The Natrol and Jarrow Formula brands each required a new DTC e-commerce website built on Shopify. For Jarrow in particular, the website design needed to match the company’s new brand guidelines. The Natrol website needed to be replatformed to Shopify. Boundary provided

Boundary are a smaller team but that was the perfect fit for what we needed most as they could adapt or pivot more easily. They were prompt in responding to requests and incorporating the feedback provided. They were great partners to work with on the project and even after the new websites were deployed, they've still continued to be our web agency to provide ongoing support and maintenance.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Boundary could have done differently?

During initial design concept development, Boundary could have presented ideas that pushed the envelope even further.

Boundary has done outstanding work across multiple projects ranging from UX/animation design, prototyping, mobile app development, and web development. Their team is amazing to work with, and I would highly recommend them as they are fast, flexible, and deliver exceptional work. Our initial project was to create new animations and build a prototype for one of the core features of our mobile app. 

Deliverables included a Figma prototype, AfterEffects files, and a developer handoff guide for motion work. Their work was very high quality, and their team was very responsive and able to execute to meet all of our needs. Since that original project was delivered, we have hired them for additional motion/animation work that has included similar deliverables for other features, as well as for some of our promotional materials. 

We have also contracted with them to augment our internal engineering team to bring on a mobile engineering resource. They were assigned to the development of one of the features that Boundary had delivered the animations and prototypes for, and the engineer was able to plug in with our team and make an impact right away.

In addition, Boundary has helped us with a website rebuild, delivering a fully functional website built on Webflow. They were able to execute quickly in order to roll out the new site on time and looking great!

• While we are unable to share specific company metrics, Boundary's work has contributed to an increase in velocity on our engineering team, a noticeable improvement on the core engagement experiences of our mobile app, and churned out an amazing new website that funnels new users to our waitlist!

I cannot say enough about the quality of their work! I have hired many agencies in the past for similar work, and they are easily the best value out of all of them. Their team is highly professional, creative, and passionate about their clients' projects. Boundary created end-to-end user click paths for custom built enterprise-wide applications for five sales and marketing solutions. For each application, Boundary began the planning phase with the internal project team to idéate on possible solutions for each problem presented. Boundary designers worked through multiple iterations and countless design sessions in order to create click flows that were intuitive for multiple user roles and provisioning required throughout the apps.

Based on final Boundary designs, internal project team built several tools made available to 3,000+ end users.

Most impressive is the ease in working with Boundary designers. They are quite complementary in terms of culture fit and think outside the box to provide solutions our internal team members may not have considered before. I appreciate how Boundary is a global team and this helps with turnaround times by taking advantage of time zone differences. They are attentive to detail, quite creative, and very receptive to feedback.

Project management can be improved by understanding the complete portfolio of all work being sent over by various stakeholders from our company. A high level overview of incumbent work can help better project when to reach out to Boundary and assist project managers in identifying the right times in asking for assistance.

Our business was looking for a marketing agency partner who could provide full-cycle branding services (from brand direction to design and copywriting to implementation) to help us build our brand and public-facing marketing site.

We found them through a third-party agency vetting company called Breef. We reviewed applications from 3-5 different agencies, and interviewed 2, and ultimately selected Boundary. We're glad we did!

Boundary started with a project kickoff meeting, where we explained our business objectives, industry quirks, and needs. Boundary listened well to understand. After this call, they provided a Project Plan and Timeline.

Next, they provided a Branding Exercise which all our founders completed, then stewarded a conversation with our team after analyzing our responses to this Branding Exercise. Then Boundary created Brand Identity and Concepts options for us to discuss and select from.

They then compiled this into individual assets, splash page, home page, and individual page designs. In parallel, they help to provide us with copywriting and brandable chunks based on their understanding of our offering. Finally, Boundary built and implemented our public site in a no-code CMS tool with some custom code as well.

We worked primarily with 5-6 people at Boundary including a point person / copywriting expert & business advisor, branding and design expert, a project manager, and two designers. Boundary is super high-touch and personalized, and we had a great working relationship with Marc and George and the rest of the team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Because of the project, we have a business name, solidified logo and color palette, brandable chunks of copy to mix and match, and a well-integrated on-brand on-message marketing website that we're proud to share with prospects and customers.

We had regular check-ins built into the project plan. Every meeting was productive and drove real value. Asynchronously, we communicated primarily via email and a Slack channel which allowed us to be nimble and work tightly together.

