.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The email service developed by Bower Web Solutions has been running for years, and it is still working perfectly. Additionally, the improvements they made to our site when the COVID-19 pandemic started were very helpful. They implemented those upgrades very quickly, which was important because we needed to keep in touch with our tenants.

Overall, our engagement with Bower Web Solutions has been 100% successful. Thanks to their implementations, our tenants knew exactly who to contact, which phone number to call, and how to pay their rent during the COVID-19 pandemic. To this day, they’re able to access our information and easily join the mailing list. The site works exactly as we needed it to work.

Bower Web Solutions’ communication is great, and I always get the projects finished by the deadline they promise. I am the principal of an advertising and journal publishing business. I retired in 2021 but I volunteer for a number of historical societies and community development organizations serving as a communications specialist focusing on website design, content management, PR and fundraising.

Bower Web Solution's first project with me was the development of the first website for a large commercial printer in northern New Jersey. Beside promoting their services, the company needed secure e-commerce functionality. The printer is still a client. After that, around 2014, BWS built a responsive Wordpress site for a municipality in southern New York that enabled me and and government employee non-professionals to update easily and frequently. The town is still a BWS client. Thereafter, we worked - and are still working on - a number of websites for non-profits.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

In this day and age it is hard to find web hosting and support companies that aren't offshore and accessible with a phone call. Bower's responsiveness to my clients' concerns and my technical needs enabled me to concentrate on design and communication.

Ongoing server-side support. Aid in transitioning from legacy web building technologies to up-to-date ones. As for project steps; BWS built and maintained a good number of the web platforms I still work on, enabling me to concentrate on content management and design. BWS introduced me to WordPress, handles all of the theme updates, plug-in updates and alerts me to SEO trends. Bower Web Solution's admin Softaculous tools for each website are easy to use and provide robust functions; from analytics to E-Blast functionality.

Four including CEO Dan, Web Developer Tom, Creative Director Omar and Office Manager Zena.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

BWS helped me build and currently maintains the website for a world renowned harness racing track in southern New York and a municipal government website, also in New York state. Their respective annual revenues are not shared with me, but they must be considerable. A non-profit website I still team up with BWS on has brought in over $70,000.00 in donations since its inception. Thanks to the site's natural SEO capability, as opposed to pay per click alternatives, the site receives a lot of attention and praise. BWS is proficient in natural SEO, Google AdWords and Geotargeting marketing.

BWS is always responsive and quick to provide solutions and suggestions that address customers' needs. The company is not remote or offshore. Dealing with the same set of professionals enables project development continuity. Whether by phone or email, one can always expect optimal service. I haven't availed myself of other communication apps because I haven't felt the need to. The website admins are easy-to-use.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

As I've said, I have worked with Bower Web Solutions for about fifteen years on many commercial and nonprofit websites. I was very grateful to them for their unfailing attentiveness to the websites I was responsible for as a web designer. Omar, Dan and Tom are always responsive, courteous and a pleasure to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

BWS has enabled be to grow as a web designer, since the days of dial-up (1995) when I began. Before BWS, I worked with other web hosting companies that were already in contract with the commercial clients I served. They all proved to be unreliable between being remote, often unreachable and always undergoing staff changes that made ongoing site development difficult within an environment of constant changes in technology.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The performance of our site has improved, and our website traffic has been steadily increasing.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They recommended meeting with their Marketing Manager once a week, which we did for the first few months. Based on my schedule we have changed to bi-weekly meetings. But their team is always availalble via email, and very responsive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Excellent communication, highly responsive to support requests. Very knowledgable about SEO and websites. And they are not trying to just throw money at marketing efforts. All strategies are well thought out and thoroughly explained, so I can make the decisions that are right for my company and my clients. I am also impressed with how Dan B. personally makes sure that we are satisfied with the work his team is doing.

They are doing an excellent job, despite constraints on the availability of my team due to staffing issues.

We had a security issue that I requested help on, which turned out to be a critical collaboration between our organization and Bower's Solutions. They were swift in responding, which helped us resolve this issue quickly.

Bowers Web Solutions has been very good at reaching out on action items that needed to be completed on our end that would have fallen through the cracks. They have also been good at communicating the project's status and next action items.

I appreciate their pleasant customer service that is extended not just through their technical expertise but also administratively, keeping us apprised of the hours left on a project contract.

I do not have anything that comes to mind where I might suggest an improvement.

They are very efficient and organized when it comes to work. They also expedite their phone calls and can have things running as soon as the same day if you reach out in time.

About 3 People have. Dan who is the owner if I'm not mistaken set me up with both Zena and Omar. Zena is like a receptionist who I spoke to when wanting to pay or had any questions. Omar was the developer working on the website. Everyone on their team is super friendly and easy to get in touch with.

The website is huge to get my name out their to start marketing/advertising so I am very excited for what is to come.

How quickly everything can happen really surprised me, in less than a week I had a 100% functioning website.

They are a local company and as a nonprofit we like to utilize businesses that are located in the town we work in. They also came recommended from residents of the town.

We started the engagement with a discussion, wherein Bower Web Solutions helped me understand my long-term goals. I had a very interactive session of calls and get-togethers with them, talking about how to set the website up and increase its functionality. After that, we started to design the website.

I wanted the site to be first-class, attractive, and user-friendly and set up so they could build on it over time. They linked the site with the warehouse, so when people put book orders in, they'll all get delivered. They handled all of the interfacings with the distribution side of the business.

Aside from that, Bower Web Solutions has recently done a YouTube video for one of my books.

I’m very impressed with Bower Web Solutions’ professionalism and ability to get things done. They know what they’re doing. I have a high degree of confidence that whatever I ask them to do, they'll do it, and they'll get it done efficiently and effectively. They're a good partner in the sense that we can work with them, talk through things, and share ideas. Their goal is the same as ours, so they try to make the product as good as they can.

We searched around and were impressed with Bower Web Solutions' resume - and they were local, so we could have in-person meetings with Dan or team if needed. We went with them because they've built similar website / other non profit work before.

We wanted to build a website where we could capture "leads" to new members for the non profit, and make sure we had a professional appearance and concise idea of what we were about when people checked us out. We needed the website built, plus lead gen / key word search optimization when it was finished to make sure people click through to us. Lastly, some compelling calls to action to capture a lead and send it to one of our marketing people to follow up on.

We worked primarily with dan, but we also know that Omar and Tom have done work on the back side of the site, per his instruction / recommendation.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Yes, we've experience high growth + retention in our non profit's membership. We also are appreciate of the website's ability to work, while we sleep - we get e-mails regularly at odd, off business hours, with leads coming in, from people searching for what we do. We also have a better retention rate for membership.

BWS was open to ideas, but we really leaned on their experience to make things look proper. They're also very responsive when part of the website needs to be adjusted, or a new page / area carved out from a member's idea. We can call, or e-mail the team and they take care of us.

They've done a great job and treated us like family or friends who care about our cause. It was nice to have a local face, and a team we can talk with if we needed help or support.