Everyone we interacted with at Boundary was a great communicator, and Boundary was always timely with getting back to any of our questions or concerns same-day or within a day.

initially, we were impressed with their portfolio, especially their design talent and experience working with ambitious technology companies. Over time, I discovered that their real hidden edge is their ability to listen, digest and synthesize business objectives, and then allow that to inform their design and copy.

I don't think there's any area where they didn't deliver above and beyond.

We had an initial meeting, and they listened to my goals and vision. We had several meetings with several rounds of feedback.

After approving the direction and design, they went into development. After delivering, we had more feedback and revisions. The process was smooth and accommodating. Lots of design firms don't do revisions or limit them, Boundary really worked through the kinks.

What challenge were you trying to address with Boundary?

We needed help creating a modern, elevated website that aligned with our evolving brand, especially with the launch of our new sync division, AM2.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Boundary designed and developed our new company website, which included both our core brand presence for Angry Mob Music and a standalone microsite for our new sync division, AM2. The scope covered UX and visual design, site architecture, front- and back-end development, and CMS integration. Main deliverables included a fully responsive website, custom artist and writer pages, a branded news and press section, and the AM2 microsite with a distinct but connected visual identity. They also provided animated logo treatments and style guidance to help ensure brand consistency across platforms.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The launch of the new site has significantly elevated our brand presence and helped us better communicate who we are to key industry partners. We've received consistent positive feedback from music supervisors, artists, and collaborators who've noted how much more polished, intuitive, and reflective of our identity the new site feels. Internally, the improved backend functionality and CMS have made it much easier for our team to keep content up to date, which has led to better engagement with our latest news, signings, and placements. While we're still collecting long-term performance data, the early response has been a clear signal that the site is doing exactly what we needed it to.

How did Boundary perform from a project management standpoint?

Boundary's project management was strong throughout. They were organized, communicative via email, and kept the process moving with clear timelines and regular check-ins. There was a brief pause in development during the LA fires, which impacted both of our teams and understandably caused some delays on both sides. That said, they stayed flexible and responsive, and once things resumed, the project moved forward smoothly. In the end, they delivered a polished site that fully met our goals. The collaboration felt steady and solutions-oriented from start to finish.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What stood out most about Boundary was their ability to translate our brand vision into a clean, modern design that felt elevated without being overdesigned. They listened closely, brought smart creative solutions to the table, and were highly collaborative throughout the process. It never felt like a one-size-fits-all approach; they really tailored the experience to our needs and were thoughtful about how to present our company in a way that felt authentic and impactful. Are there any areas they could improve?

Given the impact of the Los Angeles fires on both of our teams, the original timeline shifted, and the project lingered a bit longer than expected. As we got into the homestretch, there was an understandable sense of project fatigue on both sides. That said, Boundary remained collaborative and responsive, especially as we worked together to tighten up a few last-minute requests. They handled those final rounds with care and attention to detail and ultimately delivered a site we're incredibly proud of.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Boundary has helped us with our brand identity. We gave them a lot. Initially, they went 0 to 1 on our brand identity, then split it into numerous assets to follow from our website build on Webflow, to fundraising decks, sales decks, one-pagers, miscellaneous social asset packs, software and product mocks, and ongoing ideation sessions on positioning. Almost two years later, we are still seeing the same energy from them and focus on the brand.

The deliverables have been the brand identity and asset packs, the Webflow website, 5+ decks, several one-pagers, social packs and strategy, and multiple rounds of repositioning and messaging. We also have monthly syncs.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have closed more deals, and people recognize the brand more and more. We also have many folks tell us that this is one of the most beautiful brands they have ever seen. We can’t give exact numbers or percentages related to the deals we have closed or the brand recognition, but it has improved a lot. More people are recognizing us, they have seen the logo and the colors, and they know broadly what we do. Above all else, Boundary enabled us to go 0 to 1 in a space where there was not a lot of structure to go off of.

How did Boundary perform from a project management standpoint?

Boundary’s project management is always great. They communicate daily. Marc is great at that. We communicate daily via Slack as if we were one team, and it has been awesome.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We are impressed with their communication and the feeling that we are one team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everything we wanted naturally corrected itself over time, and the result was no additional needs. Anytime we found we wanted more attention on something, it was natural to ask in Slack, and they quickly got on top of it. It’s like working with a team where we are honest with each other. It's a team of good people, who care, and that lends well to the natural correction of anything you need in a long or short term partnership.
